Unpopular opinions

Also I understand Head Smash not being 100% accurate. I mean your literally charging at the opponent with massive power so you probably don't look where your going constantly. Although imo it should be like 90%/95% accurate because 80% just seems to much.

Double-Edge, Volt Tackle, Flare Blitz, Brave Bird, Wood Hammer, Wild Charge, and Head Charge all have 100% Accuracy. The consequence of using these attacks is the massive recoil you receive, Head Smash doing moreso because of its higher power (also you receive half the damage you done, the only non-signature recoil move to do that). You're already massively punished for using Head Smash so why make it more punishing with decreased Accuracy?

The only recoil moves that should have any decreases Accuracy is Jump Kick & High Jump Kick but that's due to their mechanic.

I guess I was just trying to say why it probably has lower accuracy in terms of real world logic (silly me for using real world logic in Pokemon)

Your Pokemon experience would very much improve once you chuck real world logic out the window.

To be fair, what you probably thought is probably what they thought. "Well since the Pokemon is rushing towards you with their head they probably wouldn't see where they're going". However the problem with this is that it doesn't really balance out right and also we have another move like that which has 100% Accuracy, Head Charge.

It's not that your wrong in the logic, it's that sometimes logic doesn't meld right with gameplay. Do you want to make things more realistic with the risk of making certain mechanics (such as Moves and Abilities) ineffective or do you look the other way to make the game more enjoyable to play even though logically it doesn't match up.

Yeah I can see where you are coming from (the logic was the only way I could really justify not 100% accuracy). After all a lot of stuff in the Pokemon World makes no real world sense but we kinda just ignore that and move on with the game ("lone kid taking on the mafia and winning" kind of stuff). I mean it'd be nice if stuff make real world sense but you are right, it just wouldn't fit with balance and makes it less enjoyable. I also forgot Head Charge completely existed lol

Not to make my own threads sound amazing or advertise them or whatever, but I do have a thread on OI discussing explanations behind moves...

Well that's because they changed it from its much better Japanese name: Afro Break. Translation team, WHY did you change that name? Or at the very least didn't make it Afro Charge. Like "Head Charge" sounds like a move any Pokemon which uses its head to attack can learn. But "Afro Break"? Yeah, only one Pokemon has the 'do which fits that bill.

Because unless it's memes from 3 years ago we have to be completely serious and deadpan.

Because Game Freak has to be very careful when dealing with black people.
They were forced to change stuff TWICE because of racial complaints.

Black people were the only ones who pulled the race card over Pokemon issues.
And they pulled it TWICE.

Twice? Jynx would be the first time, so I'm guessing Lenora was the second?

Anyway I think they could have gotten away with using the word "afro". While strongly associated with African Americans it was also a hairstyle donned by white people, especially during the 1960s and 70s dance/music crazes. In Pokemon we have a popular white character with an afro who should totally have a Bouffalant if he ever appeared again:

That music is so good!!! We need more Miror. B!

Ya, Lenora was the second one.
They were forced to edit the Anime-- they had to remove her apron.

Alright here's some of my own:
  • I actually... very much enjoyed Sinnoh; it's mountain/snow routes were my favourite things and the slow pacing of the story didn't bother me at all, in fact, I liked it
  • I miss backtracking routes, as of ORAS you can now just skip to the previous destination instead of walking all your way back like you had to back in R/S/E. I know it's optional, but I feel as if having the option itself removes some of the immersion into the game from me.
  • Unova had some pretty damn cool pokemon designs and I like the Icecone pokemon ( Can't remember its name for the life of me right now, it's Vanisomething ), it is a pretty funny design imo.

Unova just put too much on it's plate, they had to introduce 156 Pokémon (the most ever) so they couldn't take the time to get each one just right. That's why the gen 6 Pokémon are almost all so damn cool.
I agree that Unova Pokemon were the ugliest bunch, and that we didn't need that many.

Unova had a lot of stinkers but I think that it also had a lot of winners in terms of design. The problem is that they decided to reinvent the wheel completely which is why we had Pokemon like Woobat and Roggenrola when other generations would have just had Zubat and Geodude.

Imo the snow routes were annoying. I mean sure, they might be like, decent to look at but then you realise how long it is, and imo it's far to long. It also doesn't help that at many points there's snow which slows you down and it's very annoying. I don't really have an issue with the mountain routes there like the mountain/cave routes from other gens. With the backtracking routes, I can see why they gave you the option. Not many people want to spend 10 minutes to get from A to B when it could be done in 1. There is a point where immersion turns into annoyance. Your probably thinking of the Vanillite Line, and I like them to :)

Gen 5 did have some "meh" designs tbh but none of them were bad tbh. I mean they are better than most of the Gen 1 designs Muk is best design 10/10 so much detail and creativity and I really like a lot of Gen 5 designs but I agree Gen 6 definitely had some great designs, but I still don't like some of them (I don't really like Helioisk's design for example)

Mabye not that many but imo Gen 1 has the worst and laziest designs imo (looking at Muk again)

Talking about gen 5 designs, how on earth people dislike chandelure, seriously this guy is pretty much a western version of the japanese paper lamp yokai. It has a creepy yet endearing look and he is a beast both ingame and competitive.

People claim that they just put a face on it, but duuuude this thing has do much soul and genius in its design I find it impossible to dislike him.

It's the first time I've read that, somewhere on this planet, someone dislikes Chandelure.

There was quite some people who dislike Chandelure because they think it's "yet another inanimate object".

I love Chandelure even before I knew it has an SA of 140. I just thought its design is really cool.
Chandelure is a popular mon in merchandise, a noticed a lot of illustrators use it as a gothic pattern.

Chandelure is indeed awesome.

Most people think one of the main series games are the best but I disagree, thus giving me this unpopular opinion. I think the best game in the franchise is Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky, a side game. A big factor for me is the story. I feel like Sky has a greater emphasis on story than main series games and other side games (last played Pokemon Ranger a long time ago so I can't comment on that). Sky certainly has it's moments, such as when you're pulled into an apocalyptic, depressing future of the planet's paralysis, when it's revealed Dusknoir is actually a villain, when you technically die at the end of the main game, that has a strong impact as well as your watching your partner emotionally collapse after your death or watching the baby Manaphy get dragged into the sea away from the only two Pokemon it knows and regards as parent like figures without understanding why? The list could go on, really. I also like the game play of Sky as well. I like the way moves are adapted into a dungeon crawler and enjoy them having range. The game is also quite long. Almost all of the characters have interesting or quirky personalities and I enjoy the dialogue in this game more than any other. The music was also spectacular, only being beaten by a few other tracks in the main series.

I know that was brief but I've never been good at writing longer posts.
