How does Intimidate's overworld effect work exactly? does it make Pokemon that have lower level than the user likely to appear, or is there a range a game has set for 'low leveled' Pokemon?
From Bulbapedia:
So lower than the party leader.

Thanks, I was just making sure, because I'm catching Magikarp in the resort area for RNG shiny abuse, and I wanted the leveled-once less likely to appear. Good to know that an Intimidate user gives Magikarp who have lower level less chance to appear :).From Bulbapedia:

On a second thought I'll run Mach Punch on this Ape and U-Turn on ScarfApe, where Mach Punch shoudn't be used.
Scarf Blaziken: Superpower, Overheat, Stone Edge and...Shadow Claw?
HP Ice, thanks! If you don't have access to hidden power, then try thunder punch.
edit: lol, Erazor... you should also specify the reason!!!
HP Ice, thanks!
Scarf Abomasnow: Blizzard/Wood Hammer/EQ/And? Rock Slide? Brick Break? Maybe even Focus Blast?

It's called that because Hazing was to get rid of stat boosts by using the move Haze, while Roar/Whirlwind gets rid of stat boosts by causing the opponent to switch out, indirectly getting rid of stat boosts, hence the psuedo part.why is it still called pseudo hazing? isn't roar/ww just superior when there is usually SR on the field, racking up passive damage?

When I look through the RMT forum, a lot of the teams have a table of weaknesses/resistances for the team (that is, how many weaks/resists to each type there is on the team). Where and how do they make those? I can't find that resource.
Don't forget that it also works on your opponent's last Pokemon. Haven't we all been swept by a last-Pokemon +6 Suicune?Just to add that technically haze has some advantages over roar\whirlwind:
1) works even when the opponent has used ingrain
2) doesn't always go last - which makes it a little harder to taunt.
You can always find shards while digging in the underground, or clone and palpark from emerald after stealing them off while corsola, relicanth, chinchou & clamperl. I'm not sure if nationaldex is required. How exactly do you farm for Shards in Platinum without AR? I remember like last month I tried to get some Underground for like an hour and didn't pick any up. Did I have to get National Dex or something? lol :\
Anyway, some easy and fast Shard farming tips are nice (and I know about the Star Piece thing)! Thanks.

Ahh yea, I could do that. Pal Park some every day, get 6 of each shard. Forgot about that. :OYou can always find shards while digging in the underground, or clone and palpark from emerald after stealing them off while corsola, relicanth, chinchou & clamperl. I'm not sure if nationaldex is required.
I'll keep that in mind, this helps a bit. And every little bit adds up to a lot. :DEach day, you can go to the Great Marsh and talk to the Ace Trainer near the entrance, and he'll give you one random shard. Hope that helps some.
It all depends on what you want to do and what your overall strategy is. If you're using gyro ball or trick room, for example, the answer will be different than if you're leading with frail sweepers.Long story short. Is 160 and 161 too slow for starters in a sweepers team for the VGCs?
Thanks!
