you really should. Football is the world's best sport.
Found this when I was going through some of my old photo albums earlier. It's dated early 2006 back when I actually used to play football (knee injury put an end to that loooong ago) but it's still decent enough I guess. Get stressed towards the end though, bastard football.
I don't know whether to be annoyed or pleased with Michael Owen's initial success at Man Utd. I caught one of his goals t'other day (dunno which one, Berbatov played a nice little flick, Owen chested it and then volleyed it) and he's looking really sharp again!
Barcelona were lucky to win the Champions League last year when they were moments away from knockout at Stamford Bridge. They were unable to effectively execute their strategy because Chelsea's monstrous defensive play that shut them down; essentially Barcelona were immobalized. The style of play is intruiging on the eye, exciting to watch and perhaps the way the game should be played; however, when you're up against 10 men (who are all defending), you need to alternate your approach to the game. But Barcelona only play one way; they just don't hoof the ball from the goalkeeper to the striker. Now, with Zlatan, that's possible. They have acquired a new dimension of play in their team.
I think not only are they on the verge of signing a world class forward, but an asset that considers the likes of Chelsea and Liverpool in the latter stages of the CL.
Both Inter and Barcelona will benefit from this.
It's not that he left, it's that he played absolutely rubbish for us for a few seasons and then as soon as he leaves he starts playing good football again. What's that about? Did he just not care whilst at Newcastle? I'd rather believe that he just wasn't getting the same quality of service that he's getting now but I still can't help but find myself a little miffed. >:(
I think that's quite obvious, you can't replace Ronaldo's goals from midfield with any other player, you have to buy a proven striker. Owen probably won't match Ronaldo's goal scoring of recent seasons, but he'll still score a fair few. It just means that Rooney, Berbatov, and the rest of the midfield have to chip in a little more.Silva definitely wouldn't get you the goals Ronaldo did. Come to think of it, probably noone else in the world could.
Nani and Anderson have yet to convince me that they are capable of playing for Manchester United to be honest. Both have been far too inconsistent for a club of your stature and either they're going to fulfill their potential or they aren't and if they are they'd better start soon. Park I rate very highly and I believe that he needs alot more game time.
I'd be satisfied if Owen, Rooney and Berbatov scored 10 each with random goals from the rest of the team.
The Park needs game time comment is amusing and understandable...I rarely notice he's there.
