Challenge The Scramble Challange

@ Emerald, catch a poochyena and call him Tacklemon. He must keep the moves tackle and sand attack and can only evolve after beating one of any gym leaders pokemon using only these moves. You can get rid of sand attack after it evolves.

Team Ninja Squirtle has now bested Misty! After clearing Mt. Moon, getting to Bill's house, beating on a totally conspicuous Rocket grunt, and catching a Drowzee east of Vermillion, Misty was a breeze. Here's how the team looks:

Leonardo
Calm Wartortle (M)
Lv. 21
~Tackle
~Water Gun
~Bubble
~Bite

Absolutely essential in my defeat of Misty. 5HKO'd Starmie through a Super Potion while losing only four-fifths of its health. MVP.

Michel
Docile Mankey (M)
Lv. 20
~Scratch
~Fury Swipes
~Low Kick
~Karate Chop

2HKO'd Staryu with Karate Chop. Brilliant.

Splinter
Lax Rattata (M)
Lv. 19 Ability: Guts
~Tackle
~Tail Whip
~Quick Attack
~Hyper Fang

Hyper Fang is just awesome. Unfortunately, I won't let him evolve until he learns Super Fang, because once he evolves he can't learn level-up moves. Darn.

Donatello
Gentle Drowzee (M)
Lv. 19
~Pound
~Hypnosis
~Headbutt
~Confusion

A bit tough to train, but not bad at this point.

James
Modest Meowth (M)
Lv. 10
~Scratch
~Growl
~Bite

Caught for Cut. 'Nuff said.

Episode VI: the return of the Paradox

Returning to the Scene....It's:
TheParadoxPolicecopy.gif
Ready to mess with Treadshot again xD

i was away on a trip for about a week, and somehow i forget to bring my DS charger with me (my DS died on the plane trip going to california >_>). so i basically got nowhere in my scramble. but i just passed my first major milestone, Sprocket's near impossible requirements for my precious larvitar, so i guess i'll update.

I just soloed Maylene with Larvitar while it was disobedient, and am now currently trying to find a Skorupi in the great marsh (THESE THINGS ARE IMPOSSIBLE TO CATCH I TELL YOU). out of 10 sightings, 0 have been caught :\

Current Team:
Rocky The Sudowoodo (my starter and my fav poke :P evolved after killing a gastly with lick)
lvl 38 Serious Rock Head
~Rock Slide
~Mimic
~Wood Hammer
~Low Kick

Sprocket the SHINY Pupitar (leveled once so i can have a pupitar. dont really use it much but its a good failsafe, soloed maylene while disobedient)
lvl 42 Careful Shed Skin
~Crunch
~Earthquake
~Rock Slide
~Dragon Dance

Steel Easy the Metang (not as strong as the others, but has a superb moveset)
lvl 36 Quirky Clear Body
~EarthQuake
~Bullet Punch
~Confusion
~Thunder Punch

Flubber the Shellos (i will fill in the info after i get my DS charged...newest member on the team which i caught right before my DS died.)
lvl 2x Idk nature idk ability
~raindance
~mudbomb
~Water Pulse
~Hidden Power

as of right now all i can say is...altaria will be the crux of the team of bulky offenders once i get her. resisting or being immune to all of the other member's weaknessess will be the greatest asset to the team.

Hmm...Treadshot says that you have been grinding slightly too much, Mister Paradox. At Pastoria with 4 pokemon at the high 30's and low 40's? Treadshot does not approve.

Also, the banner sucks. Hate to break it to you, but it does. It's weak to Fighting. :P

Anyways, glad to see Metang is doing alright.

lol i stole the banner (shhhhhhhhhhhhhhh....) and just added my name into it. i cant photoshop for beans >_>

and i had sudowoodo and metang as my only two usable pokes from the very beginning, so thats why they're overleveled. larvitar had to be level 30+ for it to be disobedient (level 50+ if i waited for a Wake solo), so i leveled it to 41 for EQ before i traded it over :/

oh and Gyarados soloes are ridiculously easy with thunderpunch. i'm making Steel Easy solo every single one i see now xD

and on a side note my rival is named A1. it makes me feel good inside when i beat him (except when i lost the starter battle at the beginning of the game...disgraced my family................)

So you started with Sudowoodo/Beldum, and you lost the first battle. What is wrong with you, may i ask? Also, it makes me feel good to have beaten you. :)

However, the in game rival is so useless, you can't possibly lose...Unless i stick 6 Pachirisus into your team. I solo'd him with Double Team Staravia/Staraptor. Next time i play, i'll call him Paradox.

