If you are using apple icloud private relay, disable that. Its a Proxy/VPN. Otherwise, open a help ticket on site so a staff member can take a look at the IP in question.
 
tried to register an alt for a specific ladder, got proxy locked, turned off vpn and reloaded to get on to my own ip to make sure i could register, now says someone else is using the name

Might be a ghost connection, happens occasionally. If you give me the username (you can DM me if you want), I can check for that and fix it if present. Otherwise you can wait ~an hour for it to expire normally and try again.

  6. my chat messages/challenges show up for me but not for other people, sometimes they send but most of the time they don't. ive tried using diff devices/diff accounts/diff connections, does not fix the issue. smogtours and other ps servers seem to work more consistently. could be a problem with ip, i did start using a vpn about a year ago and maybe the server thinks im still on it even tho im not, so it locks me without me appearing locked? never joined one of those other servers on my phone (only place i use vpn) btw. i was also locked a few years back (2022) but problems didnt show up until 2024. regardless its most likely on showdown's end from what ive seen

Accidently logged into showdown with a VPN on my phone and now have been kicked out of my account and am unable to enter any username (button just shows as 'Loading...' even though I can still read chat/use the teambuilder). This means I am unable to register a ticket on the site as I can't speak in any chats. This is the case on both my phone and my desktop across multiple browsers so I think the issue is with my IP address.

Hello, there are currently connection issues with Pokémon Showdown. Please try again later today and it should work (once the server is operational again).

2. (Web Browser): Google Chrome
3. (Other Browsers?): Microsoft Edge (Issue still the same)
4. When did the problem start?: Tried logging access to pokemon showdown website. Loading username prompt does not allow log in or changing of unusable guest account to actual account
5. (PS Username): ironicivan
6. Problem: No functioning log in prompt to pokemon showdown website
