EDIT: Working on a Kangaskhan/Rhydon fusion with 4 different colour schemes (Alakazam/Blissey/Rhydon/Umbreon)

How about a cotton candy coloured Wobbufett? I always thought that would look neat :P.

Golduck disguise is done! I removed some of his webbing, shortened his tail, changed his beak, rounded his head, and took off his head gem.

I was just messing around with Kirlia and Gardevoir and it sort of turned into that.

Edit: So far, everybody's sprites are awesome. I'm impartial to the Bigfoot and Mibass.

They're all pretty good. Gyarados and Tentacruel don't look too stellar though =/

The only nitpick I have is that the farther wing doesn't (I think) have enought shading. It looks flat.

Hmmmmm, after a quick skimming of the posts I missed while asleep, it seems we've got those 3 replies I wanted. Chaos, you can go ask the mods if you want.

I think Deoxys/Electivire and then Deoxys/Scizor are up next.

But I think I'll make a format for this Weekly Spriting Contest (WSC) we're having first.
 
I already consulted Expert Evan, and he wants me to PM him the rough draft of the thread. He's considering it. Since Mordock requested he host it, I'm going to expect him to make the rough draft and PM me it. A format would be nice as well.

After the rough draft is done I'll consult Aragorn Bird as well since he mods here.

Any requests before I head to volleyball practice?

And can someone request something from me? I feel like going back to 4th gen for a fusion challenge.
 
Like I said, the fusion gears in my head have stopped turning. I've no ideas T_T

The format I make will probably be similar to the format of Serebii's WSC post. And since these will be WSC's, the thread title should be "WSC Week X", with X being the week number it is. So this one will be "WSC Week 1".

And we need to come up with a good theme for this one.
 
Sounds good, I'm off to practice now, but when I come back I'll brainstorm a good one. Something simple perhaps for the first week.

Welcome to the Smogon Forums Weekly Spriting Contest, a contest that takes place each week just for spriters!

Rules

1: Absolutely no stealing. If you are found stealing, you will be disqualified from the current WSC after one instance of stealing, and completely banned from the WSC after two instances.

2: Follow the theme and sub-theme. If the theme is fusions and the sub-theme is humanoid, then you don't use Relicanth for your fusion.
If you don't know if your sprite is qualified for the contest, ask in the WSC thread or PM the host.

3: We have the right to reject any entry that is deemed inapropriate.

4: Have fun!

And Teh maybe you should put "disqualified from the current spriting contest and possibly further contests" sort of thing for stealing.

In case you haven't already been told Alch, always save a sprite as a .PNG, never .JPG. JPG screws with the quality.

Good idea about DQ'ing though.

Yes, tonight is the last night I get to see her, that's why I'm taking requests now so I can do the pre-spriting now, and start working on the actual sprite as soon as she leaves. I have to come up with the pose before I can make the sprite, and so I have to mull ideas over in my head, which I will do while I'm at work (full-time day job).

You're getting the hang of it Alchemator, keep at it and remember to make sure the outlines are consistent.

1337, your format looks fine so far, but we still need a prize section and a list of entrants. Perhaps an example of the theme (in sprite form) would do well also.

Sorry Mordock but 1337 beat you to the punch. If you still want to host though you can still make a rough draft and send it to me, then I'll send both to EE and Aragorn and see which one is preferable.

So wehn you say "an example of the theme (in sprite form)", if the category what fusions, I would put a fusion up, correct?
 
We could use Pokemon as prizes, just get a donator for first, second, or third. Kind of like SLSAT.

EDIT: I think our first theme should be re-typing. Something basic to kick things off.
 
I'm fine with re-typing. BTW, did we ever get to a decision on how winning entries should be chosen? Like by a judge or the democratic way (where everyone gets to vote).

Donators = Nice people who give stuff away for free (coughcougharomafloracoughcough)

I suppose I could make a trophy of the winning entry (if they don't want a donation). I have all the necessary stuff to do so.
 
What I was thinking is that there would be a hall of fame with every user who won, and a custom-made trophy beside their name. But say every second/third week, a prize is given out. We can build on the idea when the time comes. As for donators, I don't mind donating a few Pokemon, I have heaps.

I think judges would the the more appropriate approach, because newbies could vote for whichever one looks coolest, albeit it may be poorly made. If we end up with a lack of judges we could switch to voting however.

On another note, I'm working on a fucking MASSIVE Koffing Pixel-over. I'm talking gigantic here. Been working on it for hours so far.