Unfortunately, my Silver versions internal batteries died or something, so I'll be restarting my challenge on an emulator. Heres my team for silver
-Pinser named Minnesota-Must solo Morty's haunter and gastly (but if possible to change the challenge I want to do Haunter and Gengar)
-Stantler named Miltank-must have one hm move at all times
-Espeon named Sunny day-must have one stab attack, one non-stab move by level-up, one non-stab move by TM, and Sand-attack
-Miltank named Stantler-must have stomp at all times
-Totodile named Tony-can only evolve in Mt. Mortar to Croconaw and Mt. Silver to Feraligater
-Mareep-evolves into Flaffy at Level 30, and Ampharos upon soloing two gym leaders in Johto, two in Kanto, and one Elite Four member
Now starting silver

Trainer: Vikingraider
Game: Silver, Scramble
Reason: Addition to team

Take a Mareep. it evolves into Flaffy upon reaching Level 30, and Ampharos upon soloing two gym leaders in Johto, two gym leaders in Kanto, and one Elite Four member.

Woot, just finished off the 4th gym leader in platinum (can't remeber her name lol).
Since my last update (just defeated the grass gym), I've made my way across most of Sinnoh. I took down Team Galactic at their first hideout, made my down Cycling road and through Mt. Corronet. After leaving the cave, I encountered my new Ralts (currently Gardevoir). I meet up with my mom in the contest hall thing, then went to face the 3rd gym. Wasn't too tough with Skipper being a bit over leveled at this point. Healed up, then took down my rival (few miss hacks almost cost me the battle).

Anyways, healed back up and continued on with my quest to Veilstone city. Passed through Solaceon, made it through a random rain storm, and arrived in Veilstone. Saw Dawn and she had her pokedex stolen. I'll worry about it later. *insert grind with ralts/kirlia/gardevoir here* Took down the Veilstone Gym with the combination of Gardevoir OHKOing Meditite and Machoke, and bringing Lucario for the KO made by Skipper. Got the badge, and off to go help find Dawn's pokedex.

Current Team:
394_30_1.png

Quirky Prinplup "Skipper", Lv. 35.
-Pound
-BubbleBeam
-Brine
-Peck

164_30_0.png
Premier.png

Sassy Noctowl, Lv. 21.
-Growl
-Fly!!
-Reflect (I miss hypnosis, but rules are rules)
-Confusion!

282_20_1.png

Quirky Gardevoir, Lv. 30.
-Psychic
-Grass Knot
-Double Team
-Calm Mind

EDIT: Just realized I had to get an east Shellos, while i had caught a west one. Oh well, all it did for me was make me waste a few hours grinding it to a *decent* level. Will have an east one soon so I can continue on my challenge.

I wanna start a Leafgreen challenge. Just no trading.

Thanks ahead of time for your contributions.

Team-

Bellsprout: -only know 1 "powder" move at any time
-Has to evolve into Weepinbell during the Erika battle
-Can only evolve into Victreebel after soloing one of Blaine's pokemon.
thanks to COKTAL for this pokemon

Pikachu: -Can only evolve after fainting due to recoil
-Must learn Double-Edge from move tutor and keep it throughout the game
-Must not have t-wave
thanks to vikingraider for this pokemon

Gyarados: -must have moveset of Flail, DD, EQ, and Subsitute
thanks to Texas Cloverleaf for this pokemon

Bulbasaur: -no powder moves
-must forget leech seed before evolving into Ivysaur
thanks to Sproket for this pokemon

Ponyta: -may only evolve if I fill up Brock's, Misty's, and Koga's categories in the fame checker COMPLETELY
thanks to Paradox 808 for this pokemon

Zubat: -Must be nicknamed Batshit
-It will evolve at level 33
-It must be released after the 8th gym if it does not solo at least 10 gym leader pokemon.
thanks do Detroitlolcat for this pokemon

@jwek2: Take a Bellsprout/Victrebell.
-Can only know 1 "powder" move at any time.
-Can only evolve into Weepinbell after the Erkia battle (must level up and evolve from that battle).
-Can only evolve into Victrebell after soloing one of Blaine's pokemon.

Jwek-take a Pikachu that con only evolve after fainting due to recoil, must have a recoil move at all times after evolution, must not have t-wave

Jwek-double-edge as a move tutor move

General: I have gotten my third gym badge, soloing Whitney with Mareep, due to 4 continous turns of parahax off of T-wave, next time playing will be on tuesday or when I figure out how to reset the time to get Pinsir

jwek2, your starter is Bulbasaur. It can't learn any Powder moves, and must forget Leech Seed before evolving to Ivysaur.

jwek2

take a ponyta. it may only evolve if you completely filled Brock's, Misty's, and Koga's portions of the fame checker (having all 6 tidbits of info about them in each category).

finally something you can use that stupid device for! and before you ask, yes you can find all 18 piece of info before you even step into victory road.

Trainer: Jwek
Game: Leafgreen, Scramble
Reason: Addition

Mr. Jwek:
You will be adding a Zubat to your team. It will be named Batshit. It evolves on level 33. It must be released after Giovanni (gym leader) if it fails to solo at least ten Gym Leader Pokemon.

