We already have an information thread (it's a sticky) that is for pure information, and this one is for discussion of 5th generation in general. I don't understand what you want?

Because theres actually some damn good posts in this thread that nobody sees becase of all the theory/complaints.

Eh, Maybe I'm too hasty on this, maybe once we get a respectable amount of information from 5th gen, though, it may warrent some actual discussion over theory.

Yeah I know.. I just felt like ranting.. Oh and don't forget the Heatran design. I still have nightmares.. Dialga, Giratina looks alright but then again they looked and feel more 3D.
Heatran's a bit lame, but I think the single UGLIEST Pokemon is Salamence. Fat body, splayed-out legs, neck that comes out at a peculiar angle, and wings that look like glued-on cardboard.

As for the new Pokemon - prevo is way too similar to Shinx. Fully evolved form is almost identical to a fanart based on the silhouette. I'd really hoped to be surprised, so I'm a little disappointed.

Mono-dark typing is kind of cool I think. There are very few mono-Dark's around. Also, given that typing, it absolutely has to be OU material. If it ends up Uber it will almost certainly be an 'NU of Uber', with Darkrai being better.

The only thing that makes me think it's fake is that they revealed the pre-evolved form. When have they ever unveiled the entire evolution line at once?

^Hasn't it been confirmed real?

Anyway, I like the looks of this new pokemon. I was actually expecting it to be closer to Lucario's color scheme but this scheme works too. The mascara is a little off-putting though.

No Pokémon has ever gained a Bug, Electric, Fire, or Rock typing through evolution.

Wrong.

Slug -> Snail.

Unless it gets better stats, a better movepool, and better abilities than Darkrai, in which case who knows what will happen?

Anyway, I'm expecting a big part of this next game to feature more Doubles cooperation, either between NPC's or via local/wifi connections with another player. They'll probably have a singles mode akin to D/P, in which you have a few areas where you're required to pair up with an NPC. Those areas would be normal if you choose the doubles route, in which you'd go through the overworld with a second person, having all battles be doubles.

Zoroaku?

Surely I'm not the only one thinking this.

It's Zoroark. Not Zoroaku.

Bulbapedia said so.

And "Zorro" is Spanish for Fox. It's where that Zorro got his name, and it's where Zorua and Zoroark get THEIR names.

And heck, I like the new mon. GO GAMEFREAK!

...Even if it just dashed all our Mightyena evolution hopes to the ground...

The pre-vo is pronounced Zo-row-uh (I'm pretty sure) and the werewolf is Zo-Roark (is in Roar or Roark the gym leader).

This is one of the coolest and most well-designed Pokemon I have ever seen. Now excuse me, I have to clean some bricks up off the floor.

it definetly looks like it has tons of potential. I'm guessing its a mixed sweeper with decent speed, avarage defenses, low hp. The pokemon is said to be able to disguise himself so maybe it has a new ability. Just sad that lucario might be able to walk all over this thing.

I would have much preferred Dark/Fighting. Resisting SR, 4x resisting Dark, neutrality to bug, and having one hell of an offensive typing would've been great.

It might still get a second type. Don't give up hope. I find it interesting that these guys are listed as evil in their descriptions. Perhaps this guy is the anti-lucario? As bad as Lucario is good?

I wonder why they started off by showing us a Dark pokemon? I haven't really been on board the "new pokemon" wagon until the last minute with most pokemon games, but don't they normally start with the starter pokemon?

nope
recently the movies have shown one of their "other" pokemons such as lucario and this one here

It looks terrible
It looks like its defences are terrible
It looks like a Dark type
Since I don't expect another Ghost/Dark type,
Mach Punch/Vacuum Wave anyone?

looks is a preference and personally i love it
with the huge hair and what not it may even look as if it would have good defenses or decent.
it is a dark type
a priority would be nice yep :D

A Dark-type poke has nothing to do with all those Close Combat users out there.

Btw, it seems more a digimon than a pokemon... Game Freak, what have you done to Pokémon? T.T

I personally like how this turned out. It feels like GF is trying to bring new stuff to the table, but re-rail on their old tracks all the same with Zoroark.

I like it. I don't know what you guys are complaining about.

Mono-Dark is a nice type. If this guy gets SD/NP + nice attacking moves, everything's fine. Dark/Fighting would add CC as STAB-Move, but it looks like it gets CC anyways. SD, Crunch/Sucker Punch / Pursuit, CC, Ice/Thunder/Fire Fang / Signature Move / 5th Gen Move / whatever with a nice Atk-Stat and Speed -> almost perfect =D

I really like this pkmn, and from now on, I think, that the 5th Gen-Pkmn will be better-looking than the ones from D/P/Pt.

yeah, the pre-evo reminds me of Shinx '_' Nevertheless - it could have been worse, I see no problem in these 2 =D
