Metagame USUM Pure Hackmons

rip that means Ransei needs to lock in…

lorb is cool for going from under 75% with steam to 80 min on hooh plus guarantees OHKO on heatran unboosted plus as ptoast suggested damage is fun (+2 sunsteel always kills Melo vs never kills Melo).
4a or 3a spore sounds interesting but I personally prefer the instant wins +2 mmy can get versus stuff like those stalls where your mmy answer is wg or prank hooh and then it takes 80% and they forfeit lol.
ttar does sink momentum a bit but leppa LTBTS off 165 atk obviously helps with this + you can go glare over ssap. Encore/Lkiss/Spore are also probably fine. Pursuit is pretty important to the set, I made it to hard punish pbond gengar for actually clicking moongeist and pick off that annoying psysurge spam on ladder and then backwards improofed MMX with it (which is why it’s v-create)

I’ll upload a post tearing apart the other teams later ZeldaFan1, I actually wrote this but then turned off my computer which deleted it and since it was like six paragraphs per team (I was VERY bored) I didn’t feel like writing it again

anyways tyranitar is really cool and CFZs are really good so I might try some harvtar shiest

I don’t really know how to end this either so hello1433 ladder is a false matrix, if you spam enough games at it eventually you win enough to get high ladder because 90% of the players suck which is how Zeus got #1. Also viola lunala built one of the teams lol explains 248 HP mg gar. We got blind leading the blind in USUM PH before GTA 6

finally uhhh it has come to my awareness that one of my teams has zap cannon mgb gengar. Please make one of these fissure/sheercold.

apparently I got to the 29th page? Can I say first? Couldnt have done it without the spam of obnoxious oneliners shoutout Yeetoos and the others
Hell there Dark Wall if this is you (That nickname seems familiar, also I am not blind) ALSO If your gonna dissect team's at least provide constructive criticism on HOW to fix said teams otherwise your just being a prick IMO doing such actions without at least Proving some Teambuilding TIPS is just Idk Welp Idfk anymore ladder is shit Edit: Buddy do you just like being a prick? like just pointing out every FLAW in a team? well post one of YOUR teams here if you belive yourself SOO good at least provide proof of having the teambuilding knowledge to be disecting teams like this

ZeldaFan1 can we get a fanfiction about one liners? I swear they’re scarier than coil megagross…

Seriously though Ransei please either moderate your thread or have someone else do it who’s actually interested, this is going from “slightly annoying, just enough to joke about” to “this is actively ruining PH thread”

Aside from that, it’s time for me to make this NOT a one liner by posting some teams! Except this time it’s only two teams. Eyeos’s suffering will never end as this is a DOUBLE SAMPLE SUBMISSION!!!!

https://pokepast.es/00b3af74e7e97cc0

so I was larping around with ptoast (my goat btw PenultimateToast fried me on ladder while I was using this) and they kept suggesting to make my sets more insane. This led to the reinvention of Deoxys except it only clicks zmoves. I later added yveltal to the paste while theorycrafting yveltal sets

Later that day, I was messing around in sr2 trying to make viable sets for a different teamdump. I eventually decided on trying leppa pdon sets but couldn’t get one that I didn’t feel was an inferior MMX or MMY. Ghastlypixie I think? Suggested using magic guard or wonder guard, which made me realize that mold breaker existed and add that to the squad. After moldy v-create and smash I thought that slowbro and other waters would be a problem so I added stoked sparksurfer because para is broken then added let’s snuggle forever because it hits dragons especially zygarde. Unfortunately you can’t use a physical electric Z-move and OHKO slowbro neutrally I believe so you kinda arent improofed with big innards but also just v-create spam versus imposter then innards it or revenge with Deoxys idk. With yveltal, pdon, and Deoxys on the squad it was gonna be innards improof so I asked phcord for silly innards sets and Electra passed this one which is relatively funny not sure how good it is though because I only needed to escape pursuit once and it left me at 25% which is pretty much useless.

After that I just slapped MMX and gengar and called it a day tbh very boring but if it works it works. The proof I have of this being at least slightly sample worthy (it isn’t) is that it got to top ten (rank 7 highest 1703 iirc) without me needing to think much. I always got cteamed by the time I’d try to climb past 170X though which was irritating.

you have weak matchups into like everything lol. If you guess the set wrong it’s probably over. Also if people use random unsets like scarf no guard and focus sash wonder guard kartana you probably just lose a Pokémon. No guard as a whole is tough too try to get tspike and fimp if it’s Deoxys, trade something and fimp into gengar, or tspike and fimp mmy. Others exist too but that’s case-by-case. Pbond gengar needs you to make every play right or you probably lose. Fakespeed evoboost slaking (kinda fake ngl try to do something well not two things poorly) forces innards.

