im a ravens fan but im just worried that flacco might finally fall to an underrated jags team that just had a fluke season.

I feel you Flaco is kinda retarded, but he has had his good moments over the course of this season.

I don't think he's gonne blow it but there's always that possiblity....

Flaco is retarded? That is really how you want to state a rookie player doing a good job in a league with not enough quarterbacks per teams is? It is hard enough just to throw the ball to your target well, let alone make decisions with 300 pound men barreling down on you over and over. Maybe a quarterback who has false visions of being great and throws it way downfield over and over for interceptions could be retarded (this is not a jab at Brett Favre since as often as not he produces touchdowns and is a winner overall, whatever downfalls his strategies may have), but a 14/12 TD/INT ratio with 59% completion is not terrible, especially in a year when your 'star' tight end has injuries and does not produce much all season! Obviously maybe some of that could be blamed on Flacco, but not a single game with over 60 yards for Heap...yikes!

Ew. I wouldn't take the Cowboys to get that far since they are very inconsistent and Romo can't do much in big games. Shall we bring up the Seahawks game?

Anyways since I am a stubborn ATL Falcons fan I will go and say that NO will beat the Panthers in NO while the Falcons will beat the Rams easily.

Then that will make Atlanta the No. 2 seed in the NFC. So they would get Home Field Advantage right? I don't think the Panthers can do much in the dome lol.

So for the superbowl I'm taking it to a new level and saying we have a clash of the rookies ^_^.

Ravens vs. Falcons.

The Ravens showed that they are a force when they took Pittsburg to the limit like that. They also went into Dallas and beat Dallas. Defense wins championships so I'm taking the Ravens to beat the Falcons 20-14 in the Superbowl.

No way on God's good earth will the Cowboys have a shot at the Super Bowl.

An inconsistent passing game, injury prone Barber, and disfunctional locker room does not translate to Super Bowl.

I honestly think it will be Panthers vs Steelers.

You can be as inconsistent as you want during the season. Once you make the playoffs, all that matters is how you do after that. Many teams have done it, and (though I hate to admit it) the Cowboys are a good enough team to at least make it to the Super Bowl and be a contender in it.

I'm a Cowboys fan and will stick by them no matter what. Last Saturday was hard for me, especially because it was the last time at Texas Stadium we lost to the Ravens. Its either win at Philadelphia or hit the road, we need this game. I want them to prove to everyone that we can make it and win at least a playoff game. I'll be happy if we can do that. Though, I can tell you guys I'm looking forward to the off-season and the trades that can be made there. First of all, I would love to have T.O trades or his contract dismantled. Any way to get him out of Dallas; I mean I try to give this guy a chance but I know deep down that this guy is meant to destroy a team's chemistry. Now, again, I'm going to stick with Romo no matter what.

I really don't care that people call him inconsistent and can't win the big games. I believe he can, and he will prove to us in the incoming years. I try not to let past games reflect his drive to win, and all I can tell you about this years season had major effect due to injuries to the Dallas roster. I know that the Bengals wide reciever (sorry going to totally kill his name) Houzamanzadah will be available and I'd like to see we trade for him. Now, we should also get rid of Pac-Man, he's going to be unreliable as well. Start fixing our Secondary, especially the cornerbacks. Then, we'll need some people for our offensive line, especially the left guard. I believe our offense is solid, after the trades that is. We just need to make better game plans on executing the strategy and mix it up. So
basically creating a better defensive game will be need to make us good all around.

Though yeah, I'd like to see the Cowboys get the 6th seed and beat the Vikings, thats all I'm asking. Oh, and I want to make a comment towards Joey Flacco being retarded. That's really some bs talking about a fantastic rookie quarterback who shows patterns of a really poised veteran quarterback in the league. The man is picking up the game fast and learning to play with his team. He's very smart and has a cannon for an arm like Matt Ryan, plus he has great precision. So yeah, you should really talk about a nominee of rookie of the year like that. He has proven that he's worthwhile in the NFL and the Ravens totally looked re-vamped this year. Thats why I'm going to root for them next year.

