If a Pokemon had Pokerus and now has the little face on its profile, it means it's under the effects of Pokerus but can't spread it... right?

may i ask something ?

In pokemon platinum, we can always change our trainer look in Unnion room at oreburgh city pokemon center. How about pokemon HG SS ??

I'm curious to know if hacks such as EV/IV checker, Quick Egg Hatch, and Max BP codes can be detected by the hack checker at the VGC?

Because I've read somewhere that using the AR triggers some sort of flag in Pokemon HG/SS that makes it easy to tell if the game was tampered with and I'm afraid that I might have to start my Pokemon SS file all over with no AR.

I'm curious as well.

I have my 'real' cartridge (SoulSilver), and the one I use for breeding (Platinum). I don't touch AR or anything close to it on SS, but I do transfer Pokemon over from the Platinum that uses IV Check, is this going to flag anything?

Also, in terms of teams, which Pokemon would you team up with the following, in OU:

Jolteon (Not sure which)
Lucario
Roserade
Starmie
Togekiss

I'm just doing breeding projects of the Pokemon I like the best right now, and trying to see if I can end up with a decent team composed of as many of them as possible!

Would a Roar/Yawn/Focus Punch combo work well with Swampert?

I don't understand why you would use Focus Punch, but Roar itself is good enough for shuffling and phazing the opponent, so Yawn is unneeded unless you really need a status on your team, in which case it could be worked in.

Yawn and Focus Punch combo well together because Yawn makes them switch which allows you to Focus Punch but if they stay in then they are still statused

Using a Fast Ball on a Zapdos in HGSS means the ball has a catch rate of 4x, right?
Can Zapdos flee? If not, then no. Fast Ball works better on Pokemon that flee.

EDIT: according to Bulbapedia, they changed this in HGSS. Now it's based on the speed stat. Works better on Pokemon with base speed of 100 or more. So yes. It will have the increased catch rate.

I posted this question last week but never got a response:

In HGSS, when breeding with the power items, if each parent holds a power item (so as to pass along a specific stat) will any of the other 4 IVs NOT influenced by power items be passed directly from the parents, or will they always be random?

1-3 stats will get passed from the parents, and I believe this is true even with power items. So, yes. More often than not, there will be two additional stats that get passed down from the parents.

Asking yet again:

Odd question here: I've been playing in the Battle Frontier with my new Surfing Pikachu, and she's quite the powerhouse. But as a Pikachu she's hardly bulky, and there's some things she just can't take out. What would be some good Pokemon (preferably not OU) to complement her? I had a quick look at NU analyses for ideas and Miltank stood out to me, but I don't know how good an idea that is.

This is more for Battle Frontier and maybe PBR use, so I'm not after something to use support stuff to help Pikachu, I'm looking for something that can cover the gaps in Pikachu's offense.

On another note, does anyone here know about the HG/SS additions to this? Or is this news to people here?

EDIT: Also, has a conclusion been reached with the effects of Power items on both parents while breeding? Do they both work or not?

What can't a max speed Timid natured Roserade w/ Choice Scarf outspeed?

I'm thinking of using my Leafstorm/Sleep Powder/Aromoatherapy/Toxic Spikes mage as a hit and runner, to maintain its life so it can heal other party members when it can.

For some reason I can't gain access to the Pokemon Movesets and Analysis pages here on Smogon. It keeps saying "HTTP 500 Internal Server Error" or "The Website Cannot Display the Page."

Anybody know when it will be fixed?

Don't you worry about it. Go to Google, look up "Smogon (Pokémon name) Analysis", and when you find the result for the Smogon Analysis, click the link that says "cached" at the bottom of the result.
Example links:

It's still not working for some reason it just redirects me to the movesets and analysis on the forums itself rather than just on Smogon.com like when you type the name of a Pokemon on the search box above the Main Page.

Anybody know why it's not working? :(

Sorry, do the same thing but don't include the word "Analysis". I was just taught to do it that way but it works better if you don't include that word

Are you absolutely sure? If you knock them out in battle they respawn upon beating the Elite Four. But I doubt this is the case if you catch and then release them.

The game autosaves after beating the Elite Four. If Lugia doesn't reappear after you caught and released it, you'll have to start a new game to get Lugia.
Hmm. Quite the situation ... I can wait until someone else can absolutely confirm that catching and releasing legendaries then beating the E4 respawns them.
