@MiniTank: Catch a Technician Scyther (Routes 210 and 215, acc. to Bulbapedia). To make it difficult, no Scizor under any circumstances, and its moveset must be U-Turn, Agility, False Swipe and another non-damaging move of your choice. The non-damaging move can be replaced by Bug Buzz, Baton Pass (usable in battle) or any other move with higher than 60 Base Power (not for use in battle, you can teach it HM's).

Oh, and name it Lorak. haha

Yea, its just that i have a horrible memory >,< sorry peoplez

Obsidian Ranger: Take a Skarmory (you can find it after Blackthorn City, heading down south towards New Bark Town). Name it Go-Getters if it's female (from that episode of Mystery Dungeon...) or Chasm if it's male, and it must have Steel Wing but not Spikes. The other two moves must be TM'd (no HM's either).
Doing my own nicknames since its partly a Nuzlocke challenge.

1. Ampharos - Fire Punch+Thunder Punch
2. Onix - Caught+Evolve after soloing Bugsy at level <13
3. Tentacool - Can evolve after using constrict in two gym battles+Constrict
4. Magnemite - Evolve before Chuck+Evolve again after Misty (343Guilty possibly)
5. Exeggutor - SolarBeam+Sunny Day
6. Slowbro/Slowking - 1 physical
7. Diglett - Safari Zone+Arena Trap+Earthquake+Evolve after 32 spc.attk evs.
8. Venomoth - Signal Beam+3 non-directly damaging moves

10. Skarmory - Steel Wing+No spikes+2 tms
11.
12.

Edit: Man i fail at quoting O_o

My team (Emerald):
~Capture the first psychic-type you see. It must always know 2 STAB moves and never be the weakest pokemon in your party.

~Get a Skitty and name it Nemo (Frank's cat), don't evolve it until you beat the flying gym. It must know Growl at all times and has to be a female.

~Get a Makuhita, cannot evolve till Flannery, cannot learn Belly Drum and/or Bulk Up.Yay, time to use my old Double Team Focus Puncher set.

~Use a Nincada, if you keep Ninjask it must keep Sand Attack, if Shedinja the only STAB attack it can keep is Leech Life.

~Take a Nosepass. It must have learned Shock Wave, Thunderbolt, and Thunder at least one time each (you don't need to keep all of them) by the time you take on the eighth Gym, and must retain at least one of these moves. It must also solo that Gym.

One more to go.

@minitank: Get an Abomasnow at the top of Mount Coronet, do not evolve it from Snover. It must keep Ice Shard and Wood Hammer because they are awesome. It cannot learn any other STAB attacks. Name it "ReadyMade".

i don't get the last part i can use hm's but not in battle?

Basically what it means is that if you choose the non-damaging move/Bug Buzz/Baton Pass, you can use it in battle.

If you choose to give it a move aside from those above, it must have more than 60 base power, and it cannot be used in battle. This is to make sure Technician is useless. Since it cannot be used in battle anyways, teaching it anything other than field moves/HM's would be kinda pointless.

Also, good luck getting Bug Buzz/Baton Pass, both egg moves, but the option is there if you want it.

@Obsidianranger: Get an Eevee, it may only evolve into the Eeveelution that matches its hidden power (electric, fire, water, dark, psychic, ice and grass) if its HP has no corresponding evolution then it must stay as an Eevee forever.

Just two more, guys.

@spookymuffin, use a piplup that must know surf, waterfall, steel wing and ice beam by the elite 4 or you must put it in a box for the E4 challenge, it can evolve

@spookymuffin
KING linus

spookymuffin:

Since you said you could use any Pokémon, use a male Glameow nicknamed Tyson. It can only evolve into Purugly if it uses all 4 of its moves during the double battle against Mars and Jupiter at least once, and doesn't faint by the end of the battle. If it does faint during the battle, or it doesn't use all 4 of its moves at least once during the battle, it's a Glameow forever.

