Challenge The Scramble Challange

Not open for further replies.
Accepted Dark Ray's Challenge, Maxie's wasn't variable, & Reservations count for nothing in this Scramble. And with that, I have my 6 Pokemon. Thank you all, a recap of the 6 in the Hide Tag.
  • Red Gyarados [Easy]: Must know & keep Dragon Dance (Texas Cloverleaf)
  • Ho-Oh (DscoNferno) [Creative]: Must have a move from the following categories:
Turn Up the Heat- Sunny Day / Sacred Fire / Overheat / basically any Fire move
Super Fly- Fly / Brave Bird
Get His Swagg On- Swagger / Punishment / Hyper Beam
Chill- Recover / Rest / Roost
Must solo 2 Kanto Gym Leaders, whenever a Pokemon uses a move with Dance in its name, it must come in & kill it, & it must solo Red's Pikachu (Dummy007)
  • Sunkern (Troll) [Hard]: RNG a number between 1-20. This is how many GLP Troll must solo before evolution (+1 E4 Member if number is less than 10, or 2 if number is less then 5). Can only be healed through the use of Pokemon Centres, max three per town when Troll is in the party, Must be done on first try, otherwise, may never evolve until I solo Blue. Only STAB move is Seed Bomb (Galladiator)
  • Sudowoodo [Creative]: Must win the 5 Pokeathlon events with Sudowoodo, then buy an item & use it on it. I must then teach it a TM/MT move starting with the same letter as the used Item. After each badge, I must participate it in a Pokeathlon Challenge (ObsidianRanger)
  • Kangaskhan [Payback]: If Scrappy as ability, Must know Normal & Fighting type moves & cannot be used against Morty. If Early Bird as Ability, Must solo Morty, & when it learns a new move, it must replace the oldest move it knows. Either way, it must solo an E4 Member of my choice on the first try, failure to do so means it must give up a move slot permanently (Skwog)
  • Nidoran M/F (Very Able/NoReserves) [Variable]: If it has poison point it can't have any poison type moves and must solo either Koga or Janine, if it has rivalry it must appear against all gym leaders of the same gender unless it conflicts with another challenge and solo 1 GL of the same gender.
If it's male you must teach it swagger, if it's female you must teach it attract.
Now it gets a move based on nature, +att=physical attack, +spa=special, +def/spdef=growl/leer depending on gender, +speed=substitute and neutral=whatever you want.
Next you get a move based on which of the following GLs you choose to solo, if you solo whitney you get headbutt, if you solo chuck you get focus punch, if you solo pryce you get blizzard/ice beam and if you solo clair you get whatever you want. If you solo more than 1 of these GLs you can choose which move you want (eg. solo whitney and get headbutt, then solo pryce and replace headbutt with blizzard).
Now roll a die, this is for your last move, if you roll a 1 you get any level up move, 2= any HM move, 3= any TM move, 4=any special attack, 5=any physical attack and 6=any move under 61bp.
Now the last thing for you to do is flip a coin, if heads name this pokemon "Very Able", if tails name it "NoReserves" (Dark Ray)
I'll start this once I complete my current Heart Gold Scramble, which I've decided to not finish at Red, but finish after the second run through the E4. Thank you all, looking forward to starting this 1k Scramble. :)

@Plusle, take a Lillipup named Terrier. It cannot evolve unless it knows 4 moves of a different type. After evolving to Stoutland, it cannot learn any new moves.

Plusle, take a Pidove. It must solo three Gym Leader Main Pokémon (ex. Burgh's Leavanny, Clay's Excadrill, Elesa's Zebstrika, etc.), and may only use offensive moves of three different types of your choice. However, it can use any status moves you want.

@Plusle, you get the useless electric rodent of the 5th gen, emolga.
Step 1. Catch an emolga, you may not use the one from the in-game trade.
Step 2. Name it "WEEEEEEEE!".
Step 3. Have it solo a gym leader, doesn't really matter which one.
Step 4. Solo an E4 member, again, it doesnt matter which one.
Step 5. The final step, solo one of the pokemon belonging to one of the trainers you face right after the E4.
Good luck.

