I personally think that Ronaldo is better than Messi. I've watched both a lot, and Messi is still at the stage Ronaldo was when he was younger, a lot more easy on the eyes. But I feel that all of Ronaldo's attributes (other than perhaps staying down and his constant bitching, though Messi has been guilty of that sometimes too) better Messi's. This is one argument that'll never be resolved as so many fans have a different opinion on who is better. The fact is, they're definitely the two best attacking players in the world and stand out far ahead of everyone else.
Anyway, Man Utd has the advantage in the Premier League title race now, even if Arsenal have 'easier' games for the most part. Even if Chelsea win their game in hand, they're a point behind Man Utd and might need to win at Old Trafford to keep their hopes up. They've also got to play Aston Villa, Tottenham, and Liverpool.
The penalty wasn't 'bullshit'. The laws of the game on the FA's website state that:
If a defender starts holding an attacker outside the penalty area and continues
holding him inside the penalty area, the referee must award a penalty kick.
So, I think that's far from bullshit. If Mascherano had learned anything from the mistakes Vidic made against Liverpool in the last games, he wouldn't have given the referee a decision to make. You can make someone have a hard time getting a shot away without holding them, even if Valencia is much quicker than perhaps the entire Liverpool team. Oh, and Ji-Sung Park's goal was just sublime. 14-15 passes to keep it away from Liverpool, Rooney's movement to take out Carragher, Nani's position to attract Johnson, Neville's run to open up Insua, Fletcher's peach of a cross and Park's header. Magic.
Liverpool finishing fourth is looking less likely, hopefully Spurs, Villa, and City (yes.. City lol) don't choke as the teams trying to get there usually do.
