Well, I just got my new computer, so you can expect more of that from me. +)
Currently working on a re-design of my Atomic Wasp/Lightning Bug from awhile back. For a glimpse of what the original looked like...

Well mr.suitman's gorilla is actually taking the last atmoic slot. If you are going to rework some of your past sprites it needs to be either your juvenile metal armadillo or juvenile earth bull.
OK, didn't realize we still had that thing. Sounds good though. +)
As for the Metal Armadillo revamp, sorry I forgot to reply to your earlier post, but I had originally thought that you were just asking for me to smooth out its scales and didn't realize you wanted it reposed, thus the small edit I did. I'll get to work on the repose next though, so that should be something to look forward to. +)
Edit: I wrote this edit using my brand new tablet! f*** Yeah! What this really means is that I can now sketch Directly from my laptop, which is awesome. Still getting it to learn my handwriting, but yeah. THIS IS THE GOLDEN AGE RIGHT HERE PEOPLE!Wow. This guy took WAY to long to finish.
This is pretty much the final product right here. One of the first two will be the final color, but I'll leave that up for you guys to decide which one is better, since I can't. The last one is just a bonus recolor because I wanted to see what he would look like with golden spikes.
Anyways, if you guys have any suggestions on how to make it better, please tell me. This guy is supposed to be an epic, and if there's a possibility to make it more epic, I'd like to know, so that I can make it better.Wow. This guy took WAY to long to finish.

Wow!!! It sure turned out Epic! There are some minor issues but we will take care of them during QC. Don't worry about the color scheme too much because the palette is subject to change on every sprite. Thanks dude!

So I am back! Lets get this stuff done! We have till the end of the summer to get all Battle and Overworld sprites completed otherwise I really might be fired!!! :S

Right cool. By the way, and no offense, the lack of activity is typical for projects like these, where it's entirely volunteer and there is a lack of monetary reward. I'm not complaining, but people tend to become disinterested when there's no "reason" to continue, aka a wage. But hey, I still think we can finish by the end of the summer. ;D
Ha ha ha! I understand that perfectly, lol. My supervisor is the one who did not. I get that you guys are kids working in your free time after school or something and are just doing this for fun. I know that some of you, like Doran for instance, might actually be considering a career in this sort of thing and that this could be a great resume/portfolio piece or something but that beyond that its mostly just fun and for bragging rights. I get that. My supervisor was hounding me because of slow progress and didn't understand how it works here. Anyway, just wanted to clear that up.

1.) I just don't see this being a big improvement on the current concept and I dont want you to waste your time on it.
2.) I was actually going to PM you and ask if you wouldn't mind heading up the Overworld sprites part of the project? You are one of the few people who have actually made these sprites and they were AWESOME. It is difficult to make something good with such few pixels and you clearly have the skill necessary to do it. The Overworld Encyclopedia is on the front page and I will look the dimensions back up for you. Interested?
Hey Everyone! I know you guys are all super busy these days so I had an idea that might help you be able to still contribute!
I know making a sprite is tough work and all the details and such that go into it and that that takes alot of time. I was thinking though that since our creatures are all going to be visible in the overworld that we are going to need to make overworld sprites for all of them! This is something that I was just going to do but I figured some of you might actually be able to find time to make some of these tiny little guys.
We would need 3 views: FRONT - BACK - SIDE
Adult: 32x32
Juvenile: 20x20
I have whipped up a couple of mock ups awhile ago when I was working on the overworld but we have changed tile size since then so they are a bit small now. Instead of confusing you with those I will just link you to this:
I mean basically it is the same concept and I would rather you strive for this quality than the ones I whipped up really quick, lol.

I'm afraid that is just not quite armadillo-y enough to be the juvenile Metal armadillo. It also looks like it may even be a splice of aXl's original adult, though that may just be because it looks similar in the face and back. Currently it just looks too much like a little manatee or something. Thanks for the attempt though!i didn't splice any of it, but i see your point. I will attempt something else.

EDIT: As with anything the rest of you are welcome to work on these as well! If you don't have enough time to do a full sprite or new concept you can probably still hash out a few overworld mini sprites!
