thanks Dion... remembered the thing i forgot though, the nicknaming theme.

All nicknames must revolve around: cat species

1. Raticate called --, must only know fang moves

True auramaster...

1. Raticate, Maine Coon. Can only know default and tooth based moves.
2. Houndoom, Ragdoll. Can't know a fire and dark move at the same time.

@czech8, you get a drifloon. It was abandonned by it's clan in front of the Valley Windworks after it was unable to defeat the right of passage for a Drifloon, defeating a (determined by hidden power type). When it meets you, it is overjoyed and will learn and keep 1 TM that you give to it immediately after it's caught. The other conditions are defined by what hidden power it has. It must keep Hidden Power for the entire game.

Water/Dragon/Ground/Fire: Must learn and keep Payback and solo all other Drifloon/Drifblim with it. The pokemon that it failed to defeat was a Graveler, and must OHKO a graveler with explosion in order to be used in the Elite 4

Rock/Steel/Ice/Grass: Must learn Protect and Toxic, and finally out-stall the pokemon that got it kicked out of it's clan Chansey in order to be used in the Elite 4.

Flying/Electic/Poison/Dark: If its ability is aftermath, than it must learn Swagger and Secret Power. If it has Unburdan, than it must learn double team and shock wave. To prove it's awesomeness against other Drifloon's it must KO 5 Poke's resistant to flying and ghost. It must get revenge against Tentacruel for not letting it be with it's clan by ko'ing 5 Tentacools in a row before KO'ing Tentacruel.

Ghost/Phychic/Bug/Fighting: It must learn Sunny Day and Rain Dance. It must use either of the moves any time the weather changes, not including when it uses a move. It must get revenge on Snover, but killing just one is not enough, so it must solo all of the Snowpoint gym. (Candice and her trainers)

Nickname it outcast.

ObsidianRanger, Take a Crobat, name it Abyssnian. It must be your 3rd backup. It must hold a Cheri Berry to fight, if it loses it mid-battle, you must switch it out without hesitation. You may not SR if this happens.

Have fun.

I am interested in participating in this challenge. I have a pokemon emerald I need to clear through and doing this challenge will make it fun.

EDIT: I cant do trading or egg moves (being an old gen game). I would like to be able to receive most if not all the pokemon before the 5th gym.

This is my first challenge, but dont go too easy on me :)

(I lvled a dratini/dragonair all of HG and it didnt become a dragonite until halfway through kanto with its major attk move being dragon rage)

Not feeling creative atm, so Duelingk, take this Zigzagoon.

Take Thief the Zigzagoon. Its trait is Pickup, and it must use this ability to pickup at least 5 items to participate in Gym Battles. It must always have Thief or Covet and must steal five items with these moves to evolve. Additionally, it must solo one Gym of your choice, except the Leader. Depending on its nature, its other two moves must be one of these:

· +Atk, BoltBeam
· +Def, Toxic+Protect
· +SpA, Shadow Ball+Slash
· +SpD, Rain Dance+Thunder
· +Spe, Dig+Facade

Linoone's fourth move may be one of Cut, Surf and Rock Smash. If it has a neutral nature, it must learn all these three moves. You cannot soft-reset for a good nature.

ObsidianRanger, I'll give you the man, the legend: Pinsir! However, he comes from the past. He can only use moves that he could have learned in the first 2 generations. Name him Dragon Li

Duelingk: Take a Skarmory. It must know Spikes and Roar and attempt to set up 3 sets of spikes and roar out an opponent in every battle it participates in. Name it Sarlac

@Duelingk, take a Shroomish named Shrooms. To evolve, it must prove itself superior to "grass" by KO'ing 100 Grass-type Pokémon (other Shroomish/Breloom don't count). Once it evolves, rename it Little Mac and teach it Focus Punch ASAP (you get the TM from Norman iirc). It must successfully use Focus Punch in every battle it gains EXP in; should it fail to do so, it will be forced to carry the Macho Brace until it lands 3 more Focus Punches. Good luck.

@Obsidian, you get a meowth named "Jaguarundi" (an actual species of cat, instead of just a breed). Catch the first meowth you find, it can only use moves boosted by technician, regardless of if it has technician or not.
Good luck.

@Duelingk, catch a slakoth named "Huh?". This slakoth is so lazy, it may only have 1 attack at a time. But when it evolves into a vigoroth, it decides to stop being lazy and learns 4 new attacks (yes, you must replace all of slakoth's moves, have fun). But then it evolves again, and decides that being lazy is much easier so it goes back to only using the 1 attack it had just before it evolved into a vigoroth. It must evolve at lvls 18 and 36 (the levels it normally evolves at). And it must solo 3 gym leader pokemon and 3 E4 pokemon.
Good luck.

