I'm sorry Haunter for the odd questions, I'm just paranoid about this Jirachi I EV...
Say...about how much time will it take form the release of the entire new generation to the start of the new metagame and the new analysis works?

how can i check the stats my pokemon will have when its level 100 without getting it there? i want to check if i EVed my pokemon right.

was a "No Stealth Rock" metagame test ever attempted on Shoddy before?
if it was, can somebody please direct me to a thread for the results
if it wasn't, why hasn't it been done yet?

The closest you might find is a tournament. And I'm not sure if there was one.
It hasn't been tested, because while it has a huge impact, it doesn't actually seem broken. It's true that the majority of teams run it, but with 24 moveslots 'having' to carry SR isn't a big issue. It nerfs certain Pokemon, which sucks, but they're in a minority. And it works well for all sorts of teams, it's not like it makes everyone play bulky offense or anything.

Bizarre question I'm wondering about here. What happens if you enter the Bug Catching contest with your one Pokemon being a Nincada, and it evolves while you're participating?
I suppose you lose your Shedinja and just get a Ninjask, not sure though.

Sorry shuckle I never saw your post, but since Haunter deleted my post I guess I don't want any further help.

Level ups via the pokewalker are the same as level ups in game right? Say as if you gave the pokemon a Rare Candy?

Just trying to find a reason why I don't trust it, lol.

Pretty much, but if the Pokemon has four moves and is supposed to learn a new one that level, it won't. You'll have to use a Heart Scale to get it tutored if you want that move.

OK, thanks. Just wanted to make sure it wasn't going to fool around with my EVs and such.

Noob question here that I should know the answer to but don't. Do stat boosts/drops get reset when you switch out? For example if I use Draco Meteor does it nerf my SpA for the rest of the battle or will switching out reset my SpA?

Switching gets rid of stat modifications (good and bad) unless a move like Baton Pass is used.

but my onm copy says it learns them when you transfer it back. i think we should test this...

Yeah I seriously need Pokésav and Action Replay help, anyone want to oblige me?

err i can depending on what you need to know

Couple questions:

What would the best way to observe competitive battling be? I am reading war stories and watching any videos I can find. Are there any well known YouTube channels dedicated to battles? I am mainly interested in OU to get started.

Also in terms of eggs, how do the origins work for them? I want one of my Pokemon to hatch in the Lighthouse in SS, however I do all of my breeding in Platinum. Am I able to trade the egg over to SS, and when I do what information will be on the ID, such as trainer.

Location information gives where they were hatched, and your SS will be the OT. However, it will say that the poke was "Link traded."

E.g. My Croconaw in SS (hatched from a Totodile traded from Platinum) reads:

Adamant nature.
Mar. 15, 2010
Link trade
Egg obtained.
Mar. 15, 2010
New Bark Town
Egg hatched.
Often dozes off.

ive been IV breeding adamand beldum to start training my lead, I got a relaxed beldum but its IVs are
hp: 17
atk: 31
def: 31
spatk: 24
spdef: 24
speed: 31

this is pretty awesome, but its not adamant, im going to train it in atk, hp, def, speed, should i just go with this or keep breeding?

LeadGross should probably always have Adamant, so I would keep breeding. Relaxed isn't a bad nature to have on a Metagross, but it does prevent Metagross from being as good as it should.

Normally, I would say sure since your trying to get defense anyway, but if your investing EVs into speed, and Relaxed is -speed.....You might want to keep breeding. Just get an Adamant Ditto and breed it with that Beldum. There is a good chance the IVs will pass on (I don't have RNG either....same situation w/ Seedot. 5 boxes of them).

Hey guys, I listened to what you guys said about getting an adamant one, and i finally got an adamant one with decent IVs,
HP: 27
ATK: 31
DEF: 31
SPatk: 30
SPdef: 24
SPeed: 27
I think this is pretty suitable since im going to EV train it in HP, ATK, and little DEF and Speed, but i dont know whether or not to go for a third 31 IV, what do you think?

I'm looking to add a good set-up sweeper to my OU team. Can anybody think of a somewhat underrated and/or UU sweeper that uses a boosting move?

I would suggest you try getting 31 speed. Keep in mind that in Pokemon, the only absolute stat is speed; all others are just part of a formula. This means that having 1 point of difference in speed does make a difference, while having 2 or 3 less points in Attack may not (in the final result of damage calculation).

Disregard if your build does not really care about outrunning anything in particular.
