No. The amount healed by Leftovers is the same as the amount healed by Black Sludge. Only use on a Poison Pokemon if Item clause is in effect.

About the RMT forum, now that we have 2 boards, are we allowed to have say 1 OU team still active, and then post a Suspect/UU/Ubers/etc RMT on the "Other Teams" board?? If not, how do I close my original one??

Right, here's my team:

Lead Swampert-P
DD Salamence-M
Scarf Starmie (w/Rapid Spin)-S
CB Scizor-P
Life orb Latias-S
Resttalk Machamp-P

I have difficulties against stuff like Lucario and Scizor, can anyone offer me help on what I should change to make this team sturdier? If you see another weakness, please point it out. Its Bulky Offense, btw.

How do you get Scizor to have Bullet Punch without cheatng in Platinum? Is there a specific breeding combination or is the only way to get it to cheat?

you still need to wait a minimum of two weeks in between RMTs. Once two weeks is up, post your other RMT in the proper forum, that is, if you still want advice on it.

@ztang: bullet punch is a heart scale move, which means you need to give a heart scale to the move relearned in pastoria city, then he will let you teach your scizor BP.

Does your pokemon need to be at lvl 100 to know whether it's IV's are ranging from 0-31?

To contradict the previous answer, NO. If you have a bunch of Rare Candies, you can use Metalkid's IV calculator, http://www.metalkid.info/Pokemon/Calculators/IV.aspx
Enter stats for one level and click calculate. It will give you a range of possible IVs, and also say 'next useful level' by them. Rare Candy up to that level, and enter stats again. Repeat, and it should eventually reach a definite answer, quite often around level 30. It can also use the Hidden Power type (attack a Kecleon) and Characteristic, for better determination.

There's an easier way to determine Hidden Power if you're playing Pokemon Platinum. A guy in the Game Corner prize house (right of the Game Corner) will tell you the Hidden Power type of your Pokemon (unless if it can't learn Hidden Power.) I haven't confirmed this for HGSS, though.

Hack checks. But to use them you need to get the Pokemon's data onto a PC.
Besides that, you can simply check the legality. Does it have an illegal moveset, an impossible catch location, egg moves and a ball other than a regular Poke Ball, an IV/nature spread that doesn't exists, etc.

Is there anyway in telling if a pokemons is hacked.

If it's a "legal hack," which means that the Pokemon could have been obtained without hacking (no matter how small the chance), no. If it's something like a Spiritomb with Wonder Guard, it's immediately obvious.

So here's my story. I've been a member of Smogon, since the release of Diamond and Pearl, back in '07. I posted in the wifi thread regularly, and traded frequently with alot of the users from back then. Then, I just kind of dropped out of Pokemon all together. (Blame Xbox 360 and achievements >_>)

I still played, but I neglected the site, and haven't traded with anyone since. I've got my Pearl cart here, full of about 6-8 boxes of pokemon I've obtained and traded with from the users here. I requested a name change back in March (I used to be Eruido), because I was going to come back to trade and battle with Platinum. Never happened. (damn you xbox!) But now that Gold and Silver are being remade, I am DEFINATLY getting back into pokemon with a vengence.

What I'm asking basically, is to have all the pokemon I have be examined for legitimacy. I don't want to be blissfully unaware that I have fake/hacked pokemon. I don't have anything I can offer in return, and I'd rather not redistribute anything to anyone without permission, even if I don't know or remember who they might be anymore.

Is anyone availible, willing to help?

Oh, so Manaphy has been moved back to uber because you want to do some more testing
If i'd know that, I would have been more nice about it
Please accept my apologies

Do I have to have just joined Smogon to be eligible for Battling 101? Because I've been here for a few months now, and my competivitive skills aren't the worst, but try telling that to all the people that (constructivly) critized my team. They're acting like I just joined last week! (from what I've seen)

Maybe 252 Hp, 252 Atk, 4 Def. I'd just make sure to max out Attack and HP.

I have a question of my own also. Why do some movesets use 508 out of the max 510 EVs, and others use all 510/510? Is there a special reason to not use the extra 2 EVs?

Those last two EVs don't actually affect anything (4 EVs make up 1 point). It all depends on the set writer, and how much of a perfectionist they are.

It's supposed to be 4 EVs equals 1 stat point, meaning the remaining 2 EVs would accomplish nothing. But I'm not sure that still holds after taking natures into account.