It’s a double sample submission but the other one is just a modified version because I wanted eyeos to endure more. This one is less silly which annoys me but it’s better so whatever.

https://pokepast.es/ead5a88421767284

holy shit a core that actually beats no guard (fissure loses to yveltal sheer cold gets swapped around with innards + groudon)

You totally lose to multiple OHKO which is a fraud set so just play better. It’s basically the same team so I’ll just explain that Deoxys EVs are to guarantee OHKO on imp with any attack.

Happy testing, Eyeos ! I hope you like seeing the phrase “ate its leppa berry!” Because that happens a lot here.

What the fuck is a stall
https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen7purehackmons-2481256158

this is not ever making it to samples lmao

ps oneliners: please delete them I’m making a whole stockpile of teams and some random with a ladder peak of 1500 rolls up and posts ten words and makes my dubious teams annoying to read because you have to scroll up past little Timmy’s funny haha remark or random question that could have been on the discord or the PS! Room.

OK things are started to get a little bit heated so I'm just going to step in.

Mewtwo's Greatest Soldier we've seen you complaining about one-liners and such. I do agree but it's not nearly as bad as you've been making it out to be. Short posts are fine as long as they add constructively to the conversation which most posts have. Despite the name, when we discourage "one-liners" we aren't literally discouraging posts that are one line long, although yes ideally there would be more. Just for example, take the short posts replying to rightclicker's monotype teams post. Would the posts be higher quality if there was a little paragraph about the team accompanying them or something else? Sure. But they are hardly worth deleting in their current states because they do contribute to the discussion. There are posts on here that aren't constructive and probably warrant deleting but the reaction seems disproportionate. We do hear you though that some of the discussion on here might be better suited for the PS! room or discord and we agree.

Ahh Yes double submission to make Eyeos test more samples LOVELY! also No I will not stop with the one liners yes im just teasing yes im gonna post the most annoying team to have eyeos test!
Viola ~ Lunala ^﹏^ What was with that response? I understand you might be frustrated at their complaining but please try to be more civil than this. If you have a problem with them work it out in DMs, not in a public thread.

Also usum council tests teams not just eyeos idk where this idea that only eyeos tests sample submissions got started ;-;

as much as i wanted to post this wonderful thing diemond35472 said on its own
Screenshot 2025-11-16 12.09.35.png

i'm also getting annoyed with all these one-liners just like gloomstalker is so i won't post a one-liner and instead i'm posting a few shit teams i made while i was probably on something. (these are NOT sample sumbissions, eyeos you're finally free)

:solgaleo::gengar-mega:::audino-mega::ho-oh::chansey::chansey: wanted to build balance with mg solg as an alternative to pdon as it has nice defensive utililty, stab sunsteel and solg z (ndm is ugly and evil and slow and not as bulky and should probably be like c tier atp). please don't calc how much freeze-dry to zyg, but you could probably go volt tackle instead to hit stuff like gyara harder. ho-oh is the improof instead of heatran because i hate fissure, but 4x rocks weakness is pretty sad. rest of the team should be self-explanitory.

:deoxys-speed::kartana::kartana::chansey::chansey::chansey: idk what i was thinking with this one. deo sets hazards and clean offensive teams once innards/fakespeed have been killed or innards™ed, both kartana are meant to kill things (volcanion isn't real, it can't hurt me), imp + dual innards also help vs offense. the level 71 one means you can always die to min attack pbond gar's first hit of u-turn while still being able to run eviolite so you don't also fold to special moves, unfortunately it coincidentally barely doesn't kills slaking.

:solgaleo::gyarados-mega::zeraora::audino-mega::lunala::lunala: idk man

:diancie-mega::steelix-mega::gengar-mega::audino-mega::chansey::chansey: diancie kills things, steelix improofs diancie, rest is self-explanitory. when i posted the diancie set in a side hackmons related server aidan amoongus thought it was for bh which is kinda funny.

:gardevoir-mega::steelix-mega::gengar-mega::audino-mega::chansey::chansey: same team but with gardevoir, since it gets big stab psystrike to snipe rarer stuff like pogre and wg blob, not really much else to say.

are these teams good? probably not tbh, but my ph mindset is currently building sheist teams. they're super fun to use though.

