I have. ^^ I don't steal concepts. If I make a sprite that i didn't came up with, I always ask permission to sprite it. ;)

Yeah I talked to Taicho a while ago about it and he granted us access to all of his unselected CAP concepts.

Well I see no harm in you using the ideas themselves, but if you are asking me to create more or work on spriting myself I haven't the time. I work 40+ hours a week and I've already got an art by request thread in Smeargle's Studio. I'm booked.

A couple things (It looks great):

> I think he could use some fangs and a more furrowed brow so he looks more ferocious

> I think he would look better if his ears were visible

> I think the mane should over-flow a bit over that front shoulder... the defined line looks a bit odd.

Other than those minor issues it looks great!

It's like a phoenix that is mixed with fire instead of having fire all over it's body, I know it's a pretty bad idea. :/

EDIT: Can I reserve the Heron?

I don't think it is a bad idea actually. I am going to accept it. Want to do the baby version of it for me too?

Yes you can work on the Heron if you would like!
 


Vital... for the baby phoenix I am kind of thinking of something along the lines of like a charred featherless looking baby bird in a pile of smoldering ash.... since legend has it that phoenixes burst into flames and are reborn from their own ashes. I think it could be cool. if you dont think you can/want to do it then let me know and I will pass it off.
 
Sure Doran, go for it, and since I suck at fire and looking at your Moltres you're awesome at it could you revamp that too if you want to.

I HAVE EDITED THE CONCEPT LIST (8th Post)AND EACH TYPE NOW HAS 9 VIABLE OPTIONS. IF YOU HAVE A SUGGESTION FOR AN ALTERNATE ANIMAL CONCEPT IN A TYPE OR WOULD LIKE TO CREATE SOMETHING THAT DOES NOT APPEAR ON THE LIST THEN WE WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU.

Ha ha ha ha. Right you are. We have already discussed this internally and that is not the title of the game but actually the name of the planet that the game is based on. We have just yet to come up with a suitable title so thats what our working title has been. No worries!

Jeremy,

I see a similar problem with all of these that we discussed on the basilisk. They are all overly complex for a small 100x100 pixel sprite. There is no real way to properly distinguish all the little parts in such a small space. With the earth beetle it is difficult to tell what is even going on in the sketch...

Its not quite what I was thinking... it looks kind of like a baby chicken, lol. Which is not bad, its just not what I was thinking. I will open it up to the others, thanks for trying!

First off I need to make sure if this is COMPLETELY scratched? I found your album and most of what was in there was not so I just want to be sure.

With that said, It looks good! I think that for a slug it could use a bit more girth, especially because those things on the sides of its head make it look like dratini currently.

Feel free to start on an adult version if you want!
