Email said:Due to issues, loopholes and other complications, the following significant changes are made to the rules. These are in effect the moment Night Three starts. Any pacts currently in effect will stay, however, new pacts have to abide to these simplifications:
- Conditions may only concern the targeting of Night roles (for example, "thunda will kill Mekkah", "Earthworm will not inspect jumpluff or moot", "nobody on Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will protect The Skyscraper Haters", etc) or voting behavior ("Hipmonlee will vote Brain", "none of Jackal's team will vote AvatarST", etc).
- "(BAN ME PLEASE) is voting for DONKEY" in a pact means that at the moment deadline ends, (BAN ME PLEASE)'s vote has to count for DONKEY. This is (BAN ME PLEASE)'s responsibility.
- Unless specified otherwise, the time frame for a pact is the current night/day, and no longer the entire game
- The only possible punishments will be a godkill or a godsilence (default godsilence is for the next day, if you want another time frame, specifiy)
This is to make the rest of the game less complicated for both the hosts and the players. If this turns out too restrictive and there's a lot of demand for more complication again, we may be able to go change again. Remember, the game is still in experimental stages.
For now I agree, but maybe it should be changed to "Conditions should only concern... If both parties involved in a pact wish to use any other type of condition, they should get the hosts' opinion on it first. In any case, these special conditions aren't guaranteed to work and may make the whole pact fail if the hosts deem it necessary". Anyway this isn't what has caused the most problems so far imo...Conditions may only concern the targeting of Night roles (for example, "thunda will kill Mekkah", "Earthworm will not inspect jumpluff or moot", "nobody on Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will protect The Skyscraper Haters", etc) or voting behavior ("Hipmonlee will vote Brain", "none of Jackal's team will vote AvatarST", etc).
Of course, I agree 100% with this, it should never have been otherwise. Lucky bastard."(BAN ME PLEASE) is voting for DONKEY" in a pact means that at the moment deadline ends, (BAN ME PLEASE)'s vote has to count for DONKEY. This is (BAN ME PLEASE)'s responsibility.
Ok but it's a bit too late I guess, now I don't think any error of this kind will be made anymore.Unless specified otherwise, the time frame for a pact is the current night/day, and no longer the entire game.
Same as for conditions. I'd say let the players the choice, but only guarantee the success of the pact if one of these is used. The only possible punishments will be a godkill or a godsilence (default godsilence is for the next day, if you want another time frame, specifiy).
