So lets run my commentary on the game I seen (basing after 60th Minute)

Chelsea dominated Utd. 2 Shots of the woodwork and nearly twice the amount of goals on target.

Utd. holding off well, Rooney completly held out of the game, Essien doing an amazing job holding off Ronaldo. Giggs should've scored that, but I assume a misjudgement of the ball cost him, aswell as terrific terry defending.

Extra time, both played well what the fuck was Drogba thinking, Vidic was about to go Zidane on his ass. Cramp, everyone's go cramp

Penalties, Nice easy slots, Van De Sar with two close ones, Cech saved Ronaldo's. Terry fell over, and reminded every single person why the English cannot win at penalties. Van De Sar also with a nice psych out on Anelka, and look at Terry weep...

Also Taylor, I am a big fan of Giggs, yes he no longer has the ability that he used to have, however I would still class him as a good premiership player, he's aged well, and he's took alot of that onboard seeing how he's lost his place, he still plays a very smart game of football. I think Giggs is a dying race in considering loyalty for clubs and one of the best welsh players that have been.

Scholes - He was always going to get picked because he deserved the '99 Medal, Keane's just got to turn Sunderland into a European driving force as he also deserves his medal. They should've subbed on baby face I don't care if he is retired he'd still would've scored an injury time winner

MANNNNNNNNN UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU! Great finish.
Terry's penalty was a fucking classic.

I think Ronaldo's was better.

That shit only works on guys like Robinson, not good keepers like Cech, son.

I wanted Chelsea to win, because they are slightly less gay than Man Utd, but oh well.

Pretty bad final. Should have been Arsenal there ;/

OMG!! one of the most epic finals i have ever watched, disapointed that Chelsea did not win though thought they should have (im an arsenal fan though) . Every part of the match was tense. Penalty shoot-out nearly gave me a heart attack.

Congrats to Man U

"most epic final" you've ever watched? How long have you been watching Football?

Even though Liverpool are scum i can say 05 impossible is nothing was 2000x more epic. Did you watch the 06 World Cup final? I can't be bothered listing any more.

Fucking hell how did chelsea not win

I am assuming you didn't watch the whole match as Tevez and Giggs had absolute sitters and it could and should have been 3-1.

That's not including the fact the only reason they scored was after two deflections and VDS slipping.

cant agree with you more Arsenal all the way, glad Ronaldo missed the penalty and nearly shit himself as chelsea took there penaltys

Congrats to Man U

Yeah Liverpool against AC Milan was probably the best final in the champions league that I've ever watched.

Bayern-ManU was much more epic xD
ManU should have lost, just because of Ronaldo's penalty...
Anyways congratz =)

Only reason Chelsea didn't win was because Terry slipped.

:P

Ferdinand getting cramp after 67 minutes was almost as funny as Ronaldo missing a penelty after trying to be a flash git.

This game had everything.

Goals, fights, cards (red and yellow), penalties and a crap load of emotions.

I had a tear in my eye as they were on the pitch with all the gold ribbons shooting out on them.

Flash git eh, like he was against Arsenal?

It didn't have Fabregas.

(Arsenal should have been in the final!!!)

Flash git eh, like he was against Arsenal?

Only the Portuguese Pony would try and fake out the keeper, do it wrong, then punt it into his arms.

Flash git eh, like he was against Arsenal?

Nah, that's just Nani who tries to be flash against us, and promptly gets kicked about by Hoyte and Gallas for being a twat. (Yes I know Nani tore us apart =/)

I cheered when Cole/Nani clashed heads. Great moment.

Bristol City for the Premiership 2008/2009!

Nah I still would've prefrerred a Utd. Vs. Scouse final, they are the two most dominating UK Clubs in Europe, Liverpool is still the best English team in Europe.

Gooners should just go back to france where they belong ;)

No, just no.

Anyways Man U - Chelsea would have been better than Liverpool/Arsenal vs Man U, I believe. They are the best 2 English clubs.

are you an idiot?

Arsenal play the most attractive football, the football that is most entertaining to watch, in the premiership.

Arsenal were fucked out of wins in both ties against Liverpool by bad refs, we would have destroyed Chelsea (don't we always??) and Manu would have been put to the sword today.

Yes decisions went agaisnt you in both legs, and had they gone your way you would have maybe progressed, but honestly over the 180 minutes the play was very equal so you can't just state that Arsenal should have been in the final.
Anyways I think Man U would have trashed you tonight if you did get to the final, and Chelsea are the only team that can match Man U's strength in depth and consistently push them all the way. (Yes I realise they were playing Essien at RB, but you know what I mean.)

did anyone else think that Chelsea were often hard done by, by the ref. There was an instance when Ronaldo completely flopped the shot and hit it wide only to be rewarded with a corner. Often chelsea were denied corners.

Great match!, probably not of the quality expected but it was a match of guts and strength, i really enjoyed it, congratulations to Manchester United.

Yes Keeret, i think some ref decisions were in favor of Man U. but nothing that would ruin the final like a penalty or something, i think the ref was ok.

Fark, Drogba that retard, he just had to do the flick. For that he was sent off which I honestly have to agree, but IF he wasn't red carded with 3 mins to go before the penalty shootouts he would've taken over Terry's spot for the kick. Well if it hadn't rained, yet it did then Terry would've scored the penalty. And if Drogba hadn't been idiotic he would've taken that penalty and scored.

Overall though, ManU played a more solid game than Chelsea which can be easily seen through the difference in % of the ball possession. I guess we did alright seeing as it's out first CL final, but we no longer play in a well structured manner like how we did with Mourinho. =(

Put to the sword by Arsenal? Or have you forgotten the 4-0, the 2-1 and the lucky 2-2 draw in the last minute.

The only thing that would have been better would be to beat Liverpool in the final

Have to show this

Great game, really pleased that Giggs scored the decisive penalty. It's only fitting that they won as Man U have been playing the best football in Europe this season, as much as it hurts me to say it.
