ive got a 5-a-side football game tommorow and its gonna be quality. been training for it, losing a few pounds since xmas.

in other news it looks like we (united) are going down to become selling club, dropping into the mid-table section of the league. selling our training complex, our best players and perhaps old trafford itself? yeah, the times ahead dont look good.

Well I not even afraid of losing good players(I'm sure Glazer won't let another key player leave after Ronaldo), but I'm fearing what will happen if Sir Alex Ferguson will retire. He won't stay forever, so who will replace him? What will happen to the team? What will happen if we don't find a reasonable coach. Champions League or the English Premier League title are the only things that keep Mancheter United(or Glazers funds) running. What will happen if none of those will be won? I agree that hard times are coming, but the circumstances will be much harder to overcome then just losing players

wasnt mourinho looking to return to the premier league at some point, he would be an ideal replacement, its all blown out of proportion, there are other things, they thinking of selling bonds to reduce the interest payments to 5%, selling carrington, and of course extending the south stand, for more capacitiy (making it bigger then wembley) which would bring more matchday revenue.
and united DO have a great youth system, we only sign a few players every window. and picking up owen on a free? and if joe cole's contract is up at chelsea in a few months, could be another very good free pickup possibilty.

With the debt we're in, I dont think for one minute that we'll look to keep our best players when the payments are due. If we need a quick fix, bye bye, [insert player's name here]. From what has been published in the papers and what I have heard from United fans (from work, forums, et cetera), its going to be a bumpy road ahead.

Glazer is crazy, but not stupid. I don't think he wants to risk missing a place for the Champions League. If he sells another key player, then there is a chance that we'll fall back and miss the millionairs fare of football

good win today 3-0 against burnley... shame sunderland played appauling and got battered 7-2
liverpool drew with stoke
city lost, and were outplayed, by everton, robinho showing that 32 million pounds doesnt buy you world class, getting subbed on, doing hardly anything, then subbed off again 51 minutes later
leeds lost :D
tottenham drew with hull. after hulls keeper decided to save everything

I don't think that Maxi Rodriguez is the kind of player that will turn the tables in Liverpool. Only now people see that Xabi Alonso was a key player on the side of Liverpool. The invisible and underestimated motor of the Liverpool midfield and therefore the whole team. Now Gerrard(if he plays) has to do all the work he and Xabi Alonso did when they played together. Liverpool have to search for that kind of player, not a Maxi Rodriguez.

there is also a rumour gerrard might leave

I'm pretty sure this isn't true, I mean Gerrard has spent his whole career at Anfield.

Expect Birmingham to finish ahead of Liverpool :pirate:

Birningham is actually a pretty good team and by that I don't mean the players. All their players are pretty average except for Benitez ''Chucho''.

I kinda agree with this. Xabi Alonso had great vision, he made sure that the formation never loses it's shape. He's a great passer and tackler. Gerrard is the main player on the team but when he doesn't play well, there was Alonso to make up for that. I don't know something like Essien might work, I don't know :pirate:

Edit: I don't know if I'm wrong to think like this but I'm kinda happy that Man. United's situation isn't good either haha.

Well a few years ago he did wanted to go to Chelsea and almost sent in a transfer request, but he made up his mind last minute and signed a new contract ;)

more rediculous refreeing, belemy is FOULED outside the box.. player lets go before he enters the box, belemy falls over and gets a penalty. discraseful

You forgot to say that United was the one to deserve the win. City never should have won, but again the referee was terrible. I hope that someone in the FA takes resposibilities and finds some real refs, because this one was absolutely a) bribed or b) refering for the homeside

i agree, united were better, practially battered them none stop for the last 10 minutes.
1. not a penalty, never was
2. belemy was not booked for a single foul, he should have been.
3. that wasn't a corner either.

We were lucky that this is just the Carling Cup, not the League. If it was, then this could be the points/match that can make or break United. But since it's the Carling Cup and there are a home and an away match for that, we can still win in the City of Mancheter Stadium

we have lost points to referes in the league already, stamford bridge for example.
that was at city of manchester.
lucky? nah blue wannabes need to go away. that did not deserve to win and nor should they have won.

In the AD(Algemeen Dagblad, Dutch newspaper) they have announced that Manchester United has a debt of 800 million euro's

Ok, why is money more important to the Glazers? They already have a NFL clubs and it's like they're need the money? The existence of one of the worlds greatest clubs just is a joke to them
