What's your lead?

Mine's:

Aerodactyl@Focus Sash
Jolly
EVs: 252 Attack, 252 Speed, 6 HP
Pressure
-Stone Edge
-Crunch
-Ice Fang
-Earthquake

Stone Edge kills Weavile and fliers and if Weavile hangs on w/ Focus Sash, then Ice Punches me, I can hold on and kill it the next turn. (Aerodactyl's Max Speed is 394 while Weavile's is only 383.) Crunch kills the likes of Gengar, Starmie, etc. Ice Fang takes care of Dragons and covers other types too. Earthquake for general coverage.

What if Weavile carries Ice Shard?

Anyways, my lead depends on my team. If it's a random team, than most like a Tyranitar. Fast offense, keep people on the defensive already, and start an annoying Sandstorm.

Otherwise, it depends on the team. If it's a stall one, than Hippowdon. If it's a Speed passing one, than maybe a Zapdos or Gliscor and so on.

Well, for my regular team

Breloom W Toxic Orb
252 ATK 252 SPD 6 HP
Jolly\Adamant

Spore
Focus Punch
Substitute
Leech Seed

Spore breaks all the common bronzong, swampert, ect ect setup leads. If I see a physical sweeper like No Chocolate's Aerodactyl I switch.

For my sandstream team its hippowdon,

Hippowdon W lefties
252 HP 252 DEF 6 ATK
Impish

Roar
Stealth Rock
Slack Off
EQ

To get the sandstorm going. Set up an early stealth rock maybe, and repels the physical leads.

Most Weaviles don't carry Shard but if they do, I guess I'll just switch out on my next turn. I mean I'll still get an attack in since I have a Focus Sash.

Generally, you just swap out. It kinda negates much of the usefulness, but its still great vs. those Dragon openers.

I use either that Aerodactyl, or Swampert with Stealth Rock as my lead.

Almost always CBGross. 252 speed/252 atk, adamant of course, Earthquake/Meteor Mash/Explosion/Rock Slide
the speed EVs are for Breloom, Tyranitar and other Metagrosses. Works for me.

When I don`t feel like using Metagross I use my "personal Gardevoir"
Gardevoir @ Choice Scarf
Focus Blast
Psychic
Thunderbolt
Shadow Ball

Most surprise than anything.

My current team leads with a CScarf Scizor with U-Turn / Iron Head / Brick Break / (Pursuit or Night Slash). It's a decent lead IMO, well pretty much anything with good speed and U-Turn is, and it seems most people today are expecting the new SD / QA @ Life Orb Scizor, so the extra speed can be surprising. I switch between Adamant nature, and just enough speed to beat Jolly Garchomp, or Jolly and enough speed to beat +speed 120s, although then he lacks some serious power.

Other leads I've used are CSStarptor, Bronzong, BulkyGyara and a CounterSash Cacturne, all with varying success

I usually lead with a subpassing Jolteon (Baton Pass, Substitute, Thunderbolt, HP Ice), but occasionally I use a Weavile (Swords Dance, Ice Punch, Night Slash, Brick Break) or Gengar (Hypnosis, Shadow Ball, Thunderbolt, HP Ice).

My lead is

Ninjask@Liechi Berry
EV Spread: 252 Attack/252 Speed/6 HP
Nature: Hasty
-Substitute
-Protect
-Baton Pass
-X-Scissor

Stat boosting Baton Passer. Is there really much needed to say?

I lead with my Weevile.

@Lum Berry
Adamant 252 Atk/252 SPD/6 HP
Ice Shard
Fake Out
Night Slash
Brick Break

No one expects Fake Out and it is excelent for getting rid of focus Stashers. I use Ice Shard for Dragon Starters as well as anyone that thinks they can out speed me. Lum Berry to cure the statuses that would usually cripple weevile. I tend to switch him in and out to revenge kill later on.

