Italy - Spain: I have a strong feeling Italy will win this, even though Spain have played far better, and have a better squad it's Spain, this is the typical situation where they make mistakes and go out. If Spain win I'll back them for the whole tournament.

Croatia - Turkey: Croatia seem to have all the advantages, especially considering the Turk's no.1 keeper is suspended. But after watching Turkey's amazing comeback against the Czech's, I can't see them throwing all of that effort away in the very next match.

They should be the most interesting games, as I doubt that the Germany - Portugal game will live up to expectations.
 
Wow what a great game from Russia, they deserve it, it is so far (90+) a 2-0 but it could been 4-0 or something!. Unfortunate for them they will face Holland which i doubt they can beat, still if they play again like this it will be a good game.

Predictions!
Portugal 2 - 0 Germany
Croatia 2 - 1 Turkey
Holland 2 - 1 Russia
Spain 0 - 1 Italy

But of course, i don't believe on automatic wins, both Turkey and Russia could be a nice surprise they won't be easy.Spain has everything to win, but i fear Italy on knock out rounds.

Wold cup; yesterday Uruguay beat 6-0 Peru o_O, and today Brazil face Argentina at home. There is a shit load of games from AFC and CONCACAF on sunday too.

Spain - Italy
as much as I LOVE fabregas the rest of the spanish team WILL not perform. italy WILL win 1-0, guaranteed. gattuso not playing will be a factor, but italy will still win

I agree expect Germany, I still think that Portugal is better. They only lost 2-0 cause of they bench players playing.

That... was not normal. Blagh there's a lot of things going on that cause that and the actual football aspect makes up no more than 10% of it. I think there's going to be a huge replanning, we lost 4-0 to Mexico and 5-1 to Ecuador recently too.

Yeah, but the Mexico defeat was a friendly match i didn't thought it was that grave (more when Mexico has a provisional coach until Sven Goran Eriksson takes charge), and a half assembled almost improvised team that was destroyed some days before by Argentina.

Why Farfan hasn't been on the team?.

Anyway, Brazil 0-0 Argentina. Disappointing.
Bolivia 4-2 Paraguay, Paraguay is still the leader, but that was a shocking defeat against Bolivia that had just 1 point out of 15.
 
My predictions:

Portugal - Germany: 2-1. Germany lacks a good midfield, they rely too much in long balls. Portugal will dominate there.

Croatia - Turkey: 1-0. No more Turkish miracles, Croatia will win easily with an early goal.

Holland - Russia: 2-0. Russia plays great, and can put Holland in danger with counterattacks, but despite that, they will not score.

Spain - Italy: 1-2. Spain dominates, scores first, then Italy draws on the middle of the second half, Spain goes down mentally, and then Italy score again in the extra time. We gotta preserve our dearest traditions and go home on quarterfinals, you know.

Farfan and three other of our important players were caught partying in the concentration after the game with Brazil and before the game with Ecuador (which we lost 5-1...) and have been suspended for at least a year, which kind of broke the group because our Europe-based players are pissed off at the directives, who managed all of this really poorly.

Anyway I predict Portugal, Croatia, Netherlands and Italy

I would love nothing more than to see Ronaldo go to Real Madrid and have a severe drop in form or have his head broken by Marquez.

And this Portugal Germany game has been great. Greasy hair everywhere.

The game statistics, from ball possession to shots on goal all benefit us, in fact I think all the statistics were in our favor, yet we lost, just like the scenario of 2006.

Honestly I was neutral in this game and would've come up with bullshit to taunt the loser either way.

Cheers to Germany for getting through, and for both teams for an entertaining game. And actually I'm kinda gutted Portugal were knocked out, they'd been playing so well and were good to watch.

Ronaldo.

Nani was an immense player and influenced the second goal. The new Ronaldo, but with a better attitude.
 
That was an entertaining game to watch. Schweinsteiger's goal and the build-up to it was quite a spectacle in particular.
