Zapdos (Only UT Available)
Bold Nature
IVs: 30/27/30/31/31/31
Hidden Power Ice 70!!!

THanks for the help. I went for a different spread with an offset of only 134

Odds are, you can hit the spread without a syncher but you missed it the first time.

Like I said in my first post...

I attempted it 4 times without a syncer and missed it all 4 times. As soon as I used the syncer it worked. I didn't miscount, because I hit the same (wrong) spread every time before I got the final.

Which makes me think it came up as a spread that doesn't require a syncer, but incidentally it does require one.

Hmm, I'm pretty sure I did everything correctly, but it didn't work...

Why exactly is that you need to have only one pokemon to check IVs with the AR? I've used an AR code for Diamond, Pearl and Platinum, and all of them work pretty well with any number of pokemons on your party.

Also, where exactly is everything going wrong? Have you tried a spread that doesn't require many taps, just to be sure that you can do it?

What the guy above me said about IV code is right. You are messing up somewhere doing that too.

Also, that is not enough info, I think I did everything correct. And, I'm pretty sure you didn't do everything correctly, since you messed up.

The code I use requires only one in the party. They never mentioned any side-effects on what will happen if you use it with any # of pokemon in your thread. I certainly don't want to risk on what will happen...

And yes, I do try and use a spread with a little amount of taps just to test it out.

The last one I had to do required:

206 HC taps
0 CF taps

Try using a different code. I don't see why there is a code that requires only 1 pokemon.

I'm a noob so let me this straight: If I want to shiny abuse and IV abuse for a bred pokemon, I can do the shiny process first, and then move on to the IV phase? So I can save after the egg appears and then do the whole process to get the right IVs?

Exactly. The two processes can be done on one project. Aside from finding a good shiny frame, it isn't any harder to do so.

Hm...I remember reading something someone wrote, but I don't think it makes sense, so I just want to make sure.

Yesterday, I saved right as the Buneary entered the tent, and my frame was a consistent 2. I got my Pokemon successfully afterwards.

If I always save when the Buneary enters the tent, does this mean my frame is always somewhere near 2 whenever I'm trying a new IV project? It doesn't sound right, I don't think that's what they meant. D: I assume they mean that if I save right when the buneary enters, then when I grab the egg I'll know if I missed the frame if the buneary passed a certain point on the fence.

Thanks *_*

Okay, so I've gotten the part for getting shinies down (I've gotten 5 out of 8 tries), and I'm starting to work on IV's. I've found one I want on the generator, I've got all of the info I need (time for reset, etc), but I don't get how I lock in the frame. Can someone explain this to me because I don't really understand this in the guide. Also, this is for breeding IV's.

2 quick things not in the OP:

What is the Initial Frame of Arceus? I assume Method J and Frame 1, but, is anyone positive? If not, I'll test it tonight.

What are the initial Frames of the Legendary Birds? Is it 1 for Moltres, 6 for Zapdos, 11 for Articuno?

Nice, got my shiny breed, now I just have to figure out this darn IV process. So, say I have a mac, which I've calibrated my DS to fit to the second, but I'm using my family's PC to run the RNG Reporter. Will that still work, or will I have to calibrate it for the PC?

time is time, doesn't matter. I use my iPod Touch for time, so, yea.

Just use the time off the Mac. You're using the PC to determine the time needed to get the stats, but that's all it's doing. You need to know the time of your DS to get the stats, which is what you're Mac is doing.

Also, question for me. I've gotten 2 shiny eggs (picked up and verified, but not saved as hatched, so still egg), that I've trade to a friend since he wanted them. He hatched them on his game, and they showed shiny as they hatched, but when he checked their page, there was no star by it and it wasn't shiny. He says his ID on the egg which I think might be what did it.

One last thing: Say it takes me 14 seconds from the reset to hit continue, but 15 seconds to actually go to the game, meaning that that one second is black. SHould i say my time is 14 seconds, or 15 seconds?

EDIT: A countdown time? What exactly do you mean?

My cellphone time counts down from 1:15. I've found I can always use it to target 29 seconds. For instance, if I want to target 23:46:29, I reset my DS clock to 23:45:00 at the exact moment I start the countdown timer. (It always starts at :00 when you change the time.) Then when the countdown reaches zero, I start the game from a hard reset and wind up on 23:46:29.

I hard reset because it seems to get more consistent seconds than soft resetting. When soft-resetting I've been off by one or two many times, but I've never failed to hit 29 seconds by hard resetting.

It's cause shininess is determined by your ID and SID, and since the Pokemon hatched under his OT the same numbers that applied to your game didn't apply for his. So yup, he thought right. D:

uggh im confused yesturday i hit my delay and seconds and seed perfectly but when I caught azelf it wasnt the spread i was looking for but another. does anyone know how to generate time for a spread found on a the website because i dont want to mess up again
