My shiny legendary gang. They are not for trade. This shiny spread was not difficult, but I did have to search each month all the way to December 2012 until I found a low PID that was shiny for my SID/ID with a decent IV spread. I put these catches here as an example to anyone learning RNG on Gen 5. You
can get shiny catches and hatches and you
do not need to RNG your SID. You do need to know what your SID is. Using the latest RNG Reporter, generate seeds and search for shiny PIDs that you're comfortable with. I stick to PIDs under 300 usually. Use seeds with frame 1 IV spreads for catches and frame 8 IV spreads for hatches. And use two chatot in your party to advance to your target PID (teach your Chatot chatter--each time you view its summary pages, it advances the PID by one). Make sure you discover your starting PID first. Do the RNG to get on your seed, and catch a few pokes without a sync and see what nature and ability they are, advancing the PID one a time with a chatot. Once you know your starting PID for a seed, you can advance to the target and get your shiny. And there's my proof below.