:zygarde-complete::lunala: how did this make its way onto my post

Sorry I was just trying to cool things off with a joke my apologies if anything came of as rude but things have been worked out also atp Its a running Gag that Eyeos is the only team tester

Speaking of teams I have another sample submission https://pokepast.es/d53f8a672d92e883 this team I find has enough coverage to get around most of the common teams on ladder while being able to not just get swept by a team of six blobs if played right and I have dont pretty well with this team and while theres obviously most likely problems that could be picked apart im gonna let the people of this thread do that! YES feel FREE to put your opinions of this submission but not to derail from the topic of this team it has A Huge Power MMX that coverage that let's it hit alot of things (Don't try hitting Sableye tho cause you won't be able to) and for things you can't just hit with MMX theres MMYwith moonblast to force Those Dark Types out Kartana is WG to make sure NG doesn't just sweep you if the blob was already sacked Psysurge obviously keeps Prio mons like Triage ray from going ham and the blob is standard blob stuff

I and the rest of the USUM Council have acknowledged that our resources haven't been updated in a very long time, so we've looked into changes being made to update things to the current state of the metagame and what draws players in. The VR Update is currently being worked on and will be posted some time in the near future. For now, we have sample teams updated.

After lots of consideration to the effectiveness of submitted teams as well as their overall appeal in the meta from incoming players, here list of teams and updates:

Upon reconsideration on our part as USUM Pure Hackmons council, we will now be replacing the Bird Council Yveltal Spam with Child of Night's Primal Kyogre stall team, which has done impressively on the ladder and against notable players alike.

:chansey::blissey::sableye-mega::kyogre-primal::celesteela::zygarde-complete:
Primal Kyogre Stall by Child of Night

It'll be placed on the bottom of the samples list as it is the now the most overall defensive sample team.

On the side note: Sample submissions are now closed for the time being - They've gotten far too out of hand on this thread while being left open indefinitely. We may still be looking into making future teams sample worthy in the future but not on this thread.

yes finally someone else understands mbee's capabilities as a sweeper. i really thought i was the only one who uses mbee this why but either way yes yes yyyyyyyyyyyyyeeeeeeeeeeeeeessssssssssssss.
First of all we are usually trying to avoid posting one liners with barely any useful imformations.

And I do Like mbee but its not really capable to be a setup (or) sweeper. The natural high speed tier does help a lot against offense and balance, while first impression grants its ability to revenge kill even faster foes without sash on. To me this is more like a fast offensive pivot.

To avoid filling up the thread with sht post I'm gonna post sth informational right here which is more sht ass sets yes

imp sweep.gif
Look familiar?
Scenes like these are happening all over the galaxy right now.
You could be next.
That is unless you make the most important decision of your life.
Prove to yourself that you have the strength and the courage to be free.
Join...the Imp killers.

so here is some (underrated) imp killer sets

Deoxys-Attack @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Huge Power
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 SpD / 252 Spe
Hasty Nature
IVs: 0 Def / 30 SpA
- Light that burns the Sky
- Photon Geyser / Searing Sunraze Smash
- Pursuit
- U-turn

As we can easily see its a simple imp trap. On the other hand Hp deoa isn't so bad if you ignore the lack of power. This does work against a lot of imp, but outside of being a imp trap its prob just only useful on psyspam hos. iirc its the only shed shell imp trapper

Zygarde-Complete/Slowbro-Mega/Steelix-Mega/Blissey/Insert whatever wall @ Shed Shell / Safety Googles
Ability: Arena Trap / Shadow Tag
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Def / 252 SpD / 252 Spe
Impish Nature
- Shore Up / Strength Sap
- Spectral Thief / Spikes / Defog / U-turn
- Perish Song
- Taunt / Imprison

Also pretty simple trap, shts on passive non pivot sets.

Again people are still hella underestimating impostor...

hello i have a new team i need honest thoughts on this team so be completely honest and at lest tell me what needs fixing https://pokepast.es/4d081598957f8454
first of all balance sucks. And mbee doesnt need sash as in most cases its not gonna act as a game saver anyways especially when your team lack strong hazards control. The maud+mbro core isnt bad but not when it is a fc mbro... And no moldy gigas is ??? plus i dont really like smash slak/gigas but they should be fine as long as you plan to actually improof them. and this team lack a overall speed control
wip

Me.

