Ghost Curse would be a pretty useless attack in competitive battling.

Assuming your opponent can switch, they'll simply do so, and you've cut your HP in half for nothing. Assuming you've Mean Looked them or something, well, 1/4 damage isn't really a lot, and they'll probably kill you before they die of the Curse.

hmm i see... what about using it along side pain split

What do people mean when they say that this EV spread ensures maximum possible leftovers recovery?

It means that the HP stat reaches a certain number the gives the maximum amount of leftover recovery. If you'd put more EV's into it, the leftovers recovery won't raise.

Goldfam; If I'm not mistaken NU = Never Used = NFE

NU and NFE are different. NU is pokemon that are never used like ditto, unown etc. NU isn't really a defined metagame though as all these pokemon can be used in UU.

And NFE means "Not Fully Evolved".

@galaceuriel;
They say that because Leftovers recovers 1/16th of your HP, which means that every time your HP is a multiple of 16, it'll recover more.

For instance, a Pokémon with 256 HP (16*16) recovers more from Leftovers than a Pokémon with 255, but recovers the same amount as a 257 HP'd one.

Would a Scizor w/ Technician and Life Orb, after using Swords Dance, be more efficient with Metal Claw or Iron Head?

I'm having trouble deciding between the two.

IIRC the effects of Curse, when used by a ghost, last for the entire battle and cannot be removed by Aromatherapy or Heal Bell. So it might not be a complete waste of a moveslot. Maybe I'll try it...

It's a volatile status effect, so it can be cured by switching the pokemon.

And how does Vileplume learn it? Because I didn't see that Oddish or Gloom can.

Vileplume learns Aromatherapy via Heart Scale.

As mentioned, Curse's effect can be removed by switching. If you can keep a wall in play via Mean Look, Curse can wear it down quickly. Curse is passed via Baton Pass, making it a good, one-move solution for taking down Baton Pass chains. You could do this with Roar or Whirlwind, of course, but Curse cripples each Pokemon in the chain and works even if the target has used Ingrain, so it has its advantages. Curse does not bypass Substitute, however.

If a level 100 Pokemon wins a battle by itself, does another Pokemon with the Exp. Share get 100% of the experience because the other Poke is level 100, or does it only get 50% like usual?
What about if the level 100 Pokemon and the other Pokemon both participated without Exp. Share?
