Terrakion @ Choice Band
Ability: Justified
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Close Combat
- Stone Edge
- Earthquake
- Quick Attack

Muk makes a cool pairing with banded terrakion, as it threatens to turn traditional answers to banded terrakion into not being able to do their job if they get their items knocked and/or poisoned. This means that pokemon such as gligar and slowbro cannot risk being used to swap into muk, enabling muk to put in far more effort against the enemy team in turn. This enables terrakion to put in a lot more work against stall and balance teams. Being poisoned also means that alomamola gets 2hkoed by stone edge too, so you don't have to worry about rocky helmet or prediciton as much.

While mega slowbro still only gets 3hkoed when poisoned, the loss of regenerator makes up for this, forcing it to always waste turns staying healthy with slack off. While rest variants of both slowbros can clear the poison, normal slowbro will be 3hkoed after, and mega will still waste turns.

Muk is also in turn able to pursuit trap common revenge killers of banded terrakion such as latias and gengar, and ghost types that would make you second guess clicking close combat such as chandelure/gengar, when facing more offensive teams, and greatly threaten (and slowly chip away with pursuit if needed to) one of terrakions most common answers in doublade, putting it in range of earthquake.

252 Atk Choice Band Terrakion Stone Edge vs. 252 HP / 156+ Def Gligar: 184-217 (55 - 64.9%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252 Atk Choice Band Terrakion Stone Edge vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Slowbro: 165-195 (41.8 - 49.4%) -- 84.8% chance to 2HKO after poison damage
252 Atk Choice Band Terrakion Stone Edge vs. 40 HP / 252+ Def Alomomola: 204-240 (42.4 - 49.8%) -- 91.4% chance to 2HKO after poison damage

Infernape @ Fightinium Z/Life Orb
Ability: Blaze
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Nasty Plot
- Fire Blast
- Focus Blast
- Vacuum Wave
Infernape + Pursuit is a combo of infamy. Great Infernape checks like Chandelure, Latias, Starmie, and Gengar can all fall to a well played Muk, paving the way for it's Infernape teammate. Meanwhile, Infernape can put the pressure on some of the steels that annoy Muk, like Aggron or Steelix-Mega and Scizor. Vaccum Wave can even let it revenge mons like Terrakion and Cobalion that Muk can sometimes regret letting in, as Infernape has a strong vaccum wave that could KO them with chip.

Sylveon @ Leftovers
Ability: Pixilate
EVs: 252 HP / 240 Def / 16 SpA
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Heal Bell
- Hyper Voice
- Protect
- Wish

Sylveon makes a fantastic partner for aggron, able to serve as a cleric to remove burns from it and heal it up with wish support.

Thanks to pixilate boosted hyper voices, coupled with 16 SpA Modest allowing for 2hkos after a calm mind, it is able to offer more assistance vs latias than florges, as well as passing bigger wishes than florges in order to help keep aggron healthy.

Hydreigon @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Earth Power
- Draco Meteor
- U-turn
- Dark Pulse

Hydreigon is able to create a unique yet strong synergy with Mega Aggron. Hydreigon is such a strong non rn because of its speed, coverage and power. It is a highly used scarcer that fills in gaps in teams and fulfills a great role as a scarfer.

Aggron hates being hit by ground types, while Hydreigon does not like ice, dragons, and especially fairies. The two are able to compensate for each other’s weaknesses and at the same time being able to take on some of the biggest threats in the meta currently, those being named Latias, Scizor and Mega Altaria. Hydreigon is known for its ability to gain momentum for a team, making it easy to get in the Aggron vs Mega Altaria, and getting rocks or killing it. I went Fire Punch > Eq on Aggron and Earth power > Fire Blast on Hydreigon because Sd Roost Scizor can 1v1 against non Fire Punch aggron and +2 with rocks will probably beat this core:
(8 Atk Aggron-Mega Earthquake vs. 252 HP / 48 Def Scizor: 92-109 (26.7 - 31.6%) -- guaranteed 4HKO)
+2 204+ Atk Iron Plate Technician Scizor Bullet Punch vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Hydreigon: 273-322 (84 - 99%) -- 75% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock.

Therefore I switched up the movepools to be able to deal with scizor much more effectively. Lati is a big threat to the tier that can’t do much to this duo. Aggron is a great check to Mlati and Hydreigon can check non scarf lati.

Alomomola @ Leftovers
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 40 HP / 252 Def / 216 SpD
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Wish
- Protect
- Scald / Knock Off
- Toxic

Alomomola is one of the premier MAggron partners on stall builds due to the defensive type synergy between Water and Steel, as well as Alomomola providing very fat wishes for Aggron to be healed by. Alomomola can threaten the tier's Fire and Ground types, as well as most Fighting types, with Scald, and everything else that isn't a steel type, with Toxic. Knock Off is also an option to remove items, possibly scouting a Z Move that Aggron can pivot into, such as Scizor's Buginium Z. Overall, it's a very solid Stall core that is quite efficient at what it's supposed to do.

Aggron @ Aggronite

Careful Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Heavy Slam
- Fire Punch
- Toxic

Nihilego @ Black Sludge
Ability: Beast Boost
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Toxic Spikes
- Protect
- Power Gem
- Sludge Wave
nihilego takes on some of mega aggron more common answers such as rotom-h and moltres and on stall/balance/BO work together well despite the common ground weakness. fire punch on aggron lets it remove scizor for nihi too.

Starmie

183025

Starmie @ Life Orb / Waterium Z
Ability: Analytic
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Hydro Pump
- Ice Beam
- Thunderbolt
- Rapid Spin

Aggron and Starmie make a nice Rocker/Remover core for BOs and Balances alike. At a basic level, Starmie’s higher Speed allow ito check threats that force Mega Aggron out, like Infernape, Terrakion and Coballion if Waterium. In the meantime, Aggron’s massive bulk lets it contend with foes Starmie hates, such as those pesky Grasses who don’t mind an Ice Beam (like the tier’s new durian, Ferroseed) and Mega Aero and Alt if healthy. The two provide a solid backbone for dealing with the three S-ranks (Both are Steel resists and Starmie outspeeds Latias and unboosted Altaria). Finally, the lack of Defog means that Starmie can better abuse hazard chip + Analytic boosts to bevome nigh uncounterable.