Anyway, I have a team. Before the reapers come for me, no, it is probably not a sample submission (though honestly it might be able to be maybe).
Welp, let's get into it.

https://pokepast.es/804fe814daba5760

So...I don't remember how to do the fancy formatting, so this is gonna be a wall of text to explain the team. I guess.

PDON: It's my PDon set, the STag one. TArrows is the big dumb STAB button that does exactly what you think it does, and also dunks on low ladder. If this team is run in higher ladder, TArrows can probably be switched for another move like SSS or MMM or something. V-Create is the very stupid big STAB move, that is the main button to do stuff. I experimented with Sacred Fire for a better Sash Kart MU, but then I added MGar and that was no longer a issue. LSF is the move that kills MMX and MRay and MNec(If anyone uses it) and other mons weak to Fairy. It also looks very funny to use. Trick ensures that I can do something once PDon kills a MMX or something, and lets it do something to bulky mons. Improofed by both WG mons on the team, if SSS is used over TArrows, the Improof is weakened, but not gone, and if MMM is used, MAud is the Improof.

MAUD: It's the rat. What else to say. I could see Magic Coat over Rocks for a better Impostor matchup, and better matchups into NG, but rocks are really good, and I could not find a spot anywhere else for it, so I just put it here. Safety Goggles because fuck Spore, but I could maybe see a Z move to serve as a Trick sponge, but idk. If you make the second WG mon also support, then it should probably go there. Also, because I have space here, if a Mon is not Innards or a Blissey, run 248 HP EVs to take slightly less from percentage damage like rocks.

KART: I could maybe see a moveset change on this thing, mainly Ice Shard, because I have not used it VS a Zygarde for a while now. Whatever move you choose, make sure the Improof with MAgg stays true. Mainly a Innards check, but it also seems to have a tendency to be a win-con in longer games. I have no clue why, but it works. Sunsteel because duh. Wood Hammer because without it MPert just kinda walls the entire team, plus it hits Slowbro and MGyara and what not. Ice Shard is meant for Zygarde, but it has not happened for a while, so idk. Shell Smash for Shell Smash reasions. Sash because duh.

POGRE: I don't know, but it seems to work. If any Mon would be changed, it would probably be this one, but it does do its job. Steam Eruption is to kill that one Mold Breaker Shift Gear SSap PDon, Bug Buzz to hit Melo and all that stuff, Moongeist because...d u h, and Shell Smash because...d u h. I could see a support WG mon going here, but I don't know. I just don't know. Sash ensures MMX doesn't just eat you alive in one turn.

MAGG: WHY DO PEOPLE PUT MLIX OVER THIS WTF. Anyway, it is bulky, it is a Steel type, it is resistant to Ice and Grass (Unlike some mons) and resists all the stuff Steel does. Core Enforcer for Harvest, and it also can technically chip Sash mons. Haze because you can't spell PrankHaze without Haze. Reflect because I have missed Will-o-Wisp one to many god-damn times. Shore Up because it is the powerhouse of the cell. Goggles because fuck Spore, but this one should probably stay.

MGAR: This is canonically the ghost of Gigas after the horrible accident. Scarf PBond Moongeist is the button clicker VS Kart and MMX and MMY(sometimes) and Deo-S and all the other mons it sounds good into. Searing Shot I have not used very much, so I would not be surprised if it is changed to some other move because Kart dies anyway. It is mainly for Scizor, but PDon generally catches that. Ice Beam for Zygarde and MRay. U-Turn seemed so cool, but I have not really ever had the chance to use it because WG catches me so much with it, so I could see Trick here as well.

So...that's it. If anyone would like to tear this team apart in a reply, be my guest. So...uh...not sure how to end this.

https://pokepast.es/4c86b8ef49eb4c22 How did this get here.
I am hitting a mental roadblock. I have zero clue what to put on the Mega Gengar, because it feels like it just presses Moongeist like 90% of the time, and the other 3 moves are almost never used. Searing Shot only does anything Versus MSiz, Ferro, and Cele, but unless they have Shed Shell, PDon already eats all three of those mons alive. Ice Beam doesn't kill Zygarde well enough, and doesn't do much outside of Zygarde. And while U-Turn seems so good to try and catch shit like incoming Melo or Ash Gren or MGyara, they almost never actually do it, and it is almost never worth the risk of using it when they could just go into a different WG mon to eat a Moongeist. The problem is Improofing, as always. I would probably run Sludge Wave if I could, but MAud needs to be able to Improof. As well, Normal types in general kinda suck to deal with, because if I tech in Secret Sword, it doesn't do much damage anyway to something like a Arceus or a Regigigas. And, as I am not gonna live whatever they throw at Gengar, I only have a chance to kill them on the switch. So, what the hell should I put on the Gar?

