Most Generation PRNG Help / Information

I'm having a little problem with the RNG reporter.

Both the PokeRNG and Wild Eep's ID finder say that:
ID 0
SID 47390

Make . . .
122607834F c5ee7cf6 (TIMID, ability 0) 31/14/31/31/31/31 (Seed: 010b042f Frame: 17) HP DRAGON 70 !!!

. . . be shiny

However, it's not showing up as shiny in thr RNG reporter, so I'm just a little confussed. I'm thinking that 0 as the ID is making it glitch a little, or something. Just wanted to clear it up before I played through a file just to find that it doesn't work.
Shows up in mine, did you forget to put that ID/SID combo on the RNG Reporter or something?

Is anyone else having trouble with trying to find the delay in the ID Finder? I just downloaded it, but I can't determine my delay (the right side of the program). I can get the other two to work just fine, but it keeps giving me an error after a few seconds into running the search.

EDIT: 400th post!!

What range of delays did you put in? If you put in too wide a range, it splodes. I put in, say, 4000-6000, 6000-8000 and so on.

I put it in correctly. I've been checking and I checked it again. I am so confussed. But itf it shows up in the other two and it shows up in your reporter, it's probably okay, still, it's bothersome.

I believe it would be....but are you really gonna go for a delay of 45113?

Oups scratch that. ITs 1062

i'll try i guess thanks

cant uninstall it need an admin's permission so forget it >.> i also downladed teh RNG but i dont know my secret ID

If you want to RNG abuse for a shiny you're going to need to know it. If you want to abuse for IVs you don't need it.

There are four ways to find it out

* If you already have a randomly caught shiny, you can calculate it
* If you already have a bunch of chained shinies, you can calculate
* If you have a cheating device, you can find you
* If you trade any one of your Pokemon to someone else with a cheating device, they can find it for you. Ask in simple request/questions thread in the wifi forum.

My reporter has it as a delay of 1061. >.>;;

Seed: 10b042f

Yeah, that's 1062. Or 1061 depending on 2009, 2010.

EDIT: Yeah, that was looking odd to me. <.<;; I just wish it showed up as shiny on my reporter. It's really odd that it doesn't.

EDIT, TAKE 2: It seems to be glitch at 0, because I put in the ID of 1, which should have the same shinies, and it came up as shiny. And I checked if anything at all would be shiny with the ID as 0 and nothing, which just doesn't happen.

Yeah I made a mistake...dunno what I put in for it to show a delay of 45113
Yeah Id be a little worried myself if it didn't show up on mine...but showed up on others.

EDIT: Uh actually with that spread in my RNG Reporter....everything shows up as shiny...and I checked in the shiny box...
EDIT 2: Nevermind I know what I did wrong.

And if you saw my second edit, I'm sure it was just a glitch with the reporter.

Odd, though. Oh well. Time to play through SS again. Fun. >.>;;

hi guys i'm trying to get this spread in emerald
11355 (3:09:25)
31 A 30 26 B B

however i've been getting this spread's IVs (13 31 16 22 29 15)
my parent A has 31 attack and B has 31 sp. def/speed

and I can't find it on the rng reporter can someone help me please? PM me back or post here
thank you

i wanna know so that I can adjust my time and get it right

I've finally found some matches for the IVs

Frame 42! And that only if you got your parents the wrong way round...

Frame 8227S. This seems most likely, if your timing was badly off.

The rest are all over 50 minutes.

Edit: In RNG Reporter, if you enter your baby Pokemon's IVs into the boxes in the main window you can search for them, since it's done so that As and Bs in the spreads match all IVs. Set starting frame 0 and max results 999999 and it should work. I didn't realise it would until I tried.

When trying to catch Pokemon that require GBA Games in the GBA Slot do you automatically subtract 1 from your frame? And say if there was a pokemon of encounter slot 3 and the pokemon that requires a GBA Gane is slot 3 does the GBA pokemon automatically take that Slot?

It doesn't show up at 0 either, I was doing it wrong, (using SEED to TIME with the shiny box checked) it would show, but I never knew SEED to TIME didn't check for shinies, but when I put I putted in the main page of the RNG reporter...it didn't show up either.

But it does still show up for the other 7. Which means it should work. I'm thinking it's just a glitch.

EDIT: And it seems to come in Bold. Yummy.

I already mis-Pandora-ed once a couple days ago, I decided to check this one more throughly. Glad I did. Even if it drove me insane.

Someone should poke Mingot about this, or something. Looks like the reporter thinks that no ID was put in, not an ID of 0. It's not really that big a deal, but it's still something.

EDIT:@Cantab: I was just thinking the same thing.

Sorry if I get my terms and stuff wrong. Hopefully this will be understandable.

I'm trying to receive a flawless VGC wonder card weavile. I'm going for

Seed 0A140262
Frame 26
31 / 31 / 31 / 9 / 31 / 31

To get the seed I'm using the date 9/19/2009 (my birthday lol), the time 20:36:59 and 601 delay. I'm receiving the weavile at the pokemart outside the battle frontier where there's some old woman who doesn't move and a clown.

I have no trouble hitting the seed but whenever I do the clown waits for AGES before moving and when I collect the weavile it turns out that the frame is way over 26 (always 33 or something). I think I'm doing everything right; the game starts on the journal and I flip into my 'Sneasel was caught' pages 12 times and I wait for the clown to move once which should hit 26. Does something else advance the frame in the massive time it takes for the clown to move or am I just doing something stupid? Would changing the time I go for make the clown move earlier or should I take my business to another pokemart? This just seemed like the best one.

My advice is set up shop again. If you need to advance an odd number of frames (like from 1 to 26, which is 25), I suggest you release a runner and journal flips only. NPC movements are too much of a bitch to use nicely, unless I've missed a new development.

Does anyone know where the documentation for RNG calls for Emerald (No Splits) and Emerald (Splits) are? I've looked, but can only find documentation for DPPt and Emerald (Alternate) Breeding.

I could just give you mine. Same spread. :P

Still need an answer.....

If you take a clock to the lone NPC's movement, I think you'll notice that when it moves, it moves whenever the next second hits. I'm betting it advances the RNG once every second. (Note that it still advances the RNG even when it doesn't move.)

Can't really test this any further right now, I'm doing real biology research. :/

EDIT: The upside to this is that if you're timing the NPC, you can do coin flips in the meantime so you're not doing hundreds of coin flips in vain.

Yes and yes. The GBA cart changes your delay from even to odd or vice versa. And yes, the GBA insert only poke replaces the normal pokemon found in it's slot.

This is not accurate at all. Unfrezable NPC's will not move at any specific linear rate such as exactly once per second. Trust me, I spent hours trying to catch an Absol by "timing" an NPC and it never worked out.

The best thing thing to do for an odd frame is to release a runner like bearsfan said and then just do the appropriate number of flips. You have to be fast to make sure that nobody moves while you go from the menu to talking to the green guy.

Did you think movement alone = RNG advance? Because NPCs still advance the RNG even when they don't move. In addition to having a movement event, NPCs also have a "do nothing" event. This is probably what threw off your counts.

If you put a timer to the movements of an NPC inside, say, a Pokemart, you'll notice that when a movement event DOES occur, it happens whenever another second passes. So whenever there isn't movement, that's probably just another "do nothing" event.
