Awesome Stratagem, but the lower claws look a bit odd to me. I probably just can't see the perspective.

I'd like to, but I've been pretty busy lately. I'll probably jump back in deeper into the winter. What I'd really like to do is scratch out another animation though.

Because no one asked me not to, I'm posting some more fakemon I drew a couple of months ago.

hmm, same shield-like head structure..same useless base HP which undermines otherwise incredible defense...looks like it could be so!

There's something about the sketchiness of your designs that's incredibly appealing to me and i'm still trying to figure out why. I tend to like them better then your more solid lined works. Perhaps the rough lines and colours tend to convey movement more and make the art more energetic.
 
Thanks, Wyverii. I tend to generally prefer sketchy drawings myself. My theory is that with the initial sketch, you get all of the energy and intention of the artist poured onto the paper in the first go, and with every subsequent pass over (cleaning up the lines, making everything relate just right), the logical part of your mind takes over and the picture loses some of its fun and spontaneity.
 
I like the contrasting interpretations of the same condor by you and Caladbolg. One is stiffer, but more regal and dignified, while the other has more life, but appears to embody the spirit of an wise old man rather than a national symbol.
 
Correction, gurren never kicked Enki's ass, Gurren Lagann did, and Gurren Lagann only kicked Enki's ass once, the later times it kicked Enkidu and Enkidudu's ass...

Regardless, I like Enki :(

Or Lazengann, he could always draw lazengann :3
 
These are all great. Your art, the animations. What I really love is how you capture the personality of the Pokemon in the art. Like the Dragonite being playful. And then the Trainer's Pokemon sharing traits with them. It makes me nostalgic for the days when I wasn't a competitive player.

Also, I love how you portray the NFE's. I wish they would make a game where battling was something you COULD do, so you could connect with your pokemon more. I know I'm a loser, but the way you draw the trainers and their pokemon make me wish we could do something like that.
 
well, pokemon ranch is sorta like that. just more annoying


i loved the absol one. great animation in all of them, but love how absol looked pissed even as he was becoming a wall stain
