Alright, going to send out an open challenge testing out my new idea (with a lot of help from Lou) for the Normal gym arena. Check it out.

3v3 LC Rotation battle
2 Day DQ (I may need to ask an extension depending on wi-fi availability)

2 Recoveries/5 Chills per pokemon
Arena: Sword and Shield Gym Version 2.0
(Requesting Items=On to test an aspect of this gym)

Flavor:
Hidden in Opelucid City in the Unova region, there lies an old gym that was once used for Rotation Battles, but was left abandoned after some people were hurt in the gym. Maxim has renovated (and improved the safety features of) this gym, and now serves as his (possible and unlikely) gym arena. The gym puzzle generally involves two types of rotating platforms, long sword platforms that connect one place to the next, and circular shield platforms that connect to four places. Every time one platform is rotated, all the others rotate as well. The trick of the gym is to get rotate the shield platforms in such a manner that the sword platforms lead you to the gym stadium.

Recently however, he renovated the arena again in order to fit a new concept that he had figured out (with Lou's help). The gym puzzle remains the same, but now everything has a slightly more organic look, with a pool of water underneath the platforms giving a cool look to the still somewhat dark area. Additionally, some grass and a few trees have been inserted all around the place, though the spinning platforms retain their futuristic look.

Arena:
The arena however has undergone massive revisions. Instead of a long arena with black platforms for the rotations, the battle now takes place in a much bigger room (connected to the puzzle by means of a door). This room is a very wide open space just outside the city itself, filled with grass and, more importantly, lots of berry trees. When one enters the arena, he crosses a small bridge past the moat that wraps around the arena, albeit with a few very small creeks going across the arena itself. The arena is about the size of an average football stadium (well, the playing area at least) and is covered in grass. Outside the moat, the aforementioned berry trees dot the "landscape" around the arena, giving a natural feel to the place. However, the arena also has a much less natural pair of circular, blue platforms, one on each side of the field. Additionally, upon closer inspection, another "moat" wrapping around the arena actually carries a conveyor belt, big enough for all items but small enough that it won't interfere with the battle. Upon looking ever closer the challenger finds that he/she is not outside, but rather in a greenhouse sort of area with a round glass ceiling and concrete walls, the walls painted with a mural that gives the impression of being in a field that stretches across over the horizon and a huge city in the distance.

But enough about that. The arena has an interesting set of rules for the aspiring challenger. First, the two blue platforms are where the Pokemon will stand and face rotation battle rules. Next, the conveyor belt surrounding the arena is a special item catching belt, which will allow any trainer to pick up any forlorn items and give them back to their pokemon, effectively giving all Pokemon the Sticky Hold Trait. Do note however that items that are consumed (any item that is Flung, Type gems, berries, etc) will not be subject to this trait. Next, all of the challenger's Pokemon and the leader's Pokemon will each get to choose one of the sixteen type resistant berries to give their Pokemon that they can hold alongside their standard item. Turns out this is necessary, as there's a strange generator under the arena that has an unusual effect. This effect is that when a Pokemon is either weak against or resistant to a move, the damage they take is modified as follows:

4x Weak: 3x Multiplier
2x Weak: 2x Multiplier
Neutral: 1x Multiplier
2x Resist: .6x Multiplier
4x Resist: .35x Multiplier

Finally, there is a second generator that creates a permanent increased Gravity field.

With that out of the way, can you use your knowledge and strategy to defeat the leader?