-Edited-

@Czechm8
Haunter
Your Haunter is The Boss of NFE. That's right, he's not even listed as being in the NFE tier on the Smogon competitive page. The Boss realizes this fact and is ready to tear Sinnoh a new one. A hard one. Since Smogon has recognized The Boss' potential he (yes he, must be male)may only use moves in battle if they are listed here: http://www.smogon.com/dp/pokemon/haunter. Additionally, to cement his position as The Boss of NFE he must solo:

RBY Origin:
FOUR POKEMON FROM THIS LIST
Pikachu
Golbat
Kadabra
Magneton
Haunter
Cubone
Lickitung
Rhydon
Scyther
Electabuzz
Magmar
Tangela
Seadra
Chansey

GSC origin: THREE POKEMON FROM THIS LIST
Togetic
Piloswine
Aipom
Yanma
Murkrow
Misdreavus
Sneasel
Gligar
Porygon2

RSE origin: TWO POKEMON FROM THIS LIST
Nosepass
Trapinch
Dusclops
Clamperl

DP origin: AND ONE POKEMON FROM THIS LIST
Cranidos
like a boss.
to sum up: male Haunter named The Boss, may only use competitive Smogon moves, must solo 10 of the listed pokemon without the use of items (I didn't initially state that, I added it just now).

@Obsidian Ranger
Totodile
Name your totodile Osceolot because he (or she, I guess) hates Gainesville. He hates everything about Gainesville and so he must KO every trainer Pokemon you encounter that is either reptilian (use your best judgment) or whose name starts with an A or a G (because man does Osceolot HATE alligators). (name is a combination of Osceola the Seminole Indian and Ocelot the cat.)

@Duelingk
Koffing
So with this new jerk-off Gulpin coming and stealing your poison thunder, huh? In retaliation name your Koffing Lightning and teach him at least 2 electric moves as soon as you have the necessary TMs. To evolve he must learn (and keep) Rain Dance, Thunder, and one other electric move (won't make you waste thunderbolt). Additionally as a Weezing, Lightning must KO at least one gym leader's pokemon and one Elite 4 member's pokemon by using EITHER Destiny Bond or Toxic damage. Lightning may never know Selfdestruct or Explosion.

I'd love to do one of these on my FireRed. I can't trade, so everything needs to be catchable on FR. I'd love if each of my Pokemon had some sort of theme and a nickname to go with it.

@Obsidian, you get a meowth named "Jaguarundi" (an actual species of cat, instead of just a breed). Catch the first meowth you find, it can only use moves boosted by technician, regardless of if it has technician or not.
Good luck.

It must evolve at lvls 18 and 36 (the levels it normally evolves at). And it must solo 3 gym leader pokemon and 3 E4 pokemon.
Good luck.

The only damaging move a slakoth knows before evolving is scratch. You want me to use a Slaking with only scratch? And then solo elite 4 with him? Thats utterly ridiculous...

@TFtD, you get a spearow named "How Can I?". How can a spearow carry a trainer? Who knows, but yours can because it has fly. How can a spearow use moves like thunderbolt and ice punch? Who knows, but yours can because it has mirror move. How can a spearow poison an opponent? Who knows, but yours can because it has toxic. How can a spearow attack a pokemon being sent back? Who knows, but yours can because it has pursuit. You may evolve it whenever and until you get those moves you may use lvl up moves, but you must get that moveset ASAP.
Recap.
-Spearow named "How Can I?".
-Moveset of fly, mirror move, toxic, pursuit ASAP, until you get them you may use any lvl up moves.
Good luck.

EDIT: @duelingk, you could always teach it TMs like Return, and a 40bp STAB move coming off of base 160 attack is not ridiculous.

@Too Funk
Bring a Machoke and name him Frat Boy. Frat Boy is often as Drunk as your screen-name is Funk. As such he must hit on EVERY SINGLE FEMALE TRAINER YOU ENCOUNTER. (Note, NOT solo them, merely participate in battle). The only exception to this rule is old lady trainers (Elders and Channelers) because no matter how drunk you get the wrinkles just get worse. However, he does want some degree of success so he must solo every Beauty and he must KO at least one of Sabrina's pokemon.

My final team.

Shroomish named Shrooms. To evolve, it must prove itself superior to "grass" by KO'ing 100 Grass-type Pokémon (other Shroomish/Breloom don't count). pokemon. Good luck.

Koffing

Final being an Hm slave.

