Hey guys this is my first warstory ever and the first time I actually remembered to record one of my epic ones so I hope you like it. I have versed pheonixmaster a number of times but being the experimental person I am, I tried out a couple of completely different teams since our last match up and I do honestly not recall versing this team. It is by pure chance that we have the match up of my Sunny Day team vs pheonixmaster’s Rain Dance Team.
Without further ado, my Sunny Day Team in all it’s glory:

The rain continues to fall.

Another perhaps missclick but two seems uncanny… Why hasn’t Electivire come out to play? Pheonixmaster offers his Kabutops in the form of death fodder to further hurt Scizor in the form of Life Orb recoil (or so I gather, still trying to think why Electivire hasn’t been sent out). Kabutops faints to the swift Bullet Punch and Scizor is on a roll. Then I realise the inevitable will finally happen, Electivire will appear and Flamethrower me in the face. But then I wonder. “Why didn’t Electivire come out straight after his Ludicolo died? He could’ve finished me there and then after Ludicolo failed to do so?” And then I realise a unlikely possibility. What if he didn’t have a Fire type attack and was stalling me out, with knowledge of a bulky Scizor’s ability to live many attacks such as Thunderbolt/Punch from Electivire? Was he stalling with Life Orb recoil because he seriously doesn’t have a Fire type attack?
phoenix_master switched in Electivire (lvl 100 Electivire ?).

Pointed stones dug into Electivire.
Electivire 12% of its health.
Electivire used Thunder.
Scizor lost 66% of its health.
Scizor used X-Scissor.
Electivire lost 88% of its health.
phoenix_master's Electivire fainted.

CREAM_93 wins!
phoenix_master: fuck
CREAM_93: wtf I won?
phoenix_master: i dont believe it
phoenix_master: gg
CREAM_93: gg
phoenix_master: lol
phoenix_master: that was epic
To my surpise the complete unexpected happens. Whether it was a missclick or whether Electivire didn’t run a Fire type attack I don’t actually know. As expected from his non super effective attacks, Scizor managed to live even with the amount of recoil he had taken. I was very doubtful of this actually happening let alone actually living Thunder after the recoil, let alone a 30% paralysis rate and 25% chance of full paralysis if paralysed. Never the less, Scizor came away with a lucky X-scissor and won the game. GG pheonixmaster, it was a great match down to the wire!!!
Pheonixmaster’s superb Rain Dance team:

Props:
- Azelf: set up Sunny Day, Stealth Rocks and exploded to OHKO one of his most lethal sweepers before pheonixmaster could say “Kingdra, I choose you!”
- My last minute strategy against Ludicolo: allowing the “secret weapon” to appear with great success from Life Orb recoil under tremendous pressure.
- Scizor: for killing 4-6 pokemon, doing his comeback job beautifully when the stakes were high.
- Pheonixmaster: for being a terrifyingly lethal, and great trainer and opponent. I have never felt so much pressure in one battle, and I have never had to make such great sacrifices before in a match.
- My Azelf: for being slow!
- Infernape and Heatran: for being the best death fodder I ever put on my enemy’s plate.
- Tangrowth: in hindsight, I should’ve had him Sleep Sowder Bronzong straight out and it would have been much easier.
- Crit hax, luckily negligible…