Summary:
Constant Gravity is in effect
Each Pokemon is given the Sticky Hold Trait (Consumed items will stay consumed)
The Trainer can choose one Type Resistant Berry to give to each of his Pokemon in addition to it's normal hold item
(For instance, Trainer A can give his Sceptile both a Miracle Seed and a Occa Berry, and his Staraptor a Life Orb and a Wacan Berry).
Type effectiveness is determined by the chart above instead of the normal multipliers
(For instance, were Trainer A to use Stone Edge on Trainer B's Delibird, then Delibird's damage would be like [Regular Damage from attack]*3 instead of [Regular Damage from attack]*2.25)

Here at the magical type shop, Mr.Heefloot sells many strange and mystical devices. Within these seemingly ordinary devices, a great power is contained, so great that it is even capable of changing the types of Pokemon! For a meager price of less than nothing, Mr.Heefloot is glad to rent these items out to budding trainers for the duration of a battle in his yard. He just loves seeing small creatures crushed by Shieldons! His yard is rather regular, covered in grass and with a small pond nearby, so there are no move restrictions.

The arena is nothing special, but Mr.Heefloot will gladly give one of his precious seventeen items away to a Pokemon at the start of a battle, adding an additional type to them! For example, if the Fairy Wings are given to a Shieldon, then it would be counted for purposes of STAB, type resistances, etc. as a Rock/Steel/Flying type! Just to clear some stuff up, Mr.Heefloot says a Rock/Steel/Dark type is considered 8x weak to Fighting attacks (for an ASB modifier of 3.0), and a Water/Ice/Fire type is 8x resistant to Ice attacks (for an ASB modifier of .29). In addition, a Pokemon may take an item of a type they already are. For example Conkeldurr can go ahead and grab a Super Karate Black Belt to gain double the STAB bonus on fighting-attacks, but also doubling his weaknesses! Only one of each item can be attached per battle, and they do not take up the regular hold item a Pokemon usually has. Here is the list of items, have fun incorporating them into your flavor refs!

Exceptionally Ordinary Something-or-other: This something-or-other has a habit of somewhat normalizing the Pokemon that somehow manages to wear or use it or something like that. Nobody really knows, its just kind of really ordinary and regular and stuff.
Super Karate Black Belt: This black belt is extremely empowering, and instantly gives any Pokemon that wears it the fighting prowess of Jet Lee, Chuck Norris, Yip-man, and Sawk combined! "Be wary of flying feet and fists," it says on the genuine label.
Fairy Wings: Though these wings may just look like they were ripped off of some five-year old's Halloween costume, they are genuine fairy wings. Easily super-glued on to even the most resistant of Pokemon, it grants them the ability to soar around like the average flying-type.
Hive Mind: A small and insectoid brain in a jar, the trainer applies this item by deftly lobotomizing their Pokemon and replacing their frontal lobes with this. The Pokemon is then conquered by a strange alien hive race, and begins acting far more buggy than usual.
Rotten Flower: With on whiff of this disgusting flower, any Pokemon becomes capable of spewing out toxic, poisonous goop like no other. It really is that disgusting. Trainers are suggested to wear gas masks around this item.
Prickly Rose: To apply the powers of this item, the trainer simply slaps their Pokemon silly with it. Eventually, the thorny flower will cause a puncture wound, and its grassy juices with enter the Pokemon's bloodstream. Often, the Pokemon will have a habit of lying around inactively in the sun shortly after being Roseified. Studies are inconclusive on whether this is due to photosynthesis or blood loss.
Scuba Flippers: Just stick these finely-crafted flippers onto any Pokemon's feet, and they'll be swiftly swimming through any drizzle! Instantly gain access to water sources like never before! Note: not proven to work on Pokemon without feet; Mr.Heefloot suggests jamming the flippers on the Pokemon's head.
Torch: Light up your favorite pal, and voila! Instant fire-type!
Mad Scientist Goggles: Equip these stereotypical goggles to a Pokemon, and watch as their fur/hair/scales/shield-faces becomes instantly frazzled by electricity! Soon, they'll be conducting dangerous experiments with Frankensteins and Tesla coils! They grow up so fast...
Refrigerator: Often used in haikus, fridges apparently have another use! Stick this smaller version on top of a Pokemon's head, and they'll be calling Blizzards down upon the battle. It's a wonder what a little bit of chilled ice can do for someone!
Bastiodon Skeleton: Unfortunately, not all Bastiodon fossils were in a good enough condition to resurrect. So, Mr.Heefloot hoarded them, and will gladly preform a rough full skeleton transplant with any brave Pokemon. The sturdy bones of the tough Bastiodon imbue the the patient with rock-hard skin.
Model Train (1:2 scale): When a Pokemon conducts this half-size train, they barely even need their own powers anymore! Honestly, do they really need to use wimpy Pokemon moves when they can just crush their opponent beneath a steel train?
Shovel: As Diglett and Dugtrio show, all you need to be a ground-type is live halfway underground! The shovel makes this unusually tough change much easier.
Gypsy Tent: A Pokemon walks into this gypsy tent a simple Pokemon, and out comes a mystical psychic mind-reader, fully equipped with spoons, crystal globes, and tarot reading skills.
Rusty Ghostbuster: Even Mr.Heefloot doesn't know he managed to acquire this antique, but he does know how it works. Just give it a little kick, and out comes a wicked ghost, eager to posses the nearest Pokemon!
Ominous Hood: When hiding behind this dark, shrouded hood, a Pokemon seems to become evil and wicked, no matter how nice it usually is. It just seems to bring out the worst in everyone. Extended exposure is not suggested.
Master Ball: Everybody knows that legendary dragons belong in Master Balls! So, Mr.Heefloot will gladly allow your Pokemon to sit in this legendary pokeball for a couple minutes, giving them the power of the dragons that used to call it home! Note: Mr.Heefloot does not guarantee the release of your Pokemon, especially if they are a well-trained strongmon.

