Yeah I would have to agree.
Too many Kyogre/Rain dance teams will be up.
So T-tar is definitely not a good idea.
edit: also T-tar(sandstream) + Rayquaza(Airlock) in the same team? Double battles are held..

Two nice videos:

65-35133-29699
Notable stuff: Lvl48 Mismagius, Skill Swap, Cherrim, Giratina-O, Scary Face, a +6 attack Ho-Oh in sun

60-53941-01032
Notable stuff: Toxicroak doing well, Selfdestruct Mewtwo, cool mindgames at the end.
I don't understand the numbers. How do you watch these videos?

EDiT: Oh, thanks KingEmpoleon. I had forgotten about the battle recorder and was thinking it was online somewhere.

If you wanna watch, heres a video of a 2010 TR team with Kyogre.

That was okay, but better predictions could have been made. I think I'd rather try to work around the weather than with it, maybe negate it. I've been considering T-tar because, to put it simply, he'd balance out my team (and he'd actually work with my other three selected pokemon)

Is it required that we have six pokemon chosen? I don't really have any concern seeing as how I'd be using the same four pokemon regardless. I heard that the final battle was using all six pokemon, but I don't really think that's true.

You have a team of six but you only use 4 pokes per battle. And you don't use all six pokemon in the finals.

Yeah, I only brought 4 to Nationals and it really sucked when I made it to the top 16 and had very little means of switching my team up other than moving items around, while most others could. :( Make sure to bring 6!

If you are really bent on using only 4 Pokemon, just fit the other two slots with random Pokes so that you technically have 6. It's always safe to have 6, just in case.

So I've been experimenting for this and right now, I really love this combo i've been working with.

Latios@ Lum Berry
Levitate
Timid
Ev's: 252 Spe 252 SpA 4 HP
- Draco Meteor
- Protect
- Grass Knot
- Hidden Power Fire

Quagsire@ Rindo Berry
Damp
impish
Ev's: 252 HP 96 Atk 160 Def
- Earthquake
- Haze
- Recover
- Yawn

Basically i get to fire off Draco meteor like no tomorrow and then take no recoil because of Haze. it's been working nicely but I havent tested it against any real ubers :x

Another combo I morecently thought of is Ludicolo + Abomasnow which makes for a very good anti-weather combo. :

Ludicolo@ Life Orb
Swift Swim
Timid
Ev's: 252 SpA 252 Spe 4 HP
- Blizzard
- Fake Out
- SolarBeam
- Surf

Abomasnow@ Occa Berry
Snow Warning
Jolly
Ev's: 252 Spe 252 Atk 4 HP
- Wood Hammer
- Protect
- Earthquake
- Ice Shard

Now I haven't tested that combo, but on paper, it appears that it will work very nicely and get the job done.

Sorry, but IIRC, Haze does not work on your team mates, so the Draco Meteor thing wont work...

I already tested it lol, Haze works on all currently active pokemon. You might be thinking Mist..

EDIT: Beat to it :x

So I made a account to just say how much fun I am haveing with the new rules. Honestly OU now feels like a new game, feels very fresh. I hope others are haveing fun with these rules too, and hope they come to US.

I actually like the new meta (kinda getting used to it myself)
Here in Japan, the new meta with all the "ubers" is stabilizing
It isn't as diverse and flexible but with great offensive powers added to the new meta, and many different things it's quite intense throughout the whole game.
I love it :D

Ok, in case you guys aren't aware, pokemonvgc.com and go-pokemon.com have revamped into a brand new pokemon.com! It has a video game section, trainer points, new TCG info, and a bunch of new stuff. Unfortunately, it's really slow in loading, so I haven't poked around yet on the video game pages. Maybe the rules are on there somewhere!

I am going to guess that the trainer points are linked to a similar club like in Japan. They have the Daisuki club in Japan where members get limited edition merchandise, etc. I wouldn't be surprised if this was very similar.

TPCi really did go all out on the revamp for Pokemon.com. I actually wouldn't be surprised if they really did try to start a League system (Though if I remember correctly, there was/is a system for the TCG that's pretty much a league where you could score some cool stuff if you win a lot).

Yeah, the new site looks pretty awesome. So far they added a function where you can see the first few episodes of pokemon. The new site has a tab for video games with some information about Worlds 2010 and HGSS. I'll bet they'll be adding information about the VGC tournaments and location real soon.

Game Championship Series

Over the last several years, Pokémon video game tournaments have grown ever larger. Last year, the first official Pokémon Video Game World Championships were held in San Diego, California, and they were an amazing success! Players from all over the world came to show off their gaming skills. But the event was more than just about competing; everyone had a great time meeting and playing with other people who share their passion for Pokémon!
The Pokémon Video Game Championships will fire up again in Spring 2010. Be sure to check back later for more details on the tournament series!

The new site is nice, but unfortunately, it doesn't have the rules :(

Also, I found this video on the Global Terminal hilarious:

This is why you should PP Max all your moves.