Good Luck,
Detroitlolcat

Dummy007, you get a Mawile for XD. Nickname it JawBreaker (with that exact capitalization). You must use Mawile's Sing to put to sleep the first Pokémon you catch after purifying Mawile. After you catch said Pokémon, you must replace Sing with any TM move that Mawile can learn.

I know I haven't made an update yet, but I haven't been able to.
In my fight against Flannery, Numa Numa dominated with magnitude, OHKO-ing her second slugma with a magnitude 10! I then drained her Torkoal of some health with Yggdrasil, and then barraged her with the rest of my team, finishing it off with dig.
I Just beat Norman, and am currently training to beat Winowna.

254.png
Yggdrasil Lv. 36
-Absorb
-Hidden Power (electric)
-Pursuit
-Leaf Blade

271.png
Pineapple Lv. 34
-Bullet Seed
-Nature Power
-Surf
-Ice Beam

262.png
Cerberus Lv. 32
-Tackle
-Dig
-Strength
-Hidden Power (ghost)

323.png

Numa Numa Lv. 33
-Take Down
-Rock Slide
-Magnitude
-Overheat

88.png

Kryptonite Lv. 32
-Pound
-Minimize
-Screech
-Sludge

Second Update:
I have now beaten Pryce, soloing him with flaffy, and have 7 badges. Totodile evolved in Mt. mortar, and has 2 hm moves, Stantler is proving somewhat useful thanks to hypnosis, but otherwise is inferior to Miltank, who took an explosion from a Geodude of equal level and survived. Eevee is still being raised for maximum happiness to evolve into Espeon. Pinsir is proving a beast, 1HKOing Morty's 2nd Haunter and Gengar, while setting up on Gastly, completing his requirements, as well as soloing chuck with strength.

Team Ninja Squirtle has now triumphed over Lt. Surge! There aren't too many differences between the team now and the team before, but there is one major difference...

Leonardo
Calm Wartortle (M)
Lv. 32
~Tackle
~Water Gun
~Protect
~Bite

...and this is it. Wartortle is now a level 32. Why? One of his requirements is to solo Lt. Surge as a Wartortle. It took a ton of grinding (about 6 levels worth north of Vermillion), but he finally managed to defeat those pesky Electric-types. Water Gun 2HKO'd Voltorb (who Screeched) and Pikachu (who T-Waved then Super Potioned while I used a Parlyz Heal and then T-Waved me AGAIN). Raichu was dispatched in 3 hits, but I had to get through 3 Double Teams and paralysis to do it. MVP (obviously).

Michel
Docile Mankey (M)
Lv. 22
~Scratch
~Fury Swipes
~Low Kick
~Karate Chop

No major changes here.

Splinter
Lax Rattata (M)
Lv. 21
~Tackle
~Focus Energy
~Quick Attack
~Hyper Fang

Once again, won't evolve him until he learns Super Fang (dumb requirement).

Donatello
Gentle Drowzee (M)
Lv. 21
~Poison Gas
~Hypnosis
~Headbutt
~Confusion

I can't wait until I get to drop Poison Gas for Toxic.

James
Modest Meowth (M)
Lv. 11
~Scratch
~Growl
~Bite
~Cut

My current HM master. He leveled up once when a Magnemite haxed ALL FOUR of my other Pokemon to death.

Future Plans:

Growlithe- Catch one at Level 18, level it up once and drop Ember for Odor Sleuth, then Fire Stone (Level 19 Arcanine FTW).

Chansey- I expect to spend at least 2 hours trying to catch this thing. Thank goodness it only has one easy requirement.

I actually specifically said Prinplup had to be the one to use it in my challenge. I suppose I did not word it in such a way that you could not halt evolution but I did say that it had to be in second stage to meet the requirements, so the spirit of the challenge feels sad. You made the spirit sad, good fucking job.

Sorry, I've been gone a while.

I didn't intend to make the spirit of the challenge sad, after all, it's not exactly easy getting a Piplup to lv 39 in the first lace, it'll probobly become dead weight beyond lv 25. I'm taking a different route, instead of fighting Volkner, and struggling there, I'm going to be struggling to level up a lv 30+ Piplup instead. I'd say if I stick THAT out, I kinda deserve the loophole.

Anyway, I've not been playing Platinum recently, because I got PMD Sky, and was playing that. But, I'm going back to my scramble now.

Only to find out that my save file has CORRUPTED. Ugh.

I'm gonna need a new scramble team, because doing the same one twice fails.

Rules:
1: See the Opening Post
2: No Unevolveable Kricketots. Combee's there, and he's BETTER... wait, the OP's now got Kricketot...
3: No vulgar nicknames
4: At least one pokemon, not counting the starter, must be obtainable pre-Roark
5: At least two pokemon, not counting the starter, must be obtainable pre-Gardina
6: The whole team must be obtainable pre-Volkner
7: The starter must be used, but may have whatever evil you decide to place upon it.
8: No pokemon from other games. Pokemon must be obtainable within Platinum. Tradeing can be used for Evolution, however.
