I can't believe that... So, if I come third or fourth in Birmingham, England, I have to pay hundreds of pounds to get to America, stay there for a night or two, just to compete... That'll suck. Especially as I wouldn't be able to go and try my luck in France to finish 1st or 2nd at a much cheaper cost...

Guess I have to get to the final if I want to go to Worlds. I won't be able to afford it if I don't... So, if I come third or fourth, I'll give my invite to someone else (if I can).

It is going to be really difficult to know what is hacked and what isn't, as me and my Brother do so many trades. I mean all his Pokemon are legitimate and everything, but I'm not sure about his items. How do you think my 10 year of old brother will feel if he is disqualified because the choice scarf he uses is hacked

May 29th? In the middle of my exams. Fat chance of getting up there :( although it is half term... Hmm... Might go, might not.

But the prizes are pretty good. *drools* First place please? :P

There's still a limit of 768 seniors first come first served.

Don't the rules say 256 seniors and 128 juniors? In the FAQ it says:

"Competitor slots are limited to 128 for the Junior Division (born in 1998 or later) and 256 for the Senior Division (born in 1997 or earlier)."

Well, at least they doubled the senior slots. Might be enough for the european qualifiers... Except for Spain... And with the first come, first served method, I predict that at the 19th of June Madrid's streets will be painted with red (and considering what happened last year, I might actually be right about this :P )...

Well, as a student in Austin, I may or may not go to the Dallas one, as I have class, that I might or might not be able to get out of.

As a note to you Europeans, it takes me longer to get to any of the other regionals, aside from the Dallas one, then it would take for someone in London, England to get to the Lyon, France one, by 7 hours.

I hate leaving Texas to go somewhere else, as it takes so damn long.

I see now. The FAQ I linked is the european qualifier one, and the one you linked is the USA regionals one. Looks like they are opening up more slots for american regionals than for european qualifiers... But, as I said, considering last year, the only place in Europe that will actually fill up is Madrid (I don't know if the Berlin and Paris junior qualifiers filled up last year, maybe someone can inform us? It would be funny if they also had London junior qualifier level of attendance :P).

EDIT: LOL, too many people posting :P ...

Same. I wont participate but I might go along to support my brother. We can stay at our grandparents who live 15 minutes away and get their early. He's 10, and is actually surprisingly good for a 10 year old. He understands the concept of EVs IVs and can battle very well.

I'm definately going to the qualifier in Germany, as it's only 1 1/2 hour away from me and it only costs me like 12 Euros :P

It could be also possible for me to got the the France one, but at the moment I highly doubt it, because it would cost too much for me =/

I like the idea of 256 spots and NO lottery, but it sucks that only the finalists are getting paid trips so it will be pretty difficult for the Europens, especially the Germans, because there are lots of good players.

That's interesting...
They've separated the last chance qualifier and the National championships this year. I guess the lcq serves as the Midwest regional.

Anyway, Indianapolis it is.

I'm an SF resident going to the SF area qualifier. I do have a team completely ready to go (even though I'm debating adding alternates) and would love to battle anyone who isn't going to the SF area event...

Oh my god i can't believe what they have done: THEY DISCARDED ITALY AS USUAL!

I'm so pissed off, they even did the announce in italian!
I was willing to get a game i didn't want to buy, i've awaited for so long the dates and the locations, i even postponed my plans for the easter holidays to sell my older games ONLY TO GET SLAPPED IN THE FACE.
But what makes me more angry is that SPAIN got the event instead! And it doesn't help that i had lost by a ridiculously lucky spanish at paris last year (and that cost me A LOT).

Seriously, FUCK YOU TPCi. I AM NOT GOING TO BEAR THIS ANYMORE!

Well, it looks like I won't get to go...

Tossing out the lottery system is absolutely terrific. THANK YOU NINTENDO!!! *bows down*

But NJ for New England's tournament... That's awful. It'd take me four and a half hours to get there... I'll have to face EE and drcossack, they sound good... But I can't drive until after this summer so I'd have to do something so ridiculous it would get my brother to drive me for ten hours to a Pokemon tournament.

*dies*

=/

I may be going to the SF qualifier instead of Phoenix, depending on my job schedule. So put me down as possible for both, but definitely going to one.
