for the record, this is the OCG ban list, effective March 1st.
however, TCG ban lists have NEVER been different from OCG minus OCG only cards.
It makes sense with the new jinzo cards coming out that they would unlimit jinzo, and remove call because of it's nasty effectiveness with jinzo. Every deck except jinzo decks will like this addition, who don't really mind, but MoFo is banned too, so that monster reborn isn't coming back unless you Magical Stone Excavation it. Pretty costly.
This is definitely going to have a huge impact on the metagame, also with raiza limited one, you're going to have to run the other monarchs too. Plus breaker is a lame card and I hate it.
But for my battery cards, I love this change :D!!!

I haven't gotten back into the actual TCG. But I have been playing a Yugioh game for the DS with a very expansive card list and I love it again.

I went old school and made a Dark Magician deck in game. That deck type has gotten major support. I love it. It might not be top tier but the deck is fun. I never liked cookie-cutter and standard.

Manjyomethunder and shriek have the list and it lacks a lot of the cards you speak of. Not to say you're wrong, but your friends and their site don't seem like a very trustworthy source. Lets just wait and see.

It is just back to 1 solely because of Macro popularity and the fact everyone sides 1-2 crows.
No, it's also back due to Jinzo being unlimited. With jinzo unlimited, call of the haunted makes nasty chains to negate traps, and it can be brought back with trunade and other cards.
Plus, sangan > torrential with CotH is gone. This forces you to reborn creatures on your turn only. Interesting setup.

I once heard someone say in response to Disk Commander's possible brokenness and the means of controlling it: "They won't ban Disk Commander, they'll just do something stupid like put Monster Reborn at 1."

I quit awhile ago, but I regulary visit my old team mates from Sheffield. I'll be lurking more in this thread seing what's happening regarding Yugioh.
I don't get how Monster Reborn is back and Call Of The Haunted is banned.
Restricting Cyber Dragon to 1 was an old theory we all wanted to test as a 100+ community throughout my time there.

We aren't saying they are bad. We're just saying it was a suprising winner, what with all the Dark Armed Dragons running rampart in the top 16, you'd expect them to win.
Samurais have finally worked their way from tier 1-2 ish to tier 1! Yay!

went 4-3 at my regs w/ Zombies
round 1: played Macro Cosmos, almost won this. I sided into Bazoo Return and had game set up. I had Decree set with Return, so I was gonna go Decree chain Return for game then he tops into Heavy Storm (in a Macro Cosmos deck.. grrr) and I lose game three.
round 2: noob playing Kaiser Seahorse and mained Frostasauros.. won.
round 3: played Hooman Farabakish, probably one of the best players at the event, and he just out plays me with his monarchs. Summons Vanity's Fiend game 2 and couldnt get it off the field.
round 4: LADD Destiny Hero.. both top decking, he has one card in hand and its a crow.. was pissed because I topped into BoL. He goes on beating me with some random monsters after I can top anything.
round 5: LADD DestinyHero again but this time I beat him pretty easily and draw well.
round 6: dont remember this round at all tbh but I smash this guy too.
round 7: played against Opression Gadgets, we both werent gonna top buy I play anyways. I getting Game 1 because he drew all monsters and 1 Banisher. Game 2 he gets everything he needs. game 3 it comes down to me destroying his Oppression and me Returning for game.
my cousin gets his invite with Samurai and my brother goes 5-2 with it as well. I did lousy but had a few wtfs.. another Zombie tops because he had fair match ups all the way up.. wish I was in his shoes :P

just got back from Costa Mesa, had a great time but didnt do as great as a I was aiming for in the SJC. However I was doing well in the regionals until I get paired down playing some guy that beat me game 2/3 with Overload+Future Fusion. After that it went downhill from there. I got to play against some good players too, got to play Jorge Olivella (Mexican National Champion) and a few people that actually played Gold Sacro+Crush. DAD was freaking killing me, I only beat it in the regs+sjc twice while losing to it at least 4 times. Its just so damn fast and if I didnt draw into my side deck cards I pretty much lost.
well now Im taking a bit of a break from the game.. might have to go next weekend to get back some cards I let some ppl borrow but other than that I think I deserve a break.
oh and im foiling out my Zombies.. just need a TP2 Morphing Jar..

I had a dark magician fettish and was a huge anime fan lol. I -never- lost and thats prolly because the only person i ever really had a chance to play was my brother and alot of kids at school. I was never overly into it but at the same time i had every card that Yugi had and was so pissed when he got a new card that i didnt have lol. I still have that old deck somehwere maybe ill bust it out sometime.
