Pokemon Platinum - The definitive thread: Mach 2 (In-Game Discussion)

>.> read again my friend it's 127 speed

Edit: Damn they beat me

And?

Skymin needs Life Orb or Specs Seed Flare to OHKO Darkrai. Furthermore, it's probably Extended game only, where Darkrai isn't. 100 SDef EV's will bring LO Seed Flare down to 99%. which you could afford to do on a PlotDarkrai.

Skymin also has the minor problem of switching in safely because of aforementioned Ice Beam.

For added lawls, Darkrai even has Quick Attack if Skymin has a Sash equipped, so it can finish Skymin off and continue its sweep. Of course, there is always Air Slash hax. Not that QA is practical on a set anyway, but "Skymin" is neither a safe switchin nor a solid counter.

I looked through the file and found these. I'm probably missing quite a few (I looked manually), but here are some new tutored moves and the Pokemon that learn those moves. I was kind of inconsistent in including Pokemon that already learn the move in Emerald, but oh well.

If it's not on here, it doesn't mean it doesn't learn the move! Sorry for any mistakes; if it sounds too good to believe, check the file to confirm.

Lol sorry I didn't mean to insult you in any way I was just thinking a Skymin raping Darkrai would be funny but on the bright side of all of this, you invented a way Darkrai could counter skymin ^^.

Well...lots of tutor moves for the pokemon...

I only hope it will be cheap or each one of us need to play a month only to earn the opportunity to teach the tutor moves of the pokemon we already have :D

The "money" will be always Battle Point and i.e.the punch always 48 BP?

Going to have fun with Kingdra, to say the least. A Waterfall/Outrage/Draco Meteor/Dragon Dance set would be rather interesting.

Icy wind Suicune reminds me of that doubles leads of Vaporeon/Typhlosion, that team up just got that much better. For awesomes sake, a double lead of Icy wind Suicune/Eruption Entei would be pretty intimidating (goes to try get them). Now that I think about it, wouldn't it work with Tailwind?

Anyone know when its estimated to be released over here?

Probopass also gets Power Gem from this and iirc he didn't get it before
He learns it by level-up in Platinum, so I didn't think it was "new" per se.

In other news, credit to PokeBeach for this:

There's a crunch tutor I believe, lots of new pokemon have it, such as uh steelix... Signal Beam tutor makes my alakazam useless lol, oh well, was a cool tutor to introduce

Superpower is amazing especially for the dark types.

Zapdos and togekiss learns heat wave... kind of random but okay.

I'm just glad my hasty deoxys will get elemental punches =] Also tangrowth gets synthesis.... yay =P

Also, how does luxray levitate??

edit: Wow I really want that fan now <3

So Donphan has gained Seed Bomb (fuck you Swampert), Gunk Shot (fuck you Celebi) and Superpower (fuck you nothing in particular). Pair that up with his existing options like Earthquake, Ice Shard, Stone Edge, Fire Fang, Thunder Fang and that 120 base Atk and I'm looking forward to using CB Donphan! :)

Steelix always had Crunch...
