Me again, made a baby Shadow Vulture, it's a little small, and.... fat?

Sorry about the size, hope it's acceptable.I'll base the adult of the Ak Baba from the Deltora series. (don't know, ask Doran Dragon lol)

BTW: How about could the "lobster" be an Atomic Roach? (sorry about the mispell)

I'm not very handy with spriting, but what if I did some random concepts with the old pencil/paper and someone wanted to sprite them up? Would that be acceptable?

OKay, sounds good to me. I wasn't sure about whether or not to make it have transparency or not, honestly. Should be an easy fix. As for the wings, they are actually Ears, lol. The lips were just something I threw on to make it look more childlike, so that can also be fixed. As for the eyes, I put them there to have a bit more of an evolutionary difference. I was planning to have it so that the Adult would lose the eyes as it grew older, originally needing the eyes to help it see until its other senses were well sharpened. I'll see what it looks like sans eyes though.

Btw, don't worry about offending me. I value criticisms, whether or not they are pleasant. +)

EDIT: @Albinoloon- I can try for your backsprites. I feel that I can do good things with them. +)

Yeah! That looks better! Fits more with the adult. I understand where you wanted to go with it but we really want to steer away from the pokemon method of having two forms really make no sense together (i.e. charmander to charizard or magikarp to gyrados). Our creatures more just grow up and mature as opposed to evolving.

It looks good! Baby forms can be a little small (see Doran's atomic deer for instance, lol) So don't worry! I look forward to the adult!

I was actually thinking along the same lines with the atomic roach. I think with a few changes we can make that work!

Absolutely! A couple of our guys like spriting but have begun running out of ideas of their own. So feel free!

Probably the biggest sprite I've made as it's 94x99 pixels, I'm worried that I've overdone the shadowy stuff and the shading- hope you like it! :D

No, I agree with you Doran. Everything besides the 'shadowy' stuff looks really flat and besides that the pose seems kind of awkward. Like Doran said, the body extends so long (to what I am assuming is supposed to be tail feathers) that it almost looks serpentine like. I will post a reference image for a pose that I think might better suit this creature.

I started on the vulture body, (not really) and it just changed into a flat phionex, I didn't really like the traditional vulture, so I altered it to my own little creative wreck, this further proves that I'm just losing my touch, especially the shading, it's awful... I'll try harder.. I'm sorry... :( But thanks for the constructive cricticizm, both of you.

Also, be sure it is facing the same direction as everything else. Every other sprite we have created so far faces left. Even the direction the eye is pointed can change facing, such as in my Amethyst Gallade, so it can be easy to convert a sprite to the right facing even when it is finished. Keep that in mind whilst you're spriting.

It looks much better dude! There are some issues but I will take care of them in QC (just so you know though, for future reference, the outline is pretty dark and should fade in and out between black and a dark hue of the adjacent sprite color (especially around the beak). It gives it a more realistic look.) Thanks!

Ok.. first off. You apologized for being apologetic. Just pointing out the irony there, lol.

The snake is... in need of some adjustments. I think it would be really cool if you could make the snake kind of a mix between a coral snake and a rattler... so like the coloration/pattern of a coral snake with the body/build of a rattler with the triangular head and rattle. Except instead of the red/yellow/black of the coral snake I would say to use like yellow/white/blue or something. the spikes on the head do not really work for me... rattlers kind of have little tags/spike-ish things under their chins so you could shrink em and move it there if you wanted.

Alot of these look great! I really like the cats with the bulbs on their tails that I think would be great bases for the electric cheetahs! the penguin and the rabbit look awesome too! I would love to see some of these sprited ASAP! lol

About the snake...I like your ideas, but I'm not sure if I can pull it off, I often mess up the shading with jagged parts, but I'll try. I'm not sure I agree with you in the coral snake pattern-it's a little bland, personally, I like the coloring, but I'm not sure what pattern to give it, but I just don't see how that pattern will fit the coloration, just a personal thought. I'm NOT sorry about the old snake. lol

Yeah sorry dude. Initially we were going to use them but then as the end of the summer draws near (which was optimistically our deadline for creature creation) we realized how empty the encyclopedia was of just front sprites and how impractical it was to expect to ever finish while expecting still double the work. Thanks for all the hard work! If you had already made some others you can feel free to send them over if you want, I wouldn't mind seeing them.
