Garchomp Voting to start on September 5th

Well, I agree, but there are phases in life when you're so busy that you don't get to do any leisure activities. If you have never passed through this phase yet... bless you.
There are also phases in life where other priorities fill "leisure" time. I could spend 2 hours a night laddering if I really wanted to, but my wife might feel really neglected and hurt that I spend more time with Abomasnow than I do with her. Since I have other priorities, I am apparently not qualified to vote on this issue. I hope the folks that are get it right for the rest of us.
It's not like they're actually continuing to monitor it; Doug will just spit out the current statistics at the time of the deadline.
Uhh guys this takes 3 hours total (and I'm stretching the upper limit here) in an entire month.
If you are complaining that you do not have 3 hours to spend in one month in what is considered to be the environment for competitive play here (the ladder), then obviously you do not deserve to vote.
This vote on Garchomp metagame and Garchompless metagame (and Deoxys-S) is based in experience, so I don't understand what all of you are complaining about.

We are just saying if you cannot obtain the necessary experience, you should not vote.
Note we are not even being strict with the line. We are just asking that you play some. 1650 rating and 60 deviation?
Took me (and others) three hours. Hell, if you think I am lying, double that. 6 hours. 6 hours in one month.
If you can't hold it to yourself to play for 6 hours in one month and gain the necessary experience to compare both metagames, then yes, you do not deserve to vote.

So when voting, I understand that this is a pure "yes" and "no" answer, and that we are going to be voting on Garchomp's tier placement: but what happens to Deoxys-s? will we vote on him also, or will he go together with Garchomp? Or will he stay regardless.

I don't see why it would be a straight "yes" and "no" answer (maybe it is, but I doubt it), we still have to provide excellent reasoning to back up our claim to have our vote accepted like the last time we did a bold voting process. With that "arguments" thread that got stickied, it's probably even more of a reason to provide reasoning along with your vote. If this isn't how it's going to be, however, I'd really appreciate it if an admin or mod could clear it up.

at what time exactly do you have to meet the requirements? because I'm actually able to shoddy on friday evening (the 5th) (no dates this week D:) and will hopefully be able to meet the rating requirements after a few hours of laddering. so like, the voting starts on the 5th but if I'm a little late, say the 6th (due to bad internet) in certain time zones would that be acceptable?

September 5th at 11:30 PM, Pacific time is when Doug stated he was collecting the data.
i wish i could vote, but it looks like that won't be the case. i hope no one gets swayed by everyone else's vote. remember guys, this decision has implications that are too broad to the pokemon community for one to get personal or 'what would everyone else think'.

Mostly the people who refuse to kick Garchomp off their team. Ive mostly heard the other side of the story, people who will finally listen to Smogon once Garchomp gets booted to UBER.
Don't matter really, if they listen to us or not. I mean, we're the top server. If we ban garchomp, too bad. lol
On that note, I feel stupid for not having played enough matches on standard ladder this month to participate in this lol

i don't know if skiddle is being sarcastic or not but the fact is that the smogon server is the no. 1 in shoddy and shoddy houses much more top battlers than on wifi. say what you will, the truth stands. this vote is gonna mean things to us who play the game, there's no denying it. that's the pressure that comes with having such a sall party of voters.

While this is unlikely to happen here as the majority of Smogon users want Garchomp in Ubers, this is an interesting issue that might need to be thought about. I'm guessing they just keep the status quo then.
i want some clarity. d-e is not gonna be part of the vote right?
