It seems that both competitors want to do some serious damage to their opponents, as they both repeatidly hammer their opposition with super effective attacks. Salamence utilizes a trio of crust-shattering Earthquakes, each of which does some serious damage to Nidoking. However, Nidoking responds with an Ice Beam to break the substitute, followed by another Ice Beam to hit the dragon right out of the sky. Nidoking is even utilizing Sheer Force to hit even harder. The truly crushing blow, however, is Nidoking's final, super Ice Beam combo, which manages to hit Salamence critically and do a ridiculous amount of damage. Both pokemon look tired out, but this game still seems to be up for grabs.

Wait a minute what? You said last round specifically that Salamence's substitute broke, but now she has one left?

"With two mighty Dragon Claws, Salamence ends Pyroak's sweep. All Pyroak managed to do was to break Salamence's doll, but that even seemed meaningless due to Salamence receiving its wish during its attacks."

yeah the disparity between flavor and reality there is most certainly grounds for a reorder

There was originally a crit on that substitute which was removed with no reason afaik. That Mence should be dead, and if there was a change to a reffing you should inform the players before you ref the next round.

This actually really annoys me, it's a shoddy reffing in a tourney, where the maximum reffing quality is expected.

what the hell

ffs >.<

ks we need to discuss this

also: glacier says: I noticed that Typon77 didn't show or calc that Moxie on salamence was activated. It did kil pyroak right? therefore, you should have a +1atk boost to all those EQs.

22:54 Gerard Deck, what was the ruling about critical hits on a pokemon with substitute?
22:54 Deck_Knight Crits can happen just like in-game

So, Crit happens, Salamence has no sub A1 and KS wins, gg everyone

Not really, since both, iirc, made orders based on the broken substitute. Otherwise, this "ghost" edit was not on...

KS wins, & that is that. Let us move on to the next round, & onto more important things.

As far as I can tell the old reffing was edited after both players had ordered, so they theoretically must have ordered with the lack of a Substitute in mind. Because of this, I'm going to agree that no reorder is required since at the time of ordering both players had full knowledge of the true condition of both Pokemon. Therefore, unless a mod or promod tells me that the Substitute edit happened before the players ordered, King Serperior is the winner.

I'm sorry about all of the problems guys. It was a rushed reffing and I got multiple opinions on what could happen. Still busy IRL so I'll do rewards now

Rewards
King Serperior gets 2 CC and Soldiers of Gaia move on
Gyarados, Pyroak, and Nidoking get 3 MC each
Pyroak gets 2 KOC, and Nidoking gets 1 KOC

Lady Salamence gets 2 CC
Machamp, Emboar, and Salamence get 3 MC each
Machamp and Salamence get 1 KOC each

I (reluctantly) get 7 UC..
