since I posted my RMT I feel comfortable posting my team that I used to get Frizy into the top 100 (tho my RMT got higher -__-)

Hall of Fame link: http://www.smogon.com/forums/showpost.php?p=4055526&postcount=237

Team

Frizy (Virizion) @ Lum Berry
Trait: Justified
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Hasty Nature (+Spd, -Def)
- Close Combat
- Leaf Blade
- Swords Dance
- Stone Edge

Nidoqueen (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Sheer Force
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SDef
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Earthquake
- Fire Blast
- Ice Beam
- Toxic Spikes

Urthemiel (Dragonite) (M) @ Choice Band
Trait: Multiscale
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Outrage
- Waterfall
- Fire Punch
- ExtremeSpeed

Vulcan (Heatran) (M) @ Choice Specs
Trait: Flash Fire
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Fire Blast
- Earth Power
- Dragon Pulse
- Hidden Power [Grass]

Hydreigon (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Substitute
- Dragon Pulse
- Focus Blast
- Fire Blast

Deep Blue (Metagross) @ Leftovers
Trait: Clear Body
EVs: 240 HP / 80 Atk / 188 SDef
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Meteor Mash
- Earthquake
- Stealth Rock
- Pursuit

Ok so Honchkrow isn't working out, too many steel types in OU for the SubRoost set, and Krow isnt fast enough for a mixed set. Switching to Alakazam.

Alakazam @ Life Orb
Ability: Magic Guard
Timid Nature
-Psychic
-Focus Blast
-Hidden Power Rock
-Shadow Ball

Pokemon Online Username: DarkHorseNinja2.0
Hall of Fame Standing: none
Dark Horse Pokemon Currently Working With: Rhyperior
Current Ladder Standing:
1000

Started with Nidoking but remembered Create-a-team is doing a team centered around him, so changed to rhyperior

Politoed (F) @ Leftovers Trait: Drizzle
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 Spd
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Scald
- Ice Beam
- Perish Song
- Toxic

Bulky Toed. Rain support is crucial for Feraligatr. Chose the bulky version due to the bulk and anti-stall / setup.

Jirachi @ Leftovers
Trait: Serene Grace
EVs: 252 HP / 224 SDef / 32 Spd
Careful Nature (+SDef, -SAtk)
- Iron Head
- Thunder
- Wish
- Stealth Rock

I need a SpD pivot that works well in the rain and can actually take those DMs from Latios / Latias / whatever. I always need a status spreader because crippling Pokemons with paralyse is always helpful.

Feraligatr (F) @ Life Orb
Trait: Torrent
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Def
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Swords Dance
- Aqua Jet
- Crunch
- Superpower

My Dark Horse Mon. Not much to say. Aqua Jet is the key here. After Torrent, +2 from SD and under rain, good luck to everybody.

Latias (F) @ Life Orb
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 152 HP / 176 SAtk / 180 Spd
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Draco Meteor
- Surf
- Hidden Power [Fire]
- Refresh

I realized I have trouble with Volt Switches. So Latias is a very good counter to them. Tricking Scarf over to her isn't a problem. Not TOO huge of a problem, anyway. I tried this variant of Latias as it is unexpected and it works out great. Problem is that it dies too fast. With Recover, I will get wreck by status. With Refresh, I die too fast without Wish support.

Virizion @ Leftovers
Trait: Justified
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Calm Mind
- Giga Drain
- Focus Blast
- Hidden Power [Ice]

Suggested by Pocket to have another Water / Electric counter. Helps with most SpA attackers.

Froslass (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Snow Cloak
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Spikes
- Taunt
- Destiny Bond
- Ice Beam

Another Dark horse. Brings down at least 1 Pokemon per game if played correctly.

I am having huge, huge trouble with strong Physical attackers. There just isn't any safe-switch ins to that Haxorus / Terrakion. It's really troublesome. And I am hovering within the 1100 benchmark. Not rising, but dropping. Which is depressing.
In case anybody missed it.

