The Official "Complain about being beat by Seattle Defense" Thread

I don't like Mathews at all but I'm pretty sure he, a playable RB2 on the upswing, is more valuable than Moore, a WR3 kind of guy who is hardly any better than the Sidney Rice or Stevie Johnson you'd otherwise be playing. I'll take that trade all day. With that kind of depth I'd have looked to make a real upgrade somewhere and if nobody bites, well you still get great depth. Which is nice when Sproles and DMac injured at the same time so you're not forced to play trash like Rashad "I am definitely NOT Maurice Jones-Drew" Jennings. :chaos:

So um, Shakeitup offered me Cecil Shorts and Andre Roberts for Hakeem Nicks, a horrible trade on paper. Shorts then proceeds to go for 19 points......fml.

While I'm not sure why anybody would want to take waiver trash in a trade, I'm not sure at this point whether or not Nicks is ever going to bounce back to old form but it's like when Chris Johnson was sucking. His known potential is too valuable to give up on and all you can do is hope he gets his shit together before he's tanked your fantasy season, because you probably don't have another potential starter whose ceiling is that high and he doesn't have much value on the market for you to get anyone else.

So I expected to lose this week because I have RG3, Alfred Morris, and GB Defense and Kicker all on bye. I did my best to get people to start and it actually looked I had a chance if I could get a TD out of Stokely, I did, and if Foster could outscore AP despite AP having the way better matchup. But then Flacco.

Oh, and I picked up Foles before it was clear Vick was starting but dropped him for Sanchez when they stuck with Vick. Now Vick is out so Foles will probably throw five TDs to piss me off.

<MrE> 68.82-121.64
<MrE> 58.16-102.48
<MrE> 56.56-124.54

Fun time with fantasy football this week. :evan::evan::evan:

I was down by 34 vs waterbomb

Enter Houston Texans defense vs Bears

3 turnovers in first quarter.

Could be a great night.

If the Baltimore Bullets played every team in the league every week, they would be 78-12.

The Baltimore Bullets have led Smogon League B every week this season.

The Baltimore Bullets have scored 1,489.92 points, for an average of 149 points per game. The two weeks the Baltimore Bullets lost, they scored under 135 points. In their eight victories, the Baltimore Bullets have scored at least 135 points. The second most points scored by a team is 1282.26.

Even though the Baltimore Bullets have not had to play themselves, they have still are #2 in Points Against.

I'm a little worried with the Harvin injury and Eli being terrible so Cruz isn't doing too great, but luckily Megatron is back.

Damn it Fabbles, if only you had drafted your team... Can't believe autodrafting 4 WR in the first 4 rounds turned out that well.

This could be the most downright pathetic lineup I have ever started in all my years playing fantasy football:

Palmer
Bowe
Titus Young
Donnie Avery, Donald Jones, etc. waiver pickup
Daryl Richardson
Marcel Reece pending waivers, else Vick Ballard
Gronk
Graham/Houston

A most unfortunate combination of injuries and byes. :(

really tempted to start Shorts over Bowe.

Gabbert/Shorts has been a better combo than Cassel/Bowe. or whoever is starting for them now? Campbell?

Houston secondary is also better than Chargers secondary.

sigh.

Alex Green listed as probably for Packers. Gets zero touches.
Larry Fitzgerald catches one pass for 11 yards.

lol

And to top it all off, in one league I had Andre80, VJax AND LaRod Stephens Howling on the bench, whereas Amendola decided to take the week off.

EDIT: New developments - Lost LeSean McCoy and Donnie Avery to injuries this week, to add to my already long list of MJD, Antonio Brown, Ben Roethlisberger, Fred Jackson, Darren Sproles, and Alex Green. Not my year haha

So on a team with Matt Ryan, Julio Jones, Victor Cruz, and Arian Foster, you'd normally think I'd be screwed when those four don't perform well. (Cruz on the bye) However, Jacoby Jones not even through one half, Marcedes Lewis, and New England's defense give me the win in my non-Smogon league. Certainly wasn't expecting that.

So apparently Gronkowski broke his forearm at the end of the game today...
ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME!? I traded Jamaal Charles for this guy and now he's probably out for the season. Goddammit!! Now I gotta try and stream TE going into the playoffs. I'm dissapoint

If I hadn't just lost Gronk for the season I'd feel bad about beating my current oppenent 122-39
And all that was left on my bench was Mendy 4 pts and Jones 3pts.

i am really bad at this.

EDIT: oh and i only lost by 7 points.

Why on earth would you start Jones? He always plays terrible when hampered by injury. And LOL Jennings. I fucking dropped his ass after realizing that significant touches a good running back does not make. I would have gone with Vick Ballard for sure and maybe rolled the dice on Shorts. As for your Ravens defense, well everyone was expecting this to be a low scoring battle of defense game, with ben out and Flacco proving himself mediocre throughout the season. Ravens will always come to work 100% against their biggest rival, even with so many injuries.