(Also, if anyone wants to review the team, be my guest)

I think you should change the Gengar to some breaker set or like ng gar or change the mon completely as I feel like you don't have anything solid for bulky WGs right now. You could also free up a slot by making pogre into WG Kart and chaning the MG kart to something else? Some hazards couldn't hurt either but idk how to fit that, maybe on the ng gar if you decide to try that?

Wouldn't NG Gar struggle into WG the same if not more then the current Gar? You more or less only have one moveslot to work with as coverage, as the other three are more or less forced to be Smash Moongeist Sheer Cold/Fissure, and you can only catch so many WG mons with only one move. With Zap Cannon, WG Normals are still a issue, which is the same as before. I have considered WG Kart, but it being so frail as a WG mon keeps turning me away, along with the fact that if Kart dies for any reason, because I would no longer have a Scarf Gar, NG suddenly stands a good chance of running me over. Also, a problem that I have with the Kart now, and would still have is Improofing. I really would want a Fire move on Kart, but then the Improof falls apart if Aggron is chipped down too much. And if I run the solution of Fire Memory + Multi-Attack, then I no longer have a Sash, which Kart really needs.

Just to make it clear, I am thankful for suggestions. I asked for them, after all. I have found that the best way for me to discover better options is to try and argue against them, and if I cannot, then it is probably a better option.

Okay the point about NG gar is fair and I didn't think too much about the NG MU. As for the Karana improof problem, there is no easy way to say this but if you want to run a fire move and have it be improofed by a WG that does not lose to fissure, you will have to run Ho Oh with a +Def nature... Prankster Ho Oh could also maybe work but you will have to run Flare Blitz over V create. Empoleon is the only other WG mon that really works but that thing sucks and it loses to Fissure. If you really wanna fit the WG Ho Oh maybe making Gengar into a Bounce mon would be good, but the the team looks very different atp so the choice is up to you. I don't really see any other solution here though unless you wanna run a some weird stuff like WG zyg or Pdon to improof the kart lol

I do think you should consider switching up the Gengar slot into something else even if you don't change the Kart set.

When in doubt, CFZs are broken (especially stoked sparksurfer) trick is solid and even stuff like encore can occasionally save games.

As a one-liner hater I will now post some random teams.
https://pokepast.es/39439224d446fe6b

this is the updated version of a team I'll post later. Basically groudon beats wg kart which ladder spams and muk beats other guys ladder spams so its cool except you lose to fissure so celesteela. MMY does silly things like fail to 2hko meloetta and make me consider being iron plate or something. Big fist plate imp !!! because people try to greed smashes with arc and also the entire team loses to arc and I didn't feel like using coat. This was the result of me trying to build b*lance in 2025. Don't worry about taunt tspikes gengar just forfeit if muk's balloon pops.
Also beat dual kartana and won a roomtour!

splodge that wasnt a true 50/50 at the end, if mmx got innarded i could always go imposter and force either a speed tie with kartana or go celesteela on deo forcing mindgames around if i attack kart or not and if i lose those i can still go for speed tie wincon. bliss never dies to chans either. I had outs if I failed that mindgame like I failed every other one (staying in on kart to spectral thief was truly a play of all time especially when sunsteel -> sss killed something anyways)

random ladder replay because funny.

The original. Ok so your fastest pokemon is adamant MMX but you have TRIPLE huge power priority to try to make up for it (It doesn't). It's pretty much the same except instead of any hazard you have defog muk which is terrible everything taunts you for free. Cool yveltal though ladder will always press mgb with gengar so hardswap and pursuit (they always stay in so you end up taking 3 beams). It's mid but it's ladder so I got like 1500 with this in an hour and a half while also doing schoolwork.

N said try 4a mmy. I tried it, it was ok but not really good (mmx is very sad). The scizor is also really bad because the improof is yvel but they just turn and then ???. Cool 6 though leppa ltbts mmx does fry your core because it fries every core.

This isn't worthy of an explanation. Please don't use it.

That's all folks!
