hey guys have you watched bearsfan092's part 2 video of rng abuse for egg ivs. he didn't mention this step:

1. Turn on your DS and set the date to at least two days after your current date. This will ensure that the Journal comes up.

Even then it's still the shit because you have no method to verify your seed.
It's pretty hard and not worth it.

Well, the method of verifying will be to see whether it's shiny or not...

What Showsni said = true. The only way to verify your seed would be getting it shiny, really. The problem with this lies on the fact that then, you can't know by how much you are actually missing your seed, so it's still hard without and AR/NitroHax.

I was able to get it, non shiny but abused (on frame 5 for Cyndaquil, so it would be the same as abusing for shinyness on the method I posted here (I believe it was first posted by OmegaDonut, about 30 pages before).

You don't have to advance the frames, so it makes the abuse, in all, a lot easier. But without an AR, it would still be trial and error for hitting your seed, without a way to know if you are really close or far from it. Now, sum it with a high and hard to hit delay (mine was 22416), and no egg-moves, and you'll have to decide for yourself if it's worth it or not.

@OmegaDonut: hi i've tried to do rng abuse for egg ivs in dppt, but haven't had any luck. When you go to flipping the journal pages, and the first page says "caught pokemon" does it mean that it already advances the frame by +2 or do i need to flip it to get a +2?

The guides are amazing. I am finally getting the hang of it.

Rng breeding is a lot easier with a flawless/ nearly-flawless Ditto. Is there a special method to get a flawless dito? Or do you SR till you are lucky enough to hit the right seed and encouter Ditto?

I tried using search but it gives me errors while trying.

Has anyone else noticed that when using PikaTimer, the beeps are really inconsistent? Like, at the SR countdown, the first two beeps are about a second apart, but then the third is a little later, then the final one is a little later still? I've managed to kinda get used to it, but I still find it annoying when I'm trying to hit a new seed.

Anyone else had this problem?

You won't know how far you're actually from it.

Yeah, that's why I said you're both right. With an AR, it's totally possible, since you can check the IVs of the starter and know how far you are. Without it, tho, hitting a delay of 22416 would be a pain, even with pikatimer.

Nevermind. I have found how to get a flawless Ditto. I hadn't seen one guide.

All you need to do is to have Ditto as your first Daily Pokemon. Then use seed
52140289 on frame 93 to encouter a Flawless Ditto.

I am having a small problem I am trying to hit a delay of 334 I use elm method to check delay and use Pokemon talk to quickly advance frame and use elm to check current frame and advance it until I am 2 away from my target, I stop at the result that is equivalent to 332 and sweet scent which add the extra 2 but I dont encounter a shiny poke so I must be doing something wrong (seed:561501fa). Any ideas what I am doing wrong?

Do you have your synchronize leading?

Well thanks but can't ride bike in bell tower so I used the ladder to get rid of the poke following me but for some reason no luck and only explanation would be I am not using method k(which I am) anyway I give up for today. i even tried one where 3 frames back to back gave the shiny spread I got a rattata and was not even shiny.

Try the one one frame forward. I know that for me, Sweet Scent only did one advancement in the Burned Tower.

What are you trying to get, anyway? Gastly? Wouldn't breeding one be easier?

Frankly I find catching super easier.Yea I realize the one advancement. I got this once to find which frame I hit I called elm 5 times find my current frame which was 363 minus 5 (Elm call) = 358 which mean before I called elm to get 358 I was on 357. I minus 6(battle monster) from 357 which gave frame 351 and found the actual frame around the one I tried to hit and found an actual which gave me 319 frame and I was at 318 before I sweet scent but don't Know if my calculation are right and lol I think I found my problem but too busy to check.

I got this once to find which frame I hit I called elm a 5 times find my current frame which was 363 minus 5 (Elm call) = 358 which mean before I called elm to get 358 I was on 357 and I minus 6(battle monster) which gave frame 351 and found the frame around the one I tried to hit and found a actual which gave me 319 and I was at 318 before I sweet scent but don't Know if my calculation is right and lol I think I found my problem but too busy to check.

gastly appears around 80% of the time at night
just try every other spread

Gastly not the problem(times are in the 21:00) just hitting the frame is the problem(I encountered no shiny pokes in my quest) but I think I got it now. I will try again tomorrow.

Edit: I decided to try what I have learn and it finally work seem the 1 advancement is correct and possibly the lack of a poke following me(not sure it change anything in my case but who knows) again thanks for the help guys, I really appreciate it.

You can check it using RNG Reporters IV Calc/Dex.

There are two linked in the Ability tab. I personally just use Serebii, it seems as if the first ability listed there is ability 0.

Aaaarrgh! I cant hit my delay! Everytime i check the coin flips none of them match around the delay or seconds im aiming for! Does this mean im hitting a time WAAYYY to many seconds off?