Hi, I have been facing lots of difficulty for finding good partners for a team built around nidoking, can any of you please help me?
I've never used Nidoking myself but I've heard Quiver Dance/Baton Pass Venomoth is a good partner to allow Nidoking to sweep. Rotom-W also poses a problem to Nidoking as bulky versions can take a Thunderbolt while Choice Scarf versions will outspeed you after the boosts and KO you with Hydro Pump. Gastrodon is a good counter to Rotom-W as most of them can do little more to Gastrodon than Burn it while Gastrodon can hit Rotom-W with Toxic.

Using this strategy, you might want to bring in BP Espeon as well to take care of nasty Phazers.

@ Charge

I fully agree that there is not much that can switch into those 2 pokemon. Skarmory is not a bad bet, since it can handle them both pretty well. You could try it over Frostlass (tho thats a Dark Horse pokemon gone). Nidoqueen walls Terrakion like a pro and can handle Haxorus 1v1 in a pinch. Lastly, CB Scizor can act as an excellent check to both. Personally, id worry about Countering Terrakion first and then worry about Haxorus since its easier for you to revenge kill.

So I laddered up with a more offensive, and arguably more synergetic, team in which Togekiss is always a service (Wreaking havoc on stall teams by daylight, healing my offensive Pokemon by moonlight). This team was made, and some teammates were discarded, since I was pretty tired of being taken advantage of by certain teams. Hopefully this replaces my place in the Hall of Fame, and here are my results:

Isis (Togekiss) (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Serene Grace
EVs: 236 HP / 20 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Nasty Plot
- Roost
- Heal Bell
- Air Slash

Pixie (Jirachi) @ Leftovers Trait: Serene Grace
EVs: 252 HP / 160 Atk / 96 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Substitute
- Body Slam
- Iron Head
- Fire Punch

Surt (Heatran) (M) @ Air Balloon
Trait: Flash Fire
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Sunny Day
- Fire Blast
- SolarBeam
- Earth Power

Isis (Togekiss) (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Serene Grace
EVs: 236 HP / 20 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Nasty Plot
- Roost
- Heal Bell
- Air Slash

Hitoshura (Dragonite) (M) @ Choice Band
Trait: Multiscale
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Outrage
- Fire Punch
- ExtremeSpeed
- Brick Break

Tiromitria (Salamence) (F) @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Moxie
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Naughty Nature (+Atk, -SDef)
- Outrage
- Dragon Claw
- Earthquake
- Fire Blast

Undyne (Starmie) @ Life Orb
Trait: Natural Cure
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Rain Dance
- Hydro Pump
- Thunder
- Rapid Spin

I might just post an RMT soon, but I like being secretive. This is the most public I've ever gotten on my team.

AccidentalGreed, I hope you do post an RMT; that team looks insanely cool. I also like how insanely offensive it is; the fact that literally nothing has more than 4 EVs in either Defense or Special Defense, with Jirachi as your only "wall-type thing" is really entertaining.

Changing my dark horse pokemon to cresselia. Only peaked at 108 with suicune, went on serious tilt, and couldn't recover lol.

It is all good, alexwolf! Multiple users are allowed to enter with the same Pokemon. It's when that Pokemon hits the Hall of Fame that it is removed from public selection.

Also as a general announcement, I'm quite sure that there is going to be another round of the Dark Horse Project next month! If anyone knows for sure when the ladder resets (is it every month or every three months), then please send me a PM or VM. I haven't found anyone that knows for sure! Keep on the lookout for another post by me soon on this project's future.

Can someone explain me what that tilt thing is. I was often in top100 but never really realized that anything strange happened. I guess it is because sometimes i dont play po for a month and forget my rank.

tilt is like when you're playing really well but then you lose a match and then get pissed and lose another match and then get pissed and lose another match and so on