@TFTD, take a Mankey named TimeTravel. This Mankey has been hopping through all 5 generations. After catching TimeTravel, it'll be in 1st gen, where it was invaluable in Pokemon Yellow against Brock. Have it solo Brock with Low Kick. Then, it will jump to the 2nd gen, where it was barely used, so it must be the lowest leveled member at all times. After getting 4 badges, it'll jump to the 3rd gen, where it got the Elemental Punches!!! Teach it 3 Special moves as soon as possible (Sunny Day, Rain Dance, Taunt, and Rest will count).

After getting 6 badges, it jumps to 4th gen. At this point, you realize that Special attacks don't help when his Attack is stronger, so erase all Special moves. All of his moves must be Physical attacking moves. Also, countering Darkrai has given TimeTravel a lot of confidence, so it must battle against the last 2 gym leaders, and all rival battles. Finally, after getting all 8 badges, it warps to 5th gen, where Fighting types dominate. It must be the highest leveled member of your party now.

Have fun!

Interesting, and also, i love Pinsir which helps, never actually trained one though.

1. Raticate, Maine Coon. Can only know default and tooth based moves.
2. Houndoom, Ragdoll. Can't know a fire and dark move at the same time.
3. Pinser, Dragon Li. Can only know moves he could have learnt in the first 2 generations.
4. Meowth, Jaguarundi. Catch the first meowth i find. Can only use moves boosted by technician.
5. Totodile, Osceolot. Must KO every trainer Pokemon the is reptilian, or name starts with 'A' or 'G'
6. Crobat, Abyssnian. Must be my 3rd backup (9th slot). Must always hold a cheri berry and must switch out if it loses it's cheri berry mid battle.

Ok, 6 more to go. Remember, Soul Silver, not too difficult and nicknames relating to cat species/breeds. These are starting to get really interesting :))

I need a challenge for HG. No trading. Medium mode.NN's required
1.)From Dark Ray - @breloom, you get a paras named "Obligatory". This paras must have the move all paras have, spore. But wait, when it evolves it gets tired of being called a worse breloom so it decides to distance itself from breloom by forgetting spore. But now people are just saying it sucks, so to prove them wrong it must solo 5 gym leader/E4 pokemon as a parasect, and atleast 3 have to be pre-national dex.Ilex forest/
2.)From Texas Cloverleaf - Take a Miltank. In can only ever know Normal type moves and must know Substitute. Solo any two of Lance's Dragonites.
3.)From vratix - @breloomofsteel

Reserved
Will be a Krabby
-edit-
Name your krabbyMultiTalnt. He may not evolve until you have 7 badges and may never be the lowest level member of your active team. He may only use a move a move in battle if he has another move of the same type that is the opposite kind of attack (special vs. physical) e.g. Crabhammer and Surf. Additionally he may not use 2 physical moves in a row
4.)From Obsidian Ranger - @Breloom of Steel. Take a Xatu called 'Cloud'. It must keep the move future sight after learning it, and must use future sight, and then finish off each Gym Leader's last Pokemon, ending the battle and resulting in the future sight not actually taking place. If it fails to do this, it can only be used in wild pokemon battles until the you beat the next gym.
Hopefully that makes sense and isn't too difficult.
5.)From Its_A_Random - BreloomOfSteel, start with a Totodile, name it Crikey, it must have all moves of different types. It may evolve into Croconaw whenever, but as a Croconaw, it must solo 3 Gym Leader Main Pokemon to evolve into Feraligatr
6.)

@Breloom: Take "Derp" the Slowpoke. Cannot evolve until it learns either Psychic or Surf. Must solo Will using only that move.

@breloom, you get a paras named "Obligatory". This paras must have the move all paras have, spore. But wait, when it evolves it gets tired of being called a worse breloom so it decides to distance itself from breloom by forgetting spore. But now people are just saying it sucks, so to prove them wrong it must solo 5 gym leader/E4 pokemon as a parasect, and atleast 3 have to be pre-national dex.
Good luck.

EDIT: you catch them in ilex forest, I think you can even catch them before bugsy.

reserved for ObsidianRanger.

EDIT: Take a Murkrow named Black Cat. If it has Insomnia, it must solo Erika. Not too hard, right? Well, if it has Super Luck, it must only use moves that have accuracy below 100.

Is that good enough? Also, a list of moves with below 100 accuracy that Murkrow learns--

By level-up:

none

By TM/HM:

Toxic
Steel Wing
Swagger
Fly

By tutor:

Air Cutter
Icy Wind
Heat Wave

Not including egg moves since obviously you have to catch it.

Ilex Forest.

Take a Miltank. In can only ever know Normal type moves and must know Substitute. Solo any two of Lance's Dragonites.
