Tyler gets a lot of criticism because Goblin sucked. Yonkers is of course a FANTASTIC song, Tron Cat is great, and Transylvania is decent, but the rest of it was so bad lol.

I'm a little surprised to see you say that just because if I remember correctly you posted a link to Yonkers in the music thread that first introduced me to him, so for that I thank you haha.
As far as my opinion, I think Goblin is a great album. Of course you have your songs like Bitch Suck Dick and Fish which aren't meant to be the most serious songs, but still enjoyable. I think the way the whole album goes together is a great piece of art though. Especially the whole Dr. TC series of songs.
If anyone wanted to get into Tyler, the Creator's music I'd suggest the Dr. TC series of songs without a doubt. For those of you that may not know, what I'm referring to is a collection of songs in which Tyler is meeting with a therapist and letting out all of his demons. It's very interesting and his greatest piece of work in my eyes.
For reference, the songs, in order are Bastard, Inglorious (both from his mixtape Bastard), Goblin (which leads directly into Yonkers), Window and my personal favorite, Golden.
I do think that Tyler, the Creator is largely hit or miss, though.
What are you confused about? Just because not ALL of Raekwon's material is amazing doesn't mean I'm going to cast off what he has done at one time, or because of that lame Bieber collab. Raekwon did Only Built 4 Cuban Linx... and was a part of Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers), enough said. I'm not saying this to sound insulting in any way but I respectfully say I honestly couldn't care for Kanye West, he just bores me.
I think I know how the indie music people feel when shit posters take huge steaming dumps all over their threads. It's obvious that 99% of this community has no idea about what their talking about when it comes to hip-hop/rap. The thread itself is an obvious troll. I got to the 2nd page and could take it anymore.. Fuck this thread.

i mean, all i'm saying is that there are a ton of rappers in the game, and even if you wanted to only consider the successful ones, there's a lot missing
i mean, drake, lil wayne, i don't even like drake and i only moderately like lil wayne, but i definitely think if you're trying to see who people's favorite rappers are, you have to include a lot more people than you did