Reminder for everyone who hasn't already voted to vote for the page 300 awards.

@Plusle: Take a Litwick named TagYoureIt. It dreamt that it had the ability Shadow Tag, so, to make its dream come true, it may not evolve again if an opposing Pokemon switches out while Litwick is in battle. If either of the opponent's types is super-effective against Litwick and you have another Pokemon that resists either of those types, you must immediately switch to that Pokemon so Litwick can support its team. (If you switch out Litwick and the opponent switches on the same turn, you can still evolve Litwick.) It must solo 25 Pokemon faster than it to evolve into Lampent and 50 more to evolve into Chandelure. (Remeber, it can't evolve if its Shadow Tag is broken.)

Plusle, take a Golurk, nicknamed Gigantor. This Golurk is inspired by all of the great anime robos and mechas of the past. Therefore, it must have a moveset of Fly, Flash Cannon, Earthquake and any punch move. It must also solo the Opelucid City gym (Dragons), as the super robos always defeated opposing monsters, and 1 E4 member. Good luck.

@plusle:
you get portmann the ducklett!this ducklett thinks that it is the best dancer in the world so must learn and keep featherdance and rain dance...

Even though personally I dislike it, you're gunna have to grind somewhere.

Congratz to all the people who won awards... if you had asked, Dark Ray, you could have gotten me to draw some sort of trophies or something, as the competent artist I am.

Hmm...won Meanest Scrambler, I'll tone the difficulty down a step or two, missed Most Creative Scrambler but didn't expect to win either, was surprised that that evil Pidgey wasn't the toughest challenge, and cool that my whismur won.

Been a good 300 pages, here's to another 300 more!

I think I might take a Pokemon Black Scramble soon when Spring Break starts since I'm not going anywhere. I won't forget about it this time, promise. Only forgot about the last one because of tons of schoolwork, but that will not be a factor over Spring Break.

Question: do Black Scrambles end at Ghestis or Alder?

^It's up to you. I would say Alder imo.^

Anyways, It's good to walk away from this awards with Best Scrambler. Congratulations to Dark Ray for winning the SPL 2.

Also, It has been ages, but I have updated my Sapphire Payback Scramble up to the 4th badge. Basically, I catch a new member, while the two that was already in are showing off why they are powerhouses. Please do read.

And an analysis of my upcoming Random Scramble on HG, Ho-Oh & Gyarados look like they will be duking it out for MVP honours, I have a reasonably balanced team with a FWG core, Sunkern will probably be LVP, & I'll probably trade over a Kangaskhan egg at the beginning of the game to use as a starter, & will be my lone Pokemon until at least Goldenrod. Interestingly enough, three of my Scramblemons are encountered by interacting with them, for the record...

Eh, spoilers! Put them away!! Just joking, I don't care that much.

Anyways, been planning my writing so once I do that I will do some work on my Mankey solo which I probably need to finish by Sunday... I could try completing it tonight (it's 6:45pm in my timezone), that could be fun.. votes anyone?

Thank you. Just waiting for my game to arrive now.

Yeah, I suppose this is a given, but my XD Scramble is also on hold for a little while. I want to beat Black. Which shouldn't take long though, I've just beaten Skyla. However, I do have schoolwork to catch up on too, since I've been sick for the last four days.

Yeah, my Scramble progress will be slow as of Thursday as I get Pokemon Black, looking forward to playing that. Anyways, I've updated my Heart Gold Scramble. On that Scramble I'm all set up & ready to take on the E4 for the first time. Good Luck me. I will get the E4 done before I go to Unova, guaranteed.

I'm glad enough people voted to make the Scramble Awards worthwhile. (I'm also glad that I won Most Creative and my GDS, which was posted ~100 pages ago, still held its own against...the dying...Whismur...*sobs*)

I messed up my last try at this, so I'm going to start over.