@spooky

get a scyther named "Bugsy". it must learn the move U-TURN as soon as you can get it, and must always know wing attack. it may not evolve until learning the move Feint.

spookymuffin: Take a Pikachu, must catch as a Pikachu in the Trophy Garden. It's a Pikachu forever if it held Light Ball, which it must keep. If it didn't hold LB (you can't trade it over) it must be a Raichu by the e4 (the Thunder Stone to be used can't be traded either). It must always keep an Electric attack (but can never learn Discharge), Hidden Power (unless it's a horrible type like Poison), and Grass Knot. If HP type is good, it must use it for SE on one of Cynthia's Pokes (e.g. Ice on Garchomp); if HP type is bad, it must know a Fighting attack. You cannot catch multiple Pikachu for either LB or HP type -- it has to be the first one you catch, and you can't Frisk for LB.

1. Ampharos - Fire Punch+Thunder Punch
2. Onix - Caught+Evolve after soloing Bugsy at level <13
3. Tentacool - Can evolve after using constrict in two gym battles+Constrict
4. Magnemite - Evolve before Chuck+Evolve again after Misty (343Guilty possibly)
5. Exeggutor - SolarBeam+Sunny Day
6. Slowbro/Slowking - 1 physical
7. Diglett - Safari Zone+Arena Trap+Earthquake+Evolve after 32 spc.attk evs.
8. Venomoth - Signal Beam+3 non-directly damaging moves
9. (reserved for Pika25)
10. Skarmory - Steel Wing+No spikes+2 tms
11. Eevee - Evolve to corresponding HP. If none, then it stays a eevee
12.

Two more, but one needs to be from Pika

Spookymuffin: Take a Bagon, named Gible. When it becomes Shelgon, you should rename it Gabite, and at Salamence it should be called Garchomp. It cannot learn any fire type moves, and Roost if also off limits. Also, it must evolve to Shelgon asap, before Byron preferably, and then remain a Shelgon forever, unless you manage to solo one of Candice's pokemons. If it does become a Salamence, it must know Fly.

Have Fun. :)

Hey guys, I'm new here and really only signed up for this thread. I do go on Shoddy a lot, so I have looked around at what the site offers too, don't worry.

Anyway, I am going to start a Scramble on both Fire Red and Emerald. Me and a friend are already doing one on Heart Gold and it is a blast. I cannot trade though, and I would like balanced teams. Thanks in advance.

Fire Red
-Arbok nicknamed King (if it's male), or Queen (if it's female). Every time you find a TM that it can learn, regardless of what move it is, it has to learn it in place of its least recent move learned. You don't have to start doing this until it's an Arbok, though. While it's an Ekans, it can know whatever moves it wants, but once it evolves, it learns every TM it's compatible with.
-After getting the super rod fish up a poliwhirl. you may only catch ONE (not multiple for a good nature). if it has the ability waterabsorb evolve it into poliwrath immediately.
if it has the ability damp then you must trade it for the jynx in cerulean. the jynx cannot learn any normal typed moves (all normal moves it already knows must be deleted ASAP)
-Fire starter from me, both nicknamed Flare. They both must use Ember at least once on the rock gym leader's Geodude to evolve to their second stage. Charmeleon cannot evolve further until it solos Erika
-Lapras, only TM or HM moves
-
-

Emerald
-Fire starter from me, both nicknamed Flare. They both must use Ember at least once on the rock gym leader's Geodude to evolve to their second stage. Combusken cannot evolve further until you beat the Rival on Route 119.
-catch the first pokemon you can find in the desert. it must always keep the strongest move it has upon capture, and must gain the level to evolve in the desert as well.
-take a Ludicolo with no nickname. However, you must catch it as a Lombre on Route 114. You can't just catch a Lotad on Route 102. You can't evolve it until it learns Uproar, and you can't use it against the Champion.
-Spinda, no restrictions
-Belly Drum Linoone, as close to the RSE analysis set on Smogon w/out extreme speed
-

Two more each for me guys.

@Texas Cloverleaf
My bad, it was a Fruedian Slip. I actually meant to say Bronzor and not Beldum. I was simply not paying full attention to what I was doing.

@min min
I already gave you one. And reposted it with a sarcastic comment last page.

