Jirachi event coming to Gamestop locations

Should be at every gamestop. This is the one with Draco Meteor? Hmm. Wonder what I could do with it or if it's even worth SRing for.

Any Calm Mind Jirachi would be a good choice, and a mixed Expert Belt/Scarfer would work as well for Ubers.

CM would be an okay set, but I can't see Draco Meteor replacing any of the standard sets' moves, so I'm thinking a mixed Scarfer? I dunno, maybe try for Naive and Give Iron Head and the likes and fit Draco Meteor in somewhere? Eh, it's worth playing around with.
 
Actually, for Gamestop events, IVs are never set; however, the nature might be since all the Pichus given out last week were all Jolly.
 
I doubt they'll set any one nature for Jirachi, since there's so much it can do, much like Arceus.

I can see a MixScarf set with Draco Meteor, Iron Head, Fire Punch/Grass Knot/HiddenPower, Trick.

It's actually particularly useful in Ubers, actually. Jirachi can revenge kill Palkia and Rayquaza with Draco Meteor (when slightly damaged) and with Iron Head Darkrai/Mewtwo/Lati@s. It certainly has its uses.

@ Jack: Well this is probably going to be the only Jirachi event, so I was not suggesting actually using Draco Meteor, but to use this event to get a CM Jirachi with CM / Flash Cannon / Thunderbolt / Grass Knot, or whatever other moves you'd like. You can easily get two-unless you don't have multiple games.

So far, Bulbapedia and a lot of sites have been right about Draco Meteor, but no one has mentioned about what secret it unlocks when traded in HG/SS. We know that Pikachu-colored Pichu gives you access to Spiky-Eared Pichu, but what about Draco Meteor Jirachi?

The only reason the nature was fixed is to retain Pichu's shininess. Nature is determined by the PID (which controls nature and gender, but not IV's with wonder-card Pokemon), and shininess is determined by PID, Trainer ID, and most importantly the SID.

I, among with any competitive battler, was pretty disappointed with Jolly, as I'd rather use a mixed-attacker Pikachu than anything else (to be honest, I'd rather use no Pikachu than anything else). Does anyone know if I can evolve this Pichu and still unlock spiky ear Pichu in HGSS?
 
I think they are handling this franchise in a very frustrating way. They are selling these games outside the countries where you can get these events too. I don't really care about this one since you can get a Jirachi no matter where you live, but I won't be able to play the event in HGSS. Pretty dumb since I pay the same price as everyone else, and there is a nice technology that allows everyone to have access, they should use it more.

At least, make it available in every GS. I have like 4 of them less than an hour away.

Scarf Draco Meteor Jirachi could have some uses. Draco Meteor could take a decent dent out of some of it's usual switch-ins, such as Gyarados. Then again, getting locked into a non stab move with decreasing BP is never good. Still doesn't hit Heatran either...
Too bad it wasn't Earth Power, eh?
 
I hope it will be released on wifi for us other players to get, as it does unlock something something in HG/SS and the game wouldn't be very good if you couldn't go to any of the event places -.-

No? Please, correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm fairly certain that when the event was first shown that the (japanese) official site said that the event will still work even with PCPikachu or PCRaichu.
 
What's with: "Content Distribution may be made over Nintendo WiFi Connection?" Does this mean it will later be available through general WiFi and not just Gamestop WiFi hotspots?

Only Gamestop Wi-FI Hotspots using Nintendo's Wi-Fi in DS.

Also, Update comrades, contrary to the announcement that Jirachi will be released this Saturday, The truth is the event is CURRENTLY UP on all participating Gamestop Locations, I've got two and this is what I've observed so far.

Jirachi
>Default lvl 5
>Draco Meteor confirmed
>Nature is Random
>IVs are Random
>Cherish Ball confirmed
>Classic Ribbon Confirmed