Standard Abomasnow with Leftovers
252 Sp. Atk, 252 Speed. Timid.
-----
Blizzard
Focus Punch
Subsitute
Leech Seed

My other lead is Crobat

Crobat @ Focus Sash
252 Defense, 252 Speed.
-----
Hypnosis
Taunt
Air Slash
Roost
Taunt set-up leads (including Breloom). Air Slash Heracross and Breloom leads. Roost off the damage and repeat until you are forced to use hypnosis. Keep health at 100% so that you can hypnosis that pesky Raikou or Jolteon 2 times... focus sash isn't used unless you have 100% HP and lose all of it.

Roost on Fake-Outs. Essentially negates any gain they might of had.

Breloom @ Toxic Orb
Ability: Poison Heal
EVs: 236 HP/252 Atk/20 Spd
Adamant nature
- Protect
- Spore
- Mach Punch
- Seed Bomb

Breloom has pulled through for me numerous times. Mach Punch seems to work better for me than focus punch.

and then there's Kristy (You know, that Floatzel build) for my other team.

Actually, I have so many teams on Shoddy, Posting all my starters would be ridiculous :P

My lead is

Spiritomb@ Zoom Lens
252 HP/ 144 Def / 114 SpDef
Careful Nature
Pressure
-Sucker Punch
-WoW
-Hypnosis
-Pain Split

A double status-er. Fucks up shit.

My best lead was a CalmMind/Psychic/Thunderbolt/GrassKnot Jirachi. But I found him extremely cheap to use. I also had a Tauros for a few days that worked okay.

I'm terrible with choosing good, non-legend starters.

yanmega@focus sash
4 hp 252 sp.atk 252 speed modest
bug buzz
air slash
detect
hypnosis
freaking amazing lead, only thing that really messes it up are sandstorm leads and missing a hypnosis when you really need it to hit

sometimes like using...
aerodactyl@focus sash
jolly 4 hp 252 atk 252 speed
stealth rock
rock slide (dont like stone edge misses and rock slide can give you that lucky flinch)
earthquake
ice fang
one of the best stealth rock setup leads ever.

I use a Focus sash Gengar as my lead. Here's its moveset:

Gengar @ Focus Sash
Timid@ 4 HP/252 Sp. Atk/252 Spd
Shadow Ball
Hypnosis
Focus Blast
Thunderbolt

Right now its:

Sassy Bronzong @ Light Clay
Levitate
252hp/40def/212spdef
-EQ
-Reflect
-Stealth Rock
-Explosion

I previously ran:

Timid Jolteon @ Choice Specs with
Volt Absorb
4hp/252spatk/252spd
-T-Bolt
-HP Ice
-Shadow Ball
-Baton Pass

which packed surprising punch :D

same with lefties i like to use a special sweeper since everyone leads with stealthrockers and i also like staraptor that thing hits so hard and can can uturn when stopped by a wall.

I'm currently running:

Yanmega @ Life Orb
Speed Boost
Modest, 6 Def/252 SpAtk/252 Spd
- Air Slash
- Bug Buzz
- HP Ice
- Protect

Makes an awesome lead. I decided to go with more type coverage instead of Hypnosis, and it's helped me out a lot so far. Protect negates Fake Outs and then if they try to use it the next turn, it has no effect. Took me forever to breed, though.

Just to show you this things power, it 2HKO's Cressy with Bug Buzz most of the time, while Cressy can only Charge Beam/Ice Beam back for like 40%.

Butterfree@Focus Sash
Ability: Compound Eyes
Nature: Jolly
EVs: 252 Atk/252 Speed/4Hp
-Sleep Powder
-Stun Spore
-Tailwind
-U-Turn

Venomoth
EVs: 6 Hp, 252 Sp. Attack, 252 Speed
Nature: Timid
Item: Focus Sash
Ability: Compound Eyes
1. Sleep Powder
2. Agility
3. Baton Pass
4. Bug Buzz

Sometimes I switch it up with this:

Drapion
EVs: I don't remember exactly. It's a bulky sweeper-ish build.
Nature: Adamant
Item: Scope Lens
Ability: Sniper
1. Cross Poison
2. Brick Break
3. Night Slash
4. Swords Dance

It works pretty well. Breloom and Weavile both hate it.