@Dexington
in Emerald bring a Spinda named Barry. No restrictions.
in FireRed Bring the Lapras the Silph Employee gives you. Name it Nessy you must delete any and all level up moves ASAP and it can not learn any more.

Ok, I'm updating you guys.

I've just beaten bugsy with little problems after nearly losing against falkner.
Gasosa the Gastly hasn't been useful at all because she can only use lick and night shade right now. Folhinhas the Chikorita has been the MVP so far while Quagsire (forgot to name her) has helped a lot too.

Team:

Folhinhas (Chikorita) - Lv. 17
Gasosa (Gastly) - Lv. 18
Quagsire - Lv. 21

Now training Gasosa so that it can solo Whitney to evolve.

Obsidian Ranger:
If I can't give you the starter, how about the Togepi that you hatch from the Mystery Egg. It needs to keep Extrasensory and Metronome at all times, but it can't use Metronome until you fight Red.

And no Togekiss.

EDIT: If not Togepi, take a Pineco that cannot learn Self Destruct or Explosion. If it faints, even from its own recoil, you've lost it forever.

Now training Gasosa so that it can solo Whitney to evolve.

Wow. I didn't realise how limited Gastly's movepool really was... Does it have anything other than ghost moves? If it doesn't have access to anything that can damage Normals, then go to Goldenrod Dept. Store for TM goodness.

@Cayr: Take a Ralts, must be caught out east of Petalburg city (i think that's also where Wally gets his...). It must know wish, and may only know one damaging move at any time. Name it SAF7.

Update on my Diamond challenge: Beat Eterna gym easily (CaptFalcon is a real awesome pokemon to have), no issues at all. Also smashed Jupiter in Eterna Galactic Building, killed her reasonably easily (a lot easier than Mars, November was about to be ko'd by any attack, but she kept using status, so i got a lucky 5HKO). So far Lorak, CaptFalcon and November are all hanging around the 20 mark, and a Lv. 13 Bidoof HM Slave (thank goodness for the Exp. Share!). Off to Hearthome city!

ralts cant learn wish.....

@cayr choose a fossil in the mirage tower and resurrect it. this pokemon must be the second strongest pokemon in your party by the time you get to the weather institute (second strongest = second highest level). if it is not the second strongest pokemon in your party at any time after that then it may not use STAB moves for the remainder of the challenge. to evolve, it has to learn a grass/bug STAB move that does damage (for lileep and anorith respectively)

@Vratix: So sorry, didn't see it on my phone.

Starting Emerald Run:

~Get a Vulpix named Comet. It must always know Will o' Wisp and confuse Ray. You may only evolve it if does not know Flamethrower.
~Capture the first psychic-type you see. It must always know 2 STAB moves and never be the weakest pokemon in your party.
~Get a Skitty and name it Nemo (Frank's cat), don't evolve it until you beat the flying gym. It must know Growl at all times and has to be a female.
~Get a Makuhita, cannot evolve till Flannery, cannot learn Belly Drum and/or Bulk Up. (Yay, time to use my old Double Team Focus Puncher set.)
~Get a Nincada that keeps Sand Attack if I keep Ninjask; and Leech Life as the only STAB move if I keep Shedinja.
~Get a Nosepass that must learn Thunder Wave, Thunderbolt and Thunder at least once in its life and must solo Juan. Those moves can be deleted.

@Dexington: Belly Drum Linoone! Try to get as close as possible to the RSE set on Smogon, w/o Extremespeed of course.

ralts cant learn wish.....

My bad then. I faced a Gardevoir on Wifi, and after the battle (when i OHKO'd it) my opponent replied that his Gardevoir was a Wishpasser. Gardevoir gets it at level 17 according to Bulbapedia.

I never said it had to have Wish as a Ralts, just that it had to have Wish. So it's perfectly fine he uses Ralts without Wish (since it's impossible to get one with it), but at the first chance he should teach it (which would probably involve relearning it once it becomes Gardevoir).

That's also the reason why there aren't any evolution restrictions, so that it can learn Wish asap, at around Lv. 30.

I guess i just kinda assumed that it went without saying that it would have to become Gardevoir before learning Wish. Ah well. Guess i need to be more specific.
