I'm pretty sure it's not possible because the egg changes person that means the ID/SID also changes.

If you are person A, and want to give it to person B. I think(?) you would have to enter person Bs ID/SID into the RNG reporter, make an egg on person A then give it to person B. But I'm not certain.
 
I want to use RNG to capture a "random" shiny. Just to see if I can hit the right delay and stuff. If I'm standing in the grass, and just want to use sweet scent, what frame should I aim for?
(still not sure if I get this right... gotta try something new, tired of shiny-breeding.)
 
You're going to need to find a spread first, one that would appear as shiny in your game due to your ID+SID combination. I'd suggest using Wichu's Pokerng program.
 
Each time you make a save by the Day Care man to collect your egg, you need to calibrate to find out what frame you start on. This will ensure you do the correct number of Journal Flips. If the frame is hopping around, it's likely there are offscreen NPCs affecting you, and you should wait a few seconds and try saving again.

I get that... But what frame? So I don't have to do flips and stuff... What would be the lowest possible frame.
Does the frame advance before or after the battle when you use sweet scent?

Um, that is entirely dependent on what spreads you have.

You advance frames before using Sweet Scent.

@bizar: It might be your browser, screen resolution, or something else. The website loads correctly on the computer I'm using. Are you inputting the information you're using correctly?

Then search for things on Frame 1 or 2 (depending on whether you are getting a legend or sweet scenting).
 
I am trying to find my initial seed in Platinum, but when I enter the data in the Seed Finder, it always answers "No reasonable initial seed found"

On the same exact note...

I'm walking a budy of mine through calibration (he doesn't have the internet). He sent me a list of 10 SRs and Catches, but when I went to plug all the data in it kept giving me that same message "check time and date". Well. I asked him, and he's 100% sure that the date on the DS is what he gave me, and that the times were correct too. I tried adding 12 to the hours incase he somehow had AM and PM mixed up (don't think you actually can though) and I moved the minutes ahead and behind by 1 incase he mixed them up, but all 10 still give me the message. :/

Should I have him try again and just BE ABSOLUTELY ADAMANTLY CERTAIN of the time, date, nature, characteristics, and stats?
 
They are stationary, Method-J Pokemon with a Monster Frame of one, so yes (unless you count Giratina in the Torn World).
 
Does that annoying swimmer on route 226 that keeps spinning advances my RNG? I'm trying to capture a horsea, but I keep messing my frame...And I know I'm not messing up with the journal flips >->'
 
No, because on the first page says that NPCs that have a fixed pattern doesn't increase the frames. And he does have a fixed pattern (spin around).
But I'll try that later.
Does it make any difference if I fish on the water or on land?

Make sure you do it without international parents, too. If you use foreign parents, it will mess you up (trust me, I found that out the hard way).
 
I think I've found a bug D:
I'm trying to capture a Naughty Horsea (Naughty...Hummm) and I'm trying this spread right here:

I'm at this seed because I'm using save states.
Since I'm having a REALLY HARD TIME getting the right frame, I'm using save states.
Sometimes I capture this Horsea:
Jolly - 30/5/30/10/9/10

And RNG doesn't seem to find it's IV spread on my seed D:

My ID: 61833
My SID: 40800
 
You should check the nature of your synchronizer.
