Welcome to Gen 8 tiering! As you may have seen in the announcement yesterday, we're going with a new cutoff at 4.52% for tier shifts going forward. Full stats for all the other formats will be up later today when everything is done processing.

One month of a new generation is not a great sample, statistically speaking, but Ditto having significantly higher usage than Magearna/Ash Gren/Heatran/etc. did is pretty indicative of the state of the metagame.

Also, I think this is the first month in almost 3 years that Lando-T hasn't been #1 in usage by a lot. Only way to end its reign.
 
Gengar, Crawdaunt and Diggersby are gonna be crazy in UU. There's a lot of other good stuff like Durant and Reuniclus but these 3 seem like a quickban to me.

It survived, overtaking greninja in oras, whilst holding on against faces such as Pheromosa and Toxapex, only to be removed.

A sad end for the leader of the genie trio.

It is curious that there are less options to play but Aegislash drops to OU... And Seismitoad has become a very good option even without using rain teams... Big changes have come and I like it.

Other than Gengar and Kommo-o not making the cut-off, nothing really surprises me usage-wise. UU's looking pretty interesting, although stuff like Diggersby and Kommo-o are probably quickbanworthy. Might be worth giving it a try, perhaps.

There's also things like Haxorus in UU. The power level is pretty insane in general.
 
Probably worth noting that the reason Dracovish isn’t higher is because Fishious Rend’s properties of doubling in power on the switch and being boosted by Strong Jaw weren’t discovered / properly implemented immediately. I’m sure its usage spiked significantly in the latter part of the usage period.

Surprised Rotom-H did. Guess I shouldn't be but I'm just used to Rotom-H being inferior.

There is no difference except a couple of moves. The only relevant one being Shift Gear afaik, and it probably won't run that anyway.

Shift Gear + Throat Spray is currently one of its best sets as a sweeper. I don't know what you mean lol.

The movepool differences don’t matter because of nature mints. You can have an amped Toxtricity and use a mint to make it modest, but it’ll stay amped and still have amped’s moves. Competitive-wise they’re the exact same Pokemon.
 
Toxtricity Low Key should actually be tiered with Toxtricity Amped, since the only meaningful difference between the two is a single move. This was an oversight, and I've gone ahead and combined them in the OP. I'm also re-running the stats now and will replace the files in smogon.com/stats/2019-11 in a few days when it's done.