Black Scramble Challange

Scramble ends after beating
Elite Four II, Cynthia, and Morimoto.
All pokemon must be nicknamed.
No more than 3 pokemon may be weak to any one type.
I can trade for evolution purposes only.
Any challenges that conflict with each other will have the earlier challenge done only. I will point out conflicts and you may change the challenge.
No forced grinding.
No NFE.
I don't use HM Slaves, so my team must be able to use Cut, Fly, Surf, Waterfall, and Strength.
I've used these before so I'm not allowing these or their evolutions: Tepig, Oshawott, Sigilyph, Drilbur, Tirtouga, Zoroa, Throh, Scraggy, Pidove, Minccino, Klink, and Venepede. This means that my starter will be Snivy.
I reserve the right to reject any challenge.
Challenges should be enjoyable and not tedious. Creativity is encouraged.
No "Must use [MOVE] every time."

Reserving dave's Snivy. I'll edit in the challenge when I get home (on my phone atm).

EDIT: "Smugleaf" the Snivy (you knew I had to make that joke) thinks it's Arceus' gift to the world. As such, its final moveset must include at least two of Swagger (to show off how cool it thinks it is), Protect (since someone as cool as Smugleaf has to be able to protect themselves), Calm Mind (so it can focus itself entirely on being cool), and Slam (to deal with those less cool than itself). Also, it thinks it's too cool for STAB, so it can't learn or use any STAB moves. To prove his coolness, he refuses to evolve until after soloing Lenora. After it evolves, it suddenly realizes how stupid it's been all this time, so it replaces one of the above moves with Return to show you its gratitude. When it solos Drayden, it evolves into Serperior, and it can finally learn Leaf Storm. It still keeps the remaining two moves, though, to remind itself of how much it's learned since being with you.

Recap:
-"Smugleaf" the Snivy
-must learn and keep forever at least two of Swagger, Protect, Calm Mind, and Slam
-may not learn/use STAB
-solo Lenora to evolve once
-replace one of its final moves with Return ASAP
-solo Drayden to evolve again
-teach Leaf Storm ASAP, keeping the same two moves as above

HotDave, take an Archen, name it Weak-Kneed. This Pokemon is so angry when he is Weak Kneed, that he will refuse to do anything but attack when his health falls below half-health (i.e. When his health falls below 50%, he may only use attacking moves & nothing else). Solo 5 Gym Leader Pokemon to evolve.

Have fun.

@HotDave: Take a (male) Ferroseed named Music Man. It must know one move from each of the following categories by your first fight with the E4 and it may never forget any of them:

Bluegrass- Ingrain / Energy Ball / SolarBeam
Metal- Gyro Ball / Iron Head / Mirror Shot / Flash Cannon / Iron Defense
Rap- Swagger / Payback / Flash
Rock- Curse / Selfdestruct / Explosion / Rock Polish

It must solo Skyla to evolve into Ferrothorn. It must also solo 4 Elite Four Pokemon.

Hotdave, take a Scraggy and name it AbsNPants. He's so pimp that and confident of itself that he may never switch out if his health is orange or red (the healthbar). He must have the ability Moxie, and if it's ability activates, it may never switch out in that fight. Due to it's past, he's cleptomanic and as such, likes to use thief on every gym leader pokémon. After he has his hairstyle redone, he's ready to go and must KO atleast 1 pokemon of each E4 and N., however because he got insecure due to it's hairstyle he must use Cheer up (work up) as soon as it's out against a gym leader/E4 member/N

Short:
-Cannot switch out if it's healthbar is either orange or red.
-Must have the ability Moxie and cannot switch out if it's ability has activated.
-Must learn Thief ASAP and keep it until after your victory over N.
-After it has evolved, it must KO atleast one pokémon of every E4 member and N.
-He must use Cheer Up if it's up against a Gym leader/E4 member or N.

Pick everything if you want a slightly harder challenge, take out the bold parts for an easier run.