It's too bad the Pats can still win the division, so there needs to be more than the Ravens winning to eliminate them from the playoffs. And nothing against Flacco, but I hate him for killing Troy Smith's chances of ever being a starter in the league. :(

WB is the biggest homer in Homer'sville

i think the AFC championships will just be titans and steelers.

ravens are very unlikely, it's a lot to ask of flacco.

jets are way too inconsistent with favre there. hopefully they put the game on the ground more, that'll give them a much better shot than just putting it on favre's uneven shoulders.

dolphins seem like a dark horse to me. either they'll be eliminated first round or surprise some people...

lol at afc west.

i just don't see anyone that can beat BOTH the steelers and titans on the road. dolphins maybe.

so imo it'll be whoever gets the best of the titans/steelers rematch.

NFC is fucking crazy i don't even know. NYG and someone from the NFC South for the NFC Championship Game.

troy smith probably wasn't going to be good anyway. :(

3 predictions:

lions WILL win at lambeau tomorrow
panthers/colts superbowl
2009 texans = 2008 browns

My hopes for tomorrow:

Chargers > Broncos
Cowboys AND Patriots kept out of playoffs
Miami and Eagles make it into the playoffs

And finally, for 49ers to win against Washington and keep Singletary as coach.

All I can hope for is a Vikings win or a Chicago loss, due to the utter failure of Green Bay last week (I had expected the Vikes to lose to the Falcons, to be honest).

That is certainly understandable Mr.E. Success versus failure is often luck (of circumstance) more than anything. I mean if the Ravens D is terrible, then an ample chance for Troy Smith to fight for the job arises.

How are the 2009 Texans the 2008 Browns? This year's Browns are either the Patriots (due to the quarterbacking situation, mostly), or that is if they miss. Either way, the Texans this year are an 8-8 team at best..that does not really qualify.

Well, I hope Favre retires.
What was it in the last 5 games...2 td 9 ints?
>.<

Whateverrr...
Go Chargers!
Rivers is so fucking good. He's gonna light up the Colts.

So glad the Packers actually won a game they had the lead on.
I would've sold my shoes if they lost.

The Patriots missing out with such a solid record really shows how fucking stupid NFL's playoff system is...

For fucks sake, if the Atlanta Hawks could make the playoffs last year with a LOSING record, how can a team with a .688 winning percentage fucking miss out :(.

A competition where a team has the equal third best record misses out when shit like the Eagles and the Cardinals make the playoffs is bullshit...

Whatever, the Steelers will win it but I actually don't really give a fuck anymore...

LOL @:
Cowgirls, losing 44-6
Lions, going 0-16
Pats going 11-5 and not making the playoffs
Brett Favre for throwing away the game(twice)

Dammit Drew Brees, so close to that record too. A checkdown running for 16 yards could've been possible on the last play. Oh well, Brees is a team player, going for the win.

Wow, Shinryu you pretty much nailed all your predictions on the head. You should start betting.

Anyways, I'm sore after that Cowboys lost, didn't want to go to work. Hard to see all the Cowboys fans pissed off and down last night. Anyways, I'll be following what Jerry Jones will be doing with the team. Hopefully he'll do what I wrote about in my last post on this thread. A lot of de-constructing and constructing to do. Though I say this, I'm not, I repeat not giving up on Tony Romo.

Apparently Romo was hurting pretty badly in the second half and after the game. I'm not a Cowboys fan by any means, but I do hope he's alright. Although he does seem like a drama queen at times to me.

Stupid Saints had a stupid chance to keep the stupid NFC South curse going and stupid ruined it with stupid defense allowing a stupid desperation pass to stupid Steve Smith.

Eh, I'm glad Brees didn't get the record... history would look back on him as having wasted the season because the Saints went 8-8. I kinda wanted to see him break 5,000 though, and he did, so that's cool. It's kind of ironic that his last pass was probably one of his worst of the season though. But... that was a decent way to end the game. All week long Sean Payton stated over and over that the objective was to win. When they came out and passed 90% of the time against a defense that gave up 300 yards rushing the week before I knew he was full of crap. So to lose the game AND just miss the record was pretty sweet irony in my eyes. I hope he learned his lesson - he seemed to be getting it right in regards to playcalling before that game.