Orcinus Duo

Banned deucer.
taking

I would also like to ref a 1v1 Singles again in the vein of this battle. Please post if interested, would like two experienced battlers who enjoy flavor.

Basically, it's the ASB arena with a special effect. Every round, your pokemon transforms into your opponent's pokemon, changing status conditions, stats, stat drops, and movepools, but keeping its own HP and EN.

EDIT:
Arena: ASB Arena, Post Apocalypse
Field Type: Neutral
Complexity: Intense
Format: Singles
Restrictions: None

In the distant future...

They said that the apocalypse would come from the skies, but it did not. It came from a deep monster, the cruelness of humanity. Across Kanto, across Johto, Unova, and the world, the remnants of the great war exist only as shadows of their former glory...twisted shadows, wrong shadows.

You arrive in the ASB Arena. Built to withstand every which kind of attack from the Pokemon within, it had withstood the deathly chaos better than most. But the purple haze in the sky loom ominously over, a hued marble sky that reflects upon the crimson ground the psychic powers that were released...

Every minute, the Pokemon are ravaged by this energy. And this energy isn't dormant...no, it most certainly isn't. At the end of every round, the Pokemon will be transformed into their opponent...

Winning is optional. Survival isn't.

Summary:
At the end of every round, the Pokemon transforms into their opponent, changing typing, stats, stat boosts, abilities, status effects, and so on. The only stats that remain the same are HP and EN.

In Orcinus Duo's match.

Arena=Verde Insect Park: The Web
Inside of a prominent Insect Research Center, one huge room rises up seven floors to the top of a massive dome. The trainers will fight five stories up in it, on a gigantic web system that effectively traps all Pokemon on it and prevents easy escape. As such, digging and flying will be extremely difficult for Pokemon not used to navigating webs or strong enough to break through it. The web is used as a research facility for all kinds of bugs, and has a climate control system to recreate any types of weather. The director has generously allowed both sides to use it for the battle, and all weather will work. However, there are no rocks or water pools and the web is completely fireproof.

Summary:
-Grounded Pokemon (bar bugs) will have -10% evasion and -5 base speed
-Only levitating/flying ground types and any bug may use fly, sky drop, or dig successfully
-Bounce will fail
-No natural rocks
-No natural water
