Most Generation PRNG Help / Information

Yea, but I didn't complete the E4, so i'd have a problem with catching it, besides, it would ruin my frame :/ How can I check the responses for my seed?

checking by responses atm would require you to hit your seed in the first place and know you did by catching a pokemon, checking its stats/IVs and putting the information into seed finder. Then check your pokemon's responses and note them. So pretty much its only useful once you've hit your seed at least once and you can just use the expressions every other time to check as opposed to continually catching a pokemon.

I gotz a question now!

On route 47, where Kyogre is, is there a way to stop the hiker from moving?
He's the first person you see when you enter route 47.

I'm trying to RNG a shiny egg in Heart Gold. I'll get a shiny hatch on a low frame, say 145; can I use the force egg code 144 times and collect a shiny 145th? Is that how it works?

You're going to have to collect 144 eggs. Why not download the new RNG reporter and find seeds that only have 10 eggs?

Avoid force egg codes, they do not advance the egg PID RNG, nor do they generate egg PIDs normally.

If Im using an Action Replay to determine a pokemon's ivs can I go into the AR menu and boot the game when its at the next minute? Is it the same as booting it from the main menu?

Well thats interesting, when I RNG'd raikou last week I always started the radio with a station tuned and it was fine. Strange.

Hm, I guess it might have to do with the radio's inconsistency. On my seed, the frame advanced when I switched from upper-right (where it started when the game loaded) to lower-right.

I successfully RNG'ed for Ho-oh today. For anyone else looking to do it, this spread is a good one to use:
PID: a777c735 (ADAMANT, ability 1) 31/31/31/17/31/31 (Seed: c20b0af4 Frames - 1: 41, J (synch): 16, J (no synch): 22, K (synch): 2, K (no synch): 40) HP DARK 59
One thing, the times are from 11-12, be sure to pick one that's 11:59. Buena's password plays at this time and you want the goldenrod theme station for consistent advancement, so pick a time that's at 11:59 and wait until 12 (that's when her show is off the radio) to advance the frame.

If anybody has defeated the Red Gyarados, I would like to confirm 2 things: 1, does it re-appear after E4, and 2, will the radio method of frame advancement work?

In my recent capture of an impish red gyarados on frame 1, this confirms that the chained shiny method works and best when using a non-synch in lead as I usually have to capture another pokemon to properly determine what seed I hit. For those after better spreads, my recommendation is to take note of your ID/SID, use Wichu's PokeRNG program to find desireable spreads regardless of nature, then use the RNG Reporter with your ID/SID to determine which spread comes up with desireable nature which is usually a -sp.atk nature at best.

I have also confirmed that using a GBA slot for switching odd/even delays does work with my DS Lite for HG/SS.

thats interesting because mine refuses to change despite inserting or removing a game I tried it with emerald, sapphire, and LG none of them did anything.

This sucks cuz my DS broke I got a DSi so no GBA slot for me. Is there any other way you know of for switching delays?
Nexus told me this method and I can confirm it works. Move to the lower part of the starting menu screen and then back up. This will only work for higher delays as it will take some time to do that.

Anyone know the actual monster frame for Lati@s, cause I heard it was 3 someone else said it was 9, the front page says it's unknown so I'm confused right now.

I'm breeding in DPPt, and I've gotten to the point where I'm selecting a spread with the RNG Reporter. I've found several suitable spreads, but they all land on even frames. I found that my starting frame was 7, so I can't hit them by using only the journal.

I'm wondering if re-saving the game in front of the DayCare man can alter my 7, making it an even number. Or am I always going to be stuck with 7 and/or an odd number?

Have 5 Pokemon on you and take 128 steps before talking to the daycare man, the frames should advance by 5

There are NPCs out there and also it seems to be rather inconsistant.
While you leave the house it can advance from 2-3 ( I don't know on what shi actually depends)
talking to Steven Stone will bring you again a 3 and after he shows you the pic of one of the Latis again 3.
9 is the most common number you'd probably get there, but it can vary, so RNGing this is pretty hard, your best bet for RNGing that would be to wait for the distribution of the Enigma Crystal (gee I hope that happens soon)

Re-saving works, I tend to resave until I get a frame below 5, but that's just me.

No, bad idea. There are so many random moving NPCs that you'd end up with advances some random amount that would probably be close to 50 or so. Re save, don't do this.

Well, I ain't going to torture myself with massive luck based RNGing, so I will wait for that event. I assume the Latis will be Method K since they'll become stationary, correct?
