Worst Pokemon Sprites?

Kinda like the Pokémon models from Gen VI onwards, in other words. Then again, I suppose it is much easier to make a Pokémon sprite do a cool pose than a model.
Mamoswine's back sprite in Gen 4 suuucks.
Notice how Mamoswine's main defining feature, its tusks, are totally missing and now it's just a brown blob. Its nose is missing as well.

Something that bugs me with portraits in Mystery Dungeon 1/2, the background color is included with the mon, wasting color limits for the pallete. If the simply had the actual Mon separate from the background sprite, they would of had better color range

The only ones here that really bother me are Sandshrew and (especially) Sandslash, where the poses look boring without looking natural
I just found out about this hideous front sprite that Garchomp had during Platinum's development
stuff like this makes me wish there was a "nauseous" reaction on here

That could be part of Garchomp's "sent out" animation. Still, the final version looks far less ridiculous.
Ever since the prototype sprites for gen 1 were leaked, and we had the helix chamber people try to figure out what they might've looked like from the front, I think it's kind of a fun exercise to think about if we ignore that we KNOW what they look like, how close would we ever get?
I mean by gen 4 we generally had more accurate, and larger, backsprites, but you still get things like Mamoswine. Pretend we've never seen Mamoswine before and all we had was this Mysterious Backsrpite. It has no tusks and it's low to the ground but think of how many ways to interpret this there could be. Strictly speaking, if it still had no name, type data or evolution data we wouldn't even know it's related to Piloswine and probably couldn't tell what was going on with its nose.
Or how about Togekiss? At least here we have a more defined headshape and relationship
But no wings! Togekiss is a pretty bulky pokemon but you'd be forgiven for htinking it's just a silly head on a giant dango or whatever
also i'd consider this just a bad sprite.
... actually, that's the point. It's not a good flier so its flying is very clumsy.
(Then again, it's true that it should have a grounded idle animation, but Sky Battles said "no")

Perspective has always been a problem for Vileplume sprites, especially in the earlier gens.

Pinsir got it the worst with the Gen 1 eyes.
Vaporeon notably uses an old design for its sprite. No wonder this was changed.
The placement of the eyes is the biggest issue with this sprite.
Zapdos looks fine, but the other two birds look awful.
