Is it true that the DS runs out of power faster when playing a gameboy advance game than when playing a DS game?

And is it true that over time, the DS is able store less power?

As for the first question - it shouldn't. The lower screen is not backlit, and the top screen doesn't have the same amount of pixels illuminated. Plus, I'd imagine that Advance games take much less processing power.

The second question is answered by Nintendo on their Customer Service FAQ.

  • Will I ever need to replace the rechargeable battery?
  • The battery will last for several years (or about 500 charges) before battery life starts dropping. If you experience problems with your battery, please try our power/battery troubleshooting.

My own question - Where can I find information on the AI for NPC Trainers in Diamond, Pearl, or Platinum?

All right, on platinum, i just woke cresselia, mesprit, and the three legendary birds up. so i start to go look for em, bought 99 duskballs 99 ultraballs 99 maxrepels. I get a haunter that knows mean look hypnosis, meanlok and shadow ball, hes at level 42. so im goin along looking for the legendaries, not a problem, run into em pretty quickly. if hypnosis misses my haunter gets kiled in one hit, so i decide to level up my haunter to level 62, i do that save and resume my hunt for the legendaries, but theyre nowhere to be found!! what happened how can i fix this what should i do etc.

Oh... thanks though.

Can you quickly check these:

Darkrai Brave 13 / 12 / 18 / 11 / 7 / 14

Deoxys Jolly 7 / 27 / 5 / 31 / 31 / 13

Shaymin Timid 9 / 4 / 15 / 30 / 4 / 15

Again, these go HP / Atk / Def / SAtk / SDef / Spd

You're not using the Max Repels after leveling Haunter, are you? Remember, Max Repels keep LOWER-level Pokemon away.

But, if you're not and you're definitely in the right place, then you're just unlucky. Keep trying.

Oh, one more thing: you saved after scattering the legendaries, didn't you? If you did, then you are aware you're not going to be able to soft-reset for them now, right?

Darkrai=Legitimate

Shaymin=Not Legitimate

Deoxys=Not Legitimate

Shoddy says it isn't legitimate, sorry :(

Darkrai=Legitimate

Shaymin=Not Legitimate

Deoxys=Not Legitimate

Thanks for checking these out for me. I managed to get a hold of Shoddy and confirmed these for myself. However, I'm almost certain the Darkrai, Shaymin, and Deoxys are legitimate (they all come in Cherish Balls from their respective events, have the correct OT, etc.). Less sure about Jirachi though. So looking into this a bit more I came across this:
http://www.smogon.com/forums/showthread.php?t=39234

And I remembered then that I have a Raikou from Colosseum (which I caught) which never showed up as legitimate on Shoddy, apparantly because Colosseum, XD, and Event Pokemon have a different RNG. So could it be possible that these Pokemon are legitimate after all you think, but Shoddy simply doesn't recognize them?

EDIT: Just confirmed with Colin that the Gamecube and Event Pokemon RNG hasn't been implemented, so there's a very good chance they are legit after all.

Could anyone answer me this: For a Jirachi transferred from RSE to DPP, what does it say for Location? Mine says Hoenn, is that what it's supposed to say, or is there something special like Distant Land or something?

All of my Pokemon Colosseum Bonus Disc Jirachis say they're from Hoenn.

This is a question about RNG Abuse in Emerald:

Say I want to get Latios at 6480 frames (1 minute 48 seconds), do I just click "Blue" (when the mom asks for the color) right when that amount of time has passed from when I loaded my account?

I'm getting really bad IVs and Natures on Latios so I think I'm really lost on how to RNG abuse for him (it's my first time trying to do something like this anyways).....Can somebody explain how exactly I need to go about doing this because I've read the Smogon RNG abuse thread, etc.

hey i've been out of pokemon for a while and i forgot this so: what effect do the power items have on EV'S gained, i thought it multiplied gained ev's by 4 but im not sure

Latias/Latios will always have bad IVs when they're roaming, much like the GSC Trio in FR/LG; this isn't the fault of the RNG, it's how they're hard coded into the game. You're wasting your time if you're looking for a decent one, sorry.

It adds 4 EVs. So if you KO a Bibarel, you'll get 2+4 Attack EVs (assuming you have the right power item equipped).

I dont really understand IV Checking but is there a non AR way to check your IV's? Im trying to find decent pokemon instead of guessing if there right.

Actually, this glitch was fixed in Emerald. So does any1 know the answer?

News to me. Make sure to take the delay into account then (I think it can be found in the Emerald RNG thread on the Evergrande board).

Level it up high enough (or do a level 100 Wifi battle) and put it's stats in an IV calculator. The calculator will tell you the IVs.
