I've touched up the Wasp a bit, tell me if it's better.

I decided to do a concept for the Red Panda line. I´m not sure, if the coloring is okay and the design as a whole. Sorry btw. It got way too big...

I like it, but I kinda think it looks more like a dog than a red panda. Just me. :p

I like it! I think the concept and the poses and physiology are great!

I agree that it maybe doesn't look a lot like a red panda but that it not a huge deal. The only think I would say is that I think maybe you went a little overboard with the lightning bolt markings. I love how he has lightning around him (it looks awesome) but I think that having every marking on him (like around the eyes for example) being a that shape makes it look a bit cheesy. It also kind of makes it hard to tell what is going on in some places because his body parts (ears tail) are jagged and then all his markings on his fur are so it can get confusing.

If it is at all helpful this image was the original inspiration for the electric red panda concept. I almost got this girl to let us just use her creature but that didn't end up working out. I am not saying you should do anything with this but maybe you would find it helpful.

But really I love it and cant wait to see the sprites!

finished the (doesnt look very)Electric Wasp :D

Man.... Doran you truly have a gift, lol. This is a beautiful sprite! You are right though it does not look super electric... What if you did something like on this red panda I posted earlier (below) and make like the stripes on its abdomen glow like on this guys tail and maybe have sparks around him?

Or just something of your choosing. It needs SOMETHING to make it more than just an awesome sprite of a giant bee, lol. the original concept sprite had sparks shooting out of the stinger or something which would be cool.

I hate to butcher such an amazing sprite, but I agree with both of you about it not looking very electric-y. So here's a more shocking version.

Watt do you think?

Woah, that inspiration pic sure is great 0.0 Love it. Anyway, I think I´ll redesign it a little. Btw is it okay to give itred fur? I hesitated with that, because it doesn´t look that much Electric with that, but it sure would look better.

Yeah, sure. Like the pic I posted it has red fur but is still obviously electric. Just give it a shot.

Made a WIP of one of the pangolins, not sure if it's a baby or an adult.

If, for some reason, if I don't succeed, I'll post concept art for Doran or JoJo to use.

Here's the Adult Water Ospray.

Enjoy. Took me forever to finish, and it is arguably my best sprite ever. +)

Also, expect pics of Earth Infant (Plus maybe adult) Kangaroo and Adult Fire Lobster concepts tomorrow. Was unfortunately unable to snap some pics today, but expect them soon. +)

So, finally got around to some pictures. Enjoy!

Not much I can say about this one in the notes section, except for the fact that it looks allot like my Armadillo Lizard from way back when. I can say what I am expecting it's coloration to be, however:
A: Blue main with orange trim and spikes.
B: Invert of A with more of a red instead of the Orange.
Also of note, even though this is a partial side view, it could potentially be a final pose if it is OK. If so, can I start spriting immediately?
IMG_0086.jpg

I made this without a base image of a Kangaroo at hand, so the feet and body are slightly off. I hope to fix this in future iterations if the concept is pushed through. Also of note, this is obviously just a conceptual side view. I do these to get the main idea on paper before I go into dynamic poses.

Again, sorry for the wait. I had allot of homework to do as of late, and allot more to finish tomorrow. Hope you guys do not mind. +(

Looks good. Some edits will be needed but I can take care of that. THanks!

While I like your concept/pose for the fire lobster I think you will run into your old problem of having too complex of an image to try and make a quality sprite in the end. I don't think that when shrunk down to 100x100 and colored that you will be able to tell what is going on on this guy. Other than that I like it the concept though.

The concept for the earth kangaroo juvenile looks good. Obviously it needs a more dynamic pose like you said and I think that perhaps it could also use a tail. Kangaroos have huge tails so that might be something to consider.

I almost missed this guy back there!

I actually really like the concept you have going here. The sprite itself is way too much of a side view but I like where you are going with it!

You know, I considered that very thing as I was making it. But then, tbh, the only real thing that makes it look cluttered is the spikes. And I realized that there is an easy way to fix this. I could simply just not give the parts outlines, and mark the spikes instead using a lighter shade. This would represent how they catch the light better than the rest of the body, and it would fix the need for an outline. What do you think about this idea?
