1: What's a bulky steel and what makes it so special?

2: Is it worth investing EVs in HP for Blissey or would it be better off investing it in defense / special defense?

Blissey does not need any SpDef EVs (unless youre going into Ubers) so i would say focus on Hp and Def or those two and SpA.

A bulky steel, i believe, is a steel type that is also part ground. But i am not 100% sure on that one.

That's no longer true in this generation. If you read the Blissey analysis, investing in special defense will actually help Blissey quite immensely.

Hey guys, I got this pineco:
Pineco - #204 (Relaxed)
HP: 25 - 26
Att: 30 - 31
Def: 20 - 25
SpA: 21
SpD: 31
Speed: 20 - 22

And I was wondering if it would be usable for the set

- Toxic Spikes
- Rapid Spin
- Gyro ball/Earthquake
- Explosion

Should I be aiming for near max hp and def?

Does jolly DD dragonite lose any OHKO or 2HKO that adament have? Assume both LO'ed.

Also, what values are set when the egg is created rather than when you take it? I know nature is; I think gender is-right? How about abilities?

@Dexterity
In my opinion, its the 5 bibarels trainer south of solaceon since # of trainer battles are easier to keep track of than wild.

Bulky steels are pokemon like Bronzong and Skarmony who can take hits well with their few weaknesses (or the pokemon that uses their weakness are easily identifiable) and high defenses. Since D/P defense is a lot more about resistances then base stats these days a bulky steel is always handy to have due to its many resistances, especially against dragon.

As for Blissy, dumping EV's into HP seems a little redundent :p, if you're going to have a max defense blissy, you'd probably want to go sp.def and def. for EV's.

when running the chlorphyll set on exeggutor, what move do you generally replace when you have HP Fire as an option? :O

It depends.. Sleep Powder is nice to set up Sunny Day, or you could get another poke to set up for you.

Or you could skip an Explosion at 3 HP, your call ;)

My Question

Could you get STAB for Hidden Power being a NORMAL attack with ice power, example, would my Girafarig (Psychic/Normal) get STAB for Hidden Power Fight?
